Faro de Point Robinson - Cuartos B

Vashon Park District ofrece estadías increíbles en los dos cuartos renovados de los cuidadores en Point Robinson Lighthouse. Las dos residencias comparten la playa con el faro y varios edificios exteriores. Ambas residencias están disponibles para alquiler de vacaciones durante todo el año, ofreciéndole una forma maravillosa de disfrutar de la playa, el sonido y la isla Vashon.

Quarters B es una unidad completamente amueblada de dos dormitorios y un baño con una exclusiva cocina completa y salón. Esta casa está restaurada para capturar gran parte de su condición histórica de 1919. Tiene capacidad para cuatro y seis personas.

La cocina soleada en Quarters B evoca una época de galletas caseras y desayunos lentos los domingos.

La sala de estar cuenta con muebles de época y confort contemporáneo.

Este barrio se alza cerca del faro en la costa de Puget Sound. Ofrece un maravilloso porche con vista al Sonido y al Monte Rainier.

Los cuartos B son parte de un dúplex que comprende la mitad de la planta baja y todo el piso superior de la casa. Está al lado de nuestro cuidador, Mo Anakar. El porche delantero se comparte con entradas separadas.

The lighthouse quarters is historical, beautiful and inspiring to be in. Back to another era! House literally in the water! Stunning. The Keeper next door was lovely to talk with, there if we needed anything! I am always going back.

This is a beautiful location with stunning views that is quick and easy to get to from Seattle, yet feels like a real get-away! The charming, historic, waterfront house is very close to the lighthouse, and in the same park as Oscar the Bird King, one of the 6 giant wooden troll sculptures in the PNW. There are plenty of places to explore, shop, and eat on Vashon. And it is affordable!

House was clean and charming with a great view and lighthouse and troll nearby. However, the shower was in an old clawfoot tub with high sides, so was impossible for me to use.

Beauty and tranquility

We have stayed here multiple times and this time was just as magical as all the other times. We had the great fortune of seeing orcas, otters, seals, herons, and the Low Tide Festival, too! Make sure you get a reservation at May’s for the best Thai food around.

A perfect getaway

A beautiful historic property with sweeping views. The home is cozy and comfortable, perfect for a couple or small family. We enjoyed walking the beach and trails and taking in the spectacular view from the porch. We saw eagles, osprey, heron, and many other birds and wildlife. Truly a fantastic getaway.

Spectacular peace and quiet

This is such a unique location: there was an abundance of nature - herons, seals, birds, lilacs, tulips (it is Spring in the PNW) and unepected views of Mt. Rainier amid the tug boats, ships, and planes that passed by within sight. Quarterhouse B was ideal for settling in and relaxing. It seems intentionally simple, extremely functional, and is delightful. Everything worked, the place was spotless, the kitchen very usable. We felt well welcomed by the caretaker and knew we could call on him with any questions. We would gladly return!

Sweet spot!

Quarters B was a lovely place to stay for New Year’s! The place is well cared for, warm and cozy, had a full kitchen and comfy beds. We enjoyed the stay right on the water and watching the ships go by.

What a treat!

My husband and I spent our anniversary weekend enjoying our stay in “Quarters B.” The house is nicely furnished and equipped. Walked on the beach, visited the troll, enjoyed the restaurants and shops on Vashon. The parks department is great to work with.

Anniversary Getaway

Loved most things about this place! Very clean with great kitchen and nicely decorated with "period" furniture. I have 2 minor criticisms that I feel almost guilty mentioning, but since this is an honest review I want to mention them. The furniture in the living room looks like it should be there but is not very comfortable. We had stormy weather during our stay so we used this furniture for most of a day and it left a lot to be desired. Also, the tub/shower looked great but the hose for the shower portion of the plumbing was not long enough to allow you to hold it above your head (and no place to hook it as a shower head). Overall, we really enjoyed our stay.

Charming & magical

This was our second time to stay at Quarters B and there's something truly special about it. The house is charming and unique, the location is superb, and the views from the front porch and upstairs bedrooms are spectacular. We enjoyed gorgeous sunsets, playing in the water, strolling to the lighthouse, grilling food for dinner, kayaking to a nearby cove, visiting the troll near the upper parking lot, AND watching orcas pass by. Amazing! I felt an incredible sense of tranquility at Quarters B, and the onsite caretaker was very kind and helpful.

Loved it!

Great combination of old but comfort. Looked and gave feeling of age and history but comfortable and clean and new in terms of appliances and bed. Breeze off the water was steady and wonderful. Caretaker is a very nice person and helpful.

Wow

The light keepers house on the beach, with stunning views of the water and Mt Ranier, is cozy, and characterful. Compared to the other vacation rentals I found in Vashon, this one checked off all the boxes and was cheaper. If you can get it, take it!

Point Robinson Park is a 10-acre shoreline park, and, a historical and marine conservancy. It is located on the east shore of Vashon-Maury Island, off Point Robinson Road overlooking the East Passage. The site has provided fog and lighthouse service for vessels since 1885. The lighthouse has been fully automated since 1978. Vashon Park District owns the upland part of the park, and the remainder is on a long-term lease from the U.S. Coast Guard. The property conserves an extensive sandy beach shoreline that wraps around the point, a saltwater marsh, and upland woodlands. Walking trails and a few picnic tables have been developed along the scenic shoreline providing dramatic views of East Passage, Tacoma, Mount Rainier, and the upper wooded slopes. Pt. Robinson Stewards have fully restored the two Keepers' Quarters on the property for use as rentals. All proceeds from the rentals go back into the park's restoration and maintenance.

Point Robinson - what a special gift this property is to the people of Vashon. There are not a lot of places in the world where you can witness whales breaching an arm's length away and giant ships steaming by in the night, or watch Great Blue Herons fish in front of a lighthouse. And now, there is a Thomas Dambo troll art installation (Oscar the Bird King) located at Pt. Robinson Park as well, make sure you stop in to visit him while you're staying with us. So, on behalf of our Island and the Vashon Park District, welcome to Point Robinson Lighthouse. You're going to love it!
