Preciosa casa de retiro zen en la hermosa Boulder Colorado

Una casa de retiro zen tranquila y bellamente remodelada en la parte suroeste de Boulder. A solo unas cuadras de espectaculares senderos de montaña. La casa fue rediseñada por un diseñador de interiores y artista. Está bellamente decorado con un plano de planta abierto y mucha luz. La sala de estar de 600 pies cuadrados tiene ventanas de piso a techo y puertas francesas que se abren al patio de lajas y al jardín zen y la característica del agua, lo último en vida interior / exterior. Con 4 amplios dormitorios y 3 baños, duerme cómodamente 6-8. Amplia y espaciosa cocina remodelada, con encimeras de granito y electrodomésticos de acero inoxidable de alta gama. La cocina fue diseñada para el entretenimiento, incluye un mostrador con taburetes, desayunador de arce hecho a medida con mesa escultórica de granito y acero y un hermoso comedor con puertas francesas. Boulder es votada como la mejor ciudad de los EE. UU. Para vivir, conocida por ser ecológica con excelentes rutas de ciclismo de montaña y senderismo en las hermosas montañas y espacios abiertos que rodean la ciudad. Con excelentes tiendas, excelentes restaurantes, una animada ciudad universitaria, sin importar en qué época del año, es un excelente lugar para visitar. Nuestra casa está a solo 8 minutos en automóvil del centro comercial Boulder Pearl Street y a 40 minutos de excelentes lugares para esquiar. Curated, thoughtful, exquisitely beautiful clean spacious home with linen bedding, towels and art work to match each room, Thriving plants, books, comfy beds, cozy fireplace, beautiful outdoor space with bbq and hot tub. Lounging areas - enough for everyone to have their own space & a wonderful open plan kitchen at the centre of everything- so perfect for our family gathering! Our family of 5 adults enjoyed this home immensely and wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Boulder.

CU Boulder Graduation Weekend

Our family stayed here with us for our Buff's graduation and there was plenty of room for everyone. We really loved being able to use the backyard patio, as we had a few meals and snacks outside with everyone. The beds were comfortable and Greg and Jewel were quick to respond to any questions and were able to accommodate our request for an earlier check in. Beautiful home and location and would definitely stay here again.

Perfect for college visits

This home's location was perfect for us for college tours, and a short drive to beautiful hiking trails, shops and restaurants. The home is immaculate and filled with natural light and art. The hot tub was a big hit with our family. We would stay here again.

Peaceful, beautiful, close to hiking and stores

My husband and I spent a lovely 2 weeks in this peaceful, beautiful home to celebrate the holiday season with our son and his fiance, along with our granddaughter. The home is located in a lovely section of Boulder, near to beautiful hiking trails. The home is located close to stores and a short drive to downtown Boulder/Pearl Street. We especially enjoyed the lovely sun room and the plants. The home had everything we needed to make holiday meals and the beds were comfortable. Jewel was a pleasure to work; ommunication a breeze. We would definitely stay again!

I wasn't planning on going in (Six out of Five Stars)

It wasn't on my radar to use the hot tub in the back yard. After all it was winter in Boulder. But when I took a peek, it was crystal clean water and just the right amount of "hot" for a hot tub. Not scorching, not lukewarm.My rankings when up to six immediately upon sitting down in the warm water. Jets pulsating our aching bodies from a rough pickleball session.Ok so the rating was five (the highest) before the hot tub stay. The house was pleasantly nice. An older home made beautiful. Like really beautiful. It was multi-levels. Seven steps up to the top floor with two bedrooms and a bath, six steps down to the lower level with two bedrooms, a bath and a washer dryer. And two steps down to what I call the "zen" room. So an upstairs and downstairs with only 13 steps. The "zen" room is full of gorgeous plants. I don't usually see VRBO homes with plants so that was a nice touch. But this "zen" room also had a fireplace which lit the room warm. If ever I was cold I just wandered over to the "zen" room.The kitchen was my favorite. It was well stocked. Lots of nice quality dishes and cooking pots. It had everything you just had to look for it. Because it was so nicely stocked it took a few minutes to find what you were looking for. BUT you always found it. Walking distance to pickleball courts, small drive to King Soopers. And beautiful mountains every which way you looked. We will be coming back. That hot tub will call us back. :)

Beautiful and truly zen

Stayed for a long weekend with my family - so much space and lots of areas to congregate or chill separately if you prefer. Beautiful backyard and a wonderful neighborhood. Would definitely stay again and recommend highly.

