Family vacation

We stayed here with four teenagers for a week. It was good to be right on the beach so everybody can come and go as they please. The location was ideal and it was nice being close to John’s Pass and Tampa for other activities.

Love location

The location is great. The condo was perfect for 4 adults and 2 kids. We would suggest a comfortable chair in the living room. It only had a couch and love seat. We really enjoyed the large balcony, but it would be nice to have a lounge chair to lay on out there. Would definitely rent again.

Great Spot. Property Management non existent

Great spot. This is as close as you can get to the beach without sleeping in a sand dune. Family and I had a blast. However, some of the property management stuff (read: parts of the bed held together with duct tape) should give you pause. They never responded to my queries. But hey, you are on vacation - have fun with the spot. But don’t expect any action out of them once you are there.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: If you want a PERFECT spot on Madiera Beach that is not crowded, this is the place. The beach was never crowded and the location is perfect. Almost every morning there were dolphins that swam past and we had the pleasure of seeing a manatee and some baby stingrays swim by. Everything in the condo was as expected and everything that we needed was available. My only observation was the condo could use a good overhaul (New Carpet, Cabinets etc.) I would highly recommend this property if you want a perfect spot on the beach.

Pleasant area

Over all the condo was very spacious and clean and cool. The location was close enough to grocery stores, restaurants and pier. On property it was very much a family friendly place, it was peaceful. Inside condo, we tend to cook it has some cooking supplies but needs update on coffee pot and non stick pans. We ended leaving a new one for next guests. Tvs worked in living and Master room. The only bad thing I can say is the Bed Matresses in all rooms were not comfortable! They are so worn out, hard and one in the bunk bed deeps down. It was hard to sleep. It would definitely look better with updated furniture.

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: For the price, the unit is very dated. the carpet in the bedrooms was awful. The bedding looked cheap. As compared to other units (we had several families staying at the same time), it was very disappointing that this location didn't have any beach chairs, or beach towels available. This ends up being a big cost increase when having to buy your own beach gear. I won't stay in this unit again, unless it is upgraded.

Bed bugs!!!

Overall, we had a nice vacation despite the fact our condo was infested with bed bugs to which we found toward the end of our stay after we noticed bites on us. We documented it and reached out to the property manager. Resort Rentals had an employee (Mike) come to our room and inspect the situation. He simply stated “sorry”, and that we would be taken care of and he would be in touch. We have yet to hear back about the situation and were forced to stay another night a condo of bed bugs. There was no immediate action taken about the matter nor was anything ever done for us to suit our comfort, leaving us to decontaminate all of our belongings. I highly do not recommend this place for stay.

BEWARE!! BED BUGS!!

This unit was nicely updated but unfortunately had BED BUGS in the front Queen bedroom!! After a misdiagnosed urgent care visit we continued to stay in this unit. On the 5th day in this unit my friends (husband & wife) found several bugs crawlingon their pillows and bed. Resort Rentals office was called & they came out to inspect and said the soonest a exterminater could come would be Monday. We left fri night and were refunded our money,was great but the amount of mental anguish and physical bites(all over their bodies) is inexcusable! So after all the horrible bites we also had to pack ALL our stuff in plastic garbage bags and run the risk of infesting our cars and homes when we returned to Michigan! This poor couple had to stop twice on their way to Michigan to get treatment because their bites and turned into huge welts that were extremely itchy! They had to be put on antibiotics & steroids which interacted with some of their medications. A week later they are still traumatized by this whole mess and still have these horrible rashes!! Please,please, please if u are considering renting this unit make sure u contact the owner and make sure the carpeting in ALL of the bedrooms has been removed and replaced w tile like the rest of the unit!! I can guarantee u that carpet is INFESTED w bed bugs!! I dont care how many times u fumigate that unit if u dont remove that carpet and replace all the furniture in that rm there will still be BEDBUGS

I had family renting others condo units and their units were much nicer. The AC worked very poorly especially in the master suite, made sleeping uncomfortable. Rental agency brought box fans mid week. The freezer part of fridge did not properly work. The bed skirt on the master bed was duct taped together. We were disappointed with our unit especially when having other units at our disposal to view the updates and quality of them.

Perfect fit for the family

It is hard to find accommodations for my big family where everyone has their own bed. This unit was a perfect fit. It also was very clean and nicely updated. We will rent this unit again!

Not what I expected

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The unit is good size. There are some beautiful finishes in about half the unit, including the living space, kitchen, and main bathroom. However the master suite looked like something out of the 70s. There is a tv in the living s0ace and master only and they're small with inconsistent service. The patio furniture was mix matched and falling apart. Our biggest complaint though was the cleanliness when we arrived, very disappointing. After an 18hr drive we just cleaned it ourselves. Overall I would say it is a good location with great space, but the cleanliness is questionable and the "regulars" are quite rude.

I never stayed stayed at a vacation rental that didn’t have a tv in every bedroom. My girlfriend slept on the couch all week so she could watch and hear the tv since it helps her fall asleep. Tv in king room was not working When we arrived and didn’t get it fixed until 2 days before we left. Called mgmt 3 times to get help. Electrical outlets in hall bath were not working. Ceramic floors were dirty. If those things wouldn’t have happened I would recommend this condo to others.

Beach Vacation 2020

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Villa Madeira is a great property. It’s location is terrific, it has easy access to the beach and the pool is nice. We stayed at Villa Madeira last year in a different unit and loved it, so we decided to come back again. However, this unit was disappointing. The 2nd bathroom has been remodeled and is beautiful, but the rest of the unit needs a renovation. It has carpet throughout, which has a lot of stains. Doors were broken or didn’t operate correctly. The master shower felt a bit grungy. We did have a couple issues when we first arrived. We called Resort Rentals and they took care of them quickly. We were very impressed with their service.

after 9 years will NOT be back

Reviewer Comments: This was the 9th year we have stayed at villa madeira and will probably be our last ..we drove for 15 hours and as we get out of our vehicle to start our vacation we are approached by a person whom I am assuming is in charge of the condo and throwing rules at us and don't do this or this and questioning us and it put an immediate distatse in my mouth , then we go into our condo 206 which has broken cabinet doors and unclean dishes and not just one all had to be cleaned..food on spoons and cups ..a bad odor in the rooms ..toilet didn't flush 100 year old coffee pot ..not pleased for the money paid

STAY AWAY FROM RESORT RENTALS AND THIS PLACE

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Horrible. Worst experience from beginning to end. Resort Rentals took our money during the Pandemic without informing us of the condo rental ban. When we tried to get a refund, they refused. After telling me I wouldn't win the credit card dispute and feeling I would lose all my money we went. I have filed a complaint with Florida DPR. Villa Madeira #206 was filthy dirty. There was dust on everything. Carpet was 30 years old, musty and dirty. Main bathroom had a broken toilet seat and mold in shower. Shower handle moldy and leaked. Kitchen cabinet had two broken doors hanging off. Patio table was covered in dirt and filthy. There were small blood stains on two sets of bedsheets. All air vents were covered in dirt and dust. While we were there 4 maintenance men demanded to be let in to fix problem on patio. After letting them in and realizing it wasn't an emergency, I asked them to leave so we could leave and enjoy our vacation. Walls are paper thin and we heard people above walking around, talking, and sliding door open at all hours. I would NEVER again rent from Resort Rentals and I would not recommend this building or unit to anyone.
