Just go! You won’t regret it

Needed a get away but near enough stuff type trip so I decided to try elk springs again because of the good price. Like anyone, I was worried about “how it might have changed over the years”.....don’t know why I was worried. Still the exceptional service (even better)...and stay as I was my last visit. From checking on us to make sure we or in ok, to anything else we needed. Had a question for maintenance and they were there within an hour I believe. Super nice and helpful guy answered our questions and they even checked to make sure that process was handled to our liking. Just an all around wonderful process....from booking to checkin out. Thanks to all of you at Elk Springs for a wonderful trip!

Terrible Cabin

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very unhappy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I had decided for me and my husband to take a weekend getaway. After a long month of reading reviews over and over with spur of the moment elk springs resort decided to rent this one. I was so disappointed when we arrived to utilize the hot tub to find it said 100 degrees and was colder than the actual shower in the bathroom. Also toilets stopped up and barely flushing. Not to mention we wanted to watch football and found TVs the size of a little kids tv and a blurry screen you could barely see. This cabin was very outdated and needs updated majorly. I was so disappointed in everything we found considering I complained and they never refunded anything back.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall amazing stay! Cabin was very clean. It is kept well yet still has that rustic cabin feel. Our favorite feature was the hot tub overlooking the woods. Absolutely stunning! We utilized the grill as well which was very nice. The shower in the master bedroom was very cool! A couple notes of feedback: there were over 10 remotes in the cabin but we could not find a Roku remote to work streaming services. While this wasn't a huge deal to us since we weren't here often, some this may be more important. Certainly upgrading the technology package would be a suggestion for this cabin to compete with other hotels/cabin rentals. Service from Elk Spring was 10/10 and they made check in and out very easy!!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Our stay was absolutely perfect. We arrived and the cabin was extremely clean and prepared just for our stay. This cabin is perfect for two couples to go down and enjoy gatlinburg. You are close enough to the strip that a little 20 minute drive is all it takes to grab dinner. But you are far enough back in the woods you feel secluded. I highly recommend staying here! We will rebook. The hot tub was an added bonus :)

Kind of disappointing

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were only staying for 3 days. Just a quick getaway from our very busy lives. We were looking for a place to relax and not have any worries for a couple of days, but that is not what we got during this stay. The refrigerator wasn't working on the first day, although we didn't know it until that night. Didn't the next day with a maintenance man, who thought he fixed it. He didn't. Doesn't the next day with more maintenance men, we ended up bringing us an old refrigerator. The left the water line in the floor, which started leaking water everywhere. We cleaned that up, up it in the cooler. Next day, another maintenance man walked into our cabin without knocking. Said he was in the wrong cabin. We had to check out the next day. Everyone was nice, but it definitely wasn't relaxing. We had the same problems we were trying to escape from.

This one was a bit dated and needs better cleaning. Dead bugs in the window sills and greasy cabinets above the stove. Main bathroom toilet needs super cleaning. Black under the toilet rim. Had trouble opening door to the deck had to leave it ajar so we could get back in. Very dated would pick another property next time.

Winter Getaway

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The cabin was perfect for our family of four. It was our first time visiting the Smokey’s so we did not know what to expect. The kitchen is fully stocked with quality utensils/cookware. The downstairs game/bedroom area were cozy. The pool table isn’t in the best shape, but it provided hours of fun. A cold snap came through when we visited so we took advantage of the hot tub and gas fireplace. I wish the other two fireplaces actually produced heat, but they at least add to the atmosphere. The views were okay; the other side of the cul du sac are much nicer. The location was convenient to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, only a 15 min drive in either direction; but far enough to be peaceful.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: When we arrived at the cabin, everything was very tidy. However, when we tried to turn on the TV in the upstairs common area, the TV would not work, despite all efforts. It would turn on, but you could not watch anything. We then tried to use the television in the downstairs common area, but there was no remote for the TV. I was eventually able to download an app on my phone which allowed me to log into roku and use the remote through my app. (Thankfully) Moving on to the spare bedroom, (which my mother stayed in) there was no remote for the TV in this room either. One of the two things we were wanting for our cabin was a pool table and a hot tub. The hot tub was great. However, there were no pool sticks that were able to be used. (I'm not a skilled pool player and I'm not familiar with what a "good" pool stick is.)However, none of the pool sticks even had tips on them. They were all bent like someone had chewed the end of them or there were no tips at all. Oh, and when i pulled out the bed in the futon/couch, there were red stains all over the sheets attached. I am not the typical Karen, but there were a lot of small things that added up that were very very disappointing.

Not so relaxing....

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was somewhat unhappy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The home was spacious, but was lacking in several areas. The hot tub had the filter floating around in the water (not the chemical piece, but the actual filter) and the headrests were missing- so laying back was near impossible. The "shower tower" was dark and musty- smelled of urine. When you run the washing machine, the smell is so awful in the shower you have to vacate the bedroom all together. The televisions were tiny- the size of a computer screen. The home was otherwise clean and in a good location- they are building two homes next door, so plan on early morning construction noise!