Zen Retreat

My girlfriends and I were looking for a relaxing quiet space to stay in between hikes, shopping, dining, etc. Jewel and Gregory provided the perfect space for this. The property is clean, comfortable and literally zen. Beautiful art, excellent accommodations, serene backyard/patio with hot tub. Quiet neighborhood and close to hiking/biking trails, shopping dining, etc. Their communication before, during and after stay was easy and prompt. Hope to return for another relaxing stay.

Peaceful Retreat

What a lovely quiet and peaceful place to come back to after long days of moving our son into his first apartment for CU. The most beautiful plants, great kitchen, office for my husband to work. All around very comfortable. And, grocery, bagel and coffee shop nearby as well as hiking trails by Flatirons. Gregory and Jewel were very kind and responsive. We hope to return again!

Great spot in South Boulder.

This was a great location for our visit to Boulder. It was easy to walk to nearby shopping and a quick drive to hiking trails and NCAR. The house was relaxing and provided lots of space for our family of 5.

Graduation weekend

Beautiful property and great location. Several seating areas for everyone to spread out. Bathroom downstairs is tight but manageable for most. If not ,it is nice that another full bath is on the middle level. More steps then I realized from reading the listing which is good to know when having older relatives but the railings on the steps really helped. We really enjoyed our stay and your beautiful home.

A peaceful escape

Our visit was so relaxing in this very clean and peaceful house. Bedrooms were comfortable, kitchen was well stocked, and bathrooms were clean. We enjoyed the zen-like feng shui of this home. Perfect location to hiking and the university. We will be back!

Very nice property in good neighborhood, close to hiking trails but also downtown Boulder; definitely recommended. Communication with owner very good, precise and useful - we had very nice family time.

Wonderful Boulder Getaway

This was a wonderful property to stay at with my family over the holidays! The house is beautiful and spotless, with plenty of room to relax and all the comforts of home (and then some!). The kitchen was great and we were able to make a variety of holiday meals. The neighborhood is very quiet and convenient, and close to both downtown Boulder and wonderful hiking options. Would absolutely stay here again.

Beautiful home

Extended family needed a central location to stay in Boulder to be with a dying family member. Jewel and her husband were so kind and flexible with us. It was a beautiful home for everyone to stay, and such a nice neighborhood (also loved having the hot tub access).

Wonderful home

We had a great stay here. The backyard is tranquil and private, and the house is close to many trailheads and downtown Boulder. Great location. We appreciated all the indoor plants too.

Lovely stay!

House very clean and comfortable. Peaceful back yard. Neighborhood very quiet. Easy access to local shopping and restaurants. Quick drive into central Boulder. IMO not suitable for young children due to art pieces and live plants. Might be difficult for someone with mobility issues are there are several stairs and uneven stepping stones.

Boulder Bliss

My husband and I just completed our week-long stay at the ‘Zen Retreat.’ We definitely found this home to meet nearly all of our vacation needs: the open layout was wonderful; the kitchen was well-stocked and spacious for cooking; the bedrooms and bathrooms were super comfy and more than adequate; and the backyard oasis with hammock and water feature was THE perfect spot for calm relaxation any time of day. Although temperatures were higher than average for a Boulder summer during our stay, we found the cooling system to work very well and enjoyed sleeping with the cool temps overnight and windows open. We also greatly benefited from the location close to several grocery stores and easy access to bike & hiking trails. Unfortunately, the hot tub was not working due to a malfunction and missing part that needed to be re-ordered and installed. This was a major disappointment as a hot tub is a must-have for us when hiking and choosing a rental. However, Jewel was incredibly communicative throughout our stay, keeping us updated on the repairs, and she arranged for free passes at a nearby fitness club with a hot tub. We sincerely appreciated the effort to rectify the problem and to provide an alternative. No doubt they will have it back up and running soon! It is clear Jewel & Gregg have put a ton of thought and care into the decor of their home and it truly shows. We thoroughly enjoyed our time at their beautiful property and will look back fondly on our trip to Boulder!

We are a long time Boulder family, my husband went to college at CU Boulder. We love Boulder, we never get bored living here, there is so much to do. We bought our home 23 years ago and have completely redesigned and remodeled every square inch of it, everyone who enters our home, comments on how beautiful it is and how wonderful it feels. We love to entertain and share our home with others. And, we love to travel where we have collected art from around the world. Our favorite things to do in Boulder are hike the beautiful trails and bike. In the summer we go camping and rafting.
