Overall we enjoyed our stay at Horizontes Del Mar. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, we felt safe, and we loved the location. It was a bit south of the main drag so it was quieter and there was less traffic. It had everything we needed. The pool and beach were great. Daniela was super helpful and accommodating, helping us plan excursions and securing airport transportation for us. There were 3 things that could have been better. First the worst problem we had was the beds were extremely uncomfortable. I mean extremely hard and they were actually very painful to lay on. So not only did we not sleep well during our stay, we were in physical pain most of the trip. The beds are the main reason we would not stay in this unit again. We paid too much money to be unable to sleep comfortably. The other problem was it wasn’t very clean. There was an almost-empty soda bottle on one of the nightstands when we checked in, some stains on the pillows and bedding, and sand on the floors. Not a huge issue but it could have been cleaner. And the last problem was we found out a few days before our arrival that we could not charge our golf cart that we had reserved months in advance at the condo, so they ended up canceling our golf cart reservation. We weren’t able to find a gas golf cart on such short notice so we had no transportation while we were in tamarindo and had to take Ubers everywhere. It would have been nice to have been able to explore more. Overall nice place & people
