Smart Lock: You were informed about our new smart lock system. Our team offered to stay and troubleshoot, but you declined further assistance. The door was secure and monitored. Lighting in Bedroom: The light bleed you mention came from a transparent glass bathroom wall—again, part of the modern design, with curtains available to adjust. Staff Response: I personally assisted you, stayed on-site, and waited for the cleaner to deliver a new comforter at your request. We even waived the $100 extra bed fee. Every request you made was met—promptly and respectfully. Sound System: Our in-unit sound system is suitable for casual use. Regarding the mattress in question: this was the only one identified for a cleaning fee after your stay, and we provided photos and communication documenting the issue. Out of courtesy—and despite the visible damage—we agreed to waive the $150 charge. However, the refund process was delayed due to the chargeback you initiated, which effectively blocked us from issuing the credit as promised. This was explained in follow-up messages, and we regret that communication broke down during this time. As for your broader accusation: we do not charge guests for pre-existing damage. Our team conducts full documentation between each reservation, and no guest is ever held responsible for anything they didn’t cause. If there had been stains on every mattress, as you claim, you would have been shown this during check-in or reported it immediately. Our expectations are clear, and so are our records.
