Overall clean. Close walking distance to beach. Safe gated area. Parking is limited. Bikes need some work. Tires low. Ice maker broke. Construction on three houses next to it during our stay.

Great Week!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Everything was perfect for the week! We had plenty of room for the 15 people in our family. Close to the public beach and access to the private beach.

House not worth the rental price

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Ice maker did not work, elevator did not work, there were not enough pots or pans in the kitchen. The showers upstairs did not heat properly. The chairs in the balcony were rusted and one broke while a person was sitting in it.

It was stated we would have parking for 3 vehicles and there would be overflow parking but we were only given 2 parking passes and the overflow lot was full. We are in a 5 bedroom house, we needed more parking. We had to park one of our vehicles in the Publix parking lot. One of the guards gave us trouble letting us in because one of our cars didn’t have a parking pass. The gate didn’t always work and there was not always a guard there. The phone # listed on the gate keypad for help was not a correct phone #. The pool was supposed to open at 10 and never opened until. 11. The house’s refrigerator”s icemaker was broken. Maintenance came to check and didn’t know how to fix it. We had to buy ice. The bedroom on the main level”s bathroom mirror was very high. I’m five foot six and I could barely see in the mirror. But the house was very nice, had good seating in living room for everyone. The walk to the beach and pool was quick. The bedrooms had good space for pack n plays. Location of neighborhood is convenient to restaurants and shopping.

Awesome house. Great gated community. Quick walk to the beach and pool. Close to the crab trap restaurant. Absolutely loved the private beach. This is huge to me. The public beaches are always so full and we didn’t have to worry about this with our little kids. It was never busy and we rented the umbrella and chairs so we always had a place to setup at the beach. House was kept at a great temperature so we never got hot in the house. Clean house with lots of room. Plenty of towels, kitchen supplies, etc. we used the elevator when we checked in to bring all our items to the second and third floors. We used it when we left to load up our vehicles. This worked great. Check in was easy. We received our gate code, house code, wifi information, welcome notes and details about our stay shortly after 4 on checkin day. Great experience. This is the second time we’ve stayed in this gated community - Destiny by the seas. And we will be back.

Great house

The house and neighborhood was really convenient. Close to the community pool and close walk to the beach. Bedrooms, etc. are as pictured and kitchen was well stocked. You do have to be careful about parking - only 3 cars can fit at the property (one in garage and only two are allowed in driveway). There is excess parking in the neighborhood, but less than 10 spots total. We had a 4th car (the house fits 15 people, we had less than that but hard to all get there with our stuff in only 3 cars!) so it was an issue figuring out where to go. The pool was closed for the first few days of our trip and we couldn't get an explanation or anyone at the property to tell us why. Not the property manager or owners faulty, but obviously a little disappointing with kids who want to swim in the pool. The management company was responsive, but the office and guards at Destiny by the Sea were not helpful. We still had a great trip overall though!

Carpenter Ants

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house is nice but needs to be updated. The furniture is old and needs replacement. The location is excellent. When we arrived at the home and gained entry, we toured the house. The bedroom on the second floor and the bathroom on the first floor was infested with carpenter’s ants. There were also some In the kitchen. Some were alive and some were dead on the bedroom floor. Maintenance was contacted. A maintenance worker came and sprayed and house keeping swept the floor. We were told an exterminator would come the following day. We cannot confirm if that occurred because we left the property and was gone all day. The carpenter’s ants were present during the entire time of our stay. The first night I slept on the couch because of fear of the ants. We were advised that the ants had traveled from next door due to the construction. Management did provide a partial refund for our inconvenience. A week afree our stay, I was contacted by property management regarding the wrist bands for the pool and beach that had been removed from the vacation rental, which was discovered by the inspection team. I found that peculiar given the fact that those carpenter’s ants were crawling all over the place, and it was not noticed by the inspection team. There were several individuals in our group. I advised that we could not determine who may have taken the pool/ beach wrist bands but offered to pay the replacement cost of the bands but never heard back.
