Home to the Roosevelts back in the 1800s, as well as many politicians and artists, the area was designed to house fashionable families. Today, it attracts young families and students who seek an inviting place to call home. On weekends, the benches and beautiful trees make the surrounding area of Gramercy Park the ideal place to jog or relax. Its central location makes it easy to get downtown or easily commute uptown for work. Second and Third Avenue offer a great variety of fine dining and bars, ideal for weekday socializing. Union Square, just a few steps away, is a bustling shopping and transportation hub. Grand Central station is only an 18-minute subway ride away.
