The neighborhood is home to a mix of historic homes and modern apartments, many of which have been beautifully restored to their original charm. From the leafy streets to the friendly residents, Capitol Heights offers a warm and inviting atmosphere that makes visitors feel right at home. With its close proximity to downtown Montgomery, residents and visitors alike can easily access the city's top attractions, such as the Alabama State Capitol, the Rosa Parks Museum, and the Dexter Avenue King Memorial Baptist Church, to name just a few. There is gravel parking in front and additional parking in the back — use whichever is easier. Guests enter from the front, up two or three steps onto the small front porch, where the electronic deadbolt is on the front door. There is also a secondary rear entrance from the kitchen. Your code is released in your digital guidebook once your rental agreement is signed, your check-in form is complete, and your balance is paid.

** 1935 CHARACTER APARTMENT WITH MODERN COMFORT **
Walk into original hardwood floors and built-in bookcases that tell this apartment's 90-year story. We've preserved the historic bohemian charm while adding the modern updates that make longer stays genuinely comfortable—new mattresses, fast Wi-Fi, Smart TVs, and laundry in-unit. This is a duplex unit (you're the left side, looking from Madison Avenue), so it's exclusively yours, but you'll share a wall with the building's other unit. Your space spans 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, a dedicated dining room, comfortable living room, and a fully stocked kitchen with newer appliances.

** BEDROOMS & BATHROOMS
Two spacious bedrooms, each with a queen bed and new mattresses designed for real sleep after real days. Both bedrooms have dressers and closets—important if you're unpacking for a week or longer—plus Smart TVs so you can wind down on your own terms. The renovated bathroom features a tub/shower combo, giving you flexibility for how you want to relax after exploring or working.

** KITCHEN & DINING
Fully stocked kitchen with newer appliances, cooking basics, and all the dishes and silverware you'd need to cook a meal or just make coffee. The dedicated dining room seats 4, so you can host colleagues, friends, or just spread out your work. Fast Wi-Fi runs throughout the apartment if you need to work from the dining table or living room.

** LIVING SPACES & AMENITIES
The comfortable living room has seating and a Smart TV for streaming. You'll find board games available if you want to settle in for an evening. The in-unit washer and dryer mean you can pack light and wash as you go—a game-changer for anyone staying longer than a long weekend. Original hardwood floors flow through the main spaces, and the bohemian, eclectic interior has real character (not the sterile "modern minimal" vibe).

** OUTDOOR SPACE & PARKING
A grassy outdoor area is perfect if you're traveling with pets—this is a pet-friendly property. Gravel parking is available in front and additional parking in the back, so you can use whichever is easier. The front entrance has two or three outdoor steps up to a small front porch with an electronic deadbolt. If stairs are a concern, there's also a secondary rear entrance accessible from the kitchen.

Driving or taking an Uber is the best way to get around Montgomery.

📝 Rental Agreement
Every guest is required to sign a short rental agreement after booking
This is not optional: our property insurance requires a signed agreement for each stay, and our attorneys have advised the same
It covers house rules, check-in and check-out procedures, occupancy limits, and responsibility for damage
It takes about two minutes — there is no app to download and no account or password to create
We send it after booking along with a brief check-in form, and your access details follow once both are complete

🏡 Property Setup
This is one side of a two-unit building — 1907 is the left side looking from Madison Avenue
Other guests may be staying next door during your reservation
Your apartment is private and exclusively yours

🚗 Parking
Gravel parking in the front and additional parking in the back — use whichever is easier

🚪 Getting In
Guests enter from the front — two or three steps up to the small front porch

🗑️ Trash
The bins are on the side of the property and get pulled up front on pickup day
City pickup runs twice a week
If you move a bin out, please bring it back the same day — bins can't be left at the curb overnight

Every request has to be manually approved

Fee: $20 per hour, with a one-hour minimum

An indoor noise-monitoring device measures noise levels only
The noise monitor does not record audio or video and is not placed in any bedroom or bathroom

🔑 Minimum Booking Age
The primary booking guest must be at least 21 years old for an apartment
The primary guest must be present throughout the reservation
The primary guest is responsible for their group, visitors, and compliance with house rules
Reservations that misrepresent the primary guest's age may be canceled in accordance with the applicable booking terms
