55+ Golf Resort in Beautiful San Diego Hills
Relax and enjoy year-round beautiful San Diego weather in this comfortable, spacious condo with indirect golf course views in the fabulous 55+ community of North Oaks nestled in the Rancho Bernardo hills. Enjoy your vacation with a game of golf, a swim in the pool or a game of pickle-ball or tennis at the Oaks North club house. With easy access to I-15, shopping and a wide range of restaurants, Oaks North is just a short drive to downtown San Diego, beaches, Sea World, and all the attractions the area offers. Our condo is an end unit with extra windows and lots of natural light and only one neighbor to the side and no one above or below in a very quiet complex with friendly neighbors. It's the perfect home base from which to visit Southern California.
This condo is not just a rental property, it is our second home and is exceptionally well-stocked with small appliances in the kitchen (blenders, mixer, etc.), spices, and other supplies. The day bed in the guest room can be made into a short king and there is both twin and king bedding.
In addition to Spectrum cable provided by our HOA, we also have YouTube TV and Britbox.
We have a car in the garage, but there is ample unassigned parking immediately outside the condo. There is sports equipment in the garage for basketball, tennis and pickleball. There is room in the garage to park bicycles should you wish to bring yours. The building is gated and has an elevator.

As we are a new listing, we don't yet have many reviews, but here are a few things guests said about their stays in our Palm Springs condo that we listed on VRBO for 10 years = 4.9/5. (we moved much of our furnishings from there to Oaks North):
"Wow, wow, and wow! Almost reluctant to leave such a glowing review as we'd like to keep this find to ourselves! But...this is a fabulous vacation rental. Beautifully updated, stylish decor, super comfortable bed in the master, and everything you need for your stay. I do mean everything...from wine glasses and cooking utensils and fluffy towels to books to read by the pool! Very clean."
"Very well maintained and updated. Communication with Joy was excellent. She emailed us a document containing all we needed to know and there was a basket of travel brochures available to peruse when we arrived. The condo was well stocked with staples that really was appreciated. Linens were lovely. All we could have asked for and more."
"This is our second stay at El Mirador. This unit is exactly as described and it’s absolutely beautiful with extremely comfortable beds, a well-equipped kitchen, a wonderful living area with TV and a great deck. The owner, Joy, is always available and very responsive."

We live in the Kansas City area and have been hosting a condo in Palm Springs California for the past 10 years (via VRBO). This summer we switched our property to San Diego. I like to have contact with the people who rent from us, and over the years we have had mulitiple parties who have made return visits, and some we now consider friends. Our Palm Springs Condo had a 4.9/5 guest rating.

We love the Rancho Bernardo Hills and the Oaks North neighborhood--and our particular complex which is peaceful, quiet, and friendly. In addition to the facilities offered by the Oaks North HOA (pool, golf, tennis, pickleball, lawn bowling, craft room, etc.) there is a wide range of shopping and restaurant choices within just a few minutes drive, including the Rancho Bernardo Winery. It doesn't feel like the city, but the city is just a few minutes away. There are SO many things to do in the San Diego area (too many to list), and the city has myriad unique neighborhoods to explore.

Our condo isn't just a rental; it is our second home and as such we furnish it with everything that makes our stay most comfortable. A reviewer once said of our condo in Palm Springs that it was the best stocked property he'd ever rented. We have all the necessary small kitchen appliances as well as basic cooking supplies and a large spice collection. The bathrooms are furnished with high quality towels and the beds have Egyptian cotton sheets, and we replace the linens regularly. We just purchased and refurbished the condo summer 2024, and it's ready for your stay!
