This cottage is an absolute treasure! Located on the water on a quiet and beautiful area, it was just what we had hoped for. Orcas, otters, seals and various bird life visited. We had all the amenities we needed. Cordelia and John were helpful and interesting hosts who gave us lots of tips about what to see and do. Excellent wifi.We’ll be back!

Peaceful Paradise

If you are looking to experience the beauty, wildlife, and serenity of the northwest then this is the place! Cordelia and John's property is on a stunning point and surrounded by water on three sides with lots of trees - perfect for a lovely retreat. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there and saw eagles, otters, seals, and herons. The cabin has all the modern amenities while also feeling as though you are in the wilderness - a great combination! Plus, Cordelia was a joy to talk with and was an absolute font of local lore and destinations which immeasurably improved our explorations and ramblings in North Saanich and Victoria! Would be very happy to return and grateful for our time there!

The owners were excellent and shared lots of ideas of things we could do in the area. The cabin was very well equipped and had everything we needed. Being so close to the ocean for 6 days was awesome.

One of natures best

Wonderful hosts always extremely helpful. An older cottage set in beautiful natural surroundings. The cottage is equipped with everything you need to enjoy and relax but feel a few days only would suffice, Unfortunately we booked for two weeks and were unlucky to have bad weather with a lot of rain.

The absolute best hosts - incredibly gracious, generous and thoughtful - in the most breathtakingly beautiful place. I cannot imagine another location on earth to recommend more highly. The cottage is a clean, comfortable luxurious get away. You can watch and hear the ocean while you reflect and relax. So many adventure options within walking distance. An abundance of wild life and incredible views every time you glance out the incredible water front windows, truly a once in a lifetime experience. I genuinely could not believe this was real when my reservation was confirmed! You will not find a better experience - period! Let alone for the incredible price for your own slice of paradise.

Picturesque & Quiet!

Our hosts John & Cordelia were so gracious & kind. We enjoyed the area for hiking & exploring. It is so quiet in Deep Cove, our visit was quick but we would happily return. The only disappointing thing was the patio doors were sealed due to the upcoming colder weather. That would have allowed us to get photos of the wildlife without scaring them away.

Tranquil and Gorgeous!

We arrived with high expectations, and were still blown away. Between the sunsets in the hot tub and the porpoises, hatchling geese, variety of cheerfully chirping birds, seals and all manner of beautiful living things, this property had it all and then some. It is clear John and Cordelia love their home and enjoy sharing it, meticulously maintaining the local ecosystems. Thank you for sharing your cottage with us!

Very nice!

Location is amazing, the cabin is cozy and well equipped. Lots of sea life to watch, and the hosts are friendly and have lots of information to share about the area. This is a really nice rental.

Short winter break

We had a very comfortable and wam stay in this beautiful,quiet location. The cabin is situated on the water with otters, seal, eagles,and kingfishers to watch even at this time of year. Although the weather was mostly chilly and wet we had sunny breaks that provided us times to walk and enjoy the rural area that provides many receational opportunities. Cordelia and John are wonderful hosts and very freindly and helpful. Thank you!

Tranquil and comfortable location

We were lucky to be accepted here. Their waiting list can go up to two years. And with good reason. The cabin is located at the end of a road, on a little peninsula, overlooking the Saanich Inlet. It accommodates two people and we were extremely comfortable. Our hosts, Cordelia and John were very attentive and made sure we knew what to do in the surrounding areas. The kitchen is well appointed with lots of the little things we often forget to bring along. Same thing for the bathroom which has the best soaker tub and a wonderful rain shower. It's a great experience for those looking for a quiet time away from busyness but close enough to some wonderful shopping and restaurants. Highly recommended.

Peaceful, beautiful sanctuary!

This location is so beautiful and serene, you almost need to go nowhere else. Cordeia is quite gracious and helpful, and the cabin is comfortable and has all amenities. The neighborhood is lovely, and the town of Sidney charming, yet you are still realtively close to any other attractions. I would come back!

Amazing Stay

We had an amazing time. The hosts, Cordelia and John were so welcoming and helpful with the local sights and things to see, the cabin was wonderful, the bed was so comfortable. It was amazing to fall asleep listening to the water lapping against the shore. We can't wait to return for another visit.

Perfect little getaway

I had a wonderful time! The property and cabin was absolutely beautiful and Cordelia and John’s were the perfect hosts. Cozy cabin on the water

The cabin was lovely - well laid out, nicely equipped, quiet, and with stunning water and sunset views. There were also lots of great places nearby to wander among beautiful trees. Our host was incredibly thoughtful with daily email suggestions for things to do and sights to see, not to mention a gift card to the local market, plus cake and a card as this was a 50th birthday getaway. Thank you for helping to make this a memorable experience ❤️

Perfection!

Absolutely the most beautiful spot on the most beautiful island in Canada! Cosy cabin with spectacular views. We saw eagles and sea lions and dolphins from our cabin and the hot tub. Everything you need and more in the cabin. Lovely walks in the neighborhood and a short drive to Sidney for browsing and lunch. Cordelia was very friendly and provided lots of suggestions for things to do. But mostly we wanted to sit and stare out at the sea! So relaxing and inspiring.

Breath taking views

We feel privileged to observe wildlife in its natural setting from our home on a daily basis. Seasonal changes attract different wildlife, and offer exceptional and varied viewing experiences year-round.
