The property grounds were very nicely maintained. The lake had a great sandy bottom and the lake water was very clean! A very nice get away for all!

My husband, my parents, and I booked this property for a family summer trip. We are extremely low-maintenance and only expect a reasonably clean place with basic, functional accommodations.My parents arrived first and immediately found a strong mold smell, so they were moved to a smaller cabin. When we arrived, the floors were so dirty that walking barefoot left our feet completely black. The place felt like an IKEA display in that nothing worked and if it did, it was super uncomfortable. We deal with it. Next morning: the toilet began leaking from the base and water quickly spread into the hallway. We had used it normally and brought septic-safe supplies as required. When my parents contacted the owner, instead of helping, he became childish, defensive and accused us of causing the problem, suggesting we put a paper towel in the toilet. He told us, “Can’t you just hold it?” and suggested we rent a pontoon boat instead. "Why are you inside on vacation? Go do something". Meanwhile, toilet water was spreading onto our belongings, and the shower and sink were backing up.What was unacceptable was the owner’s attitude and refusal to provide a reasonable solution. We ultimately had to relocate, book hotels, move our belongings, and lose most of a vacation day. The owner also refused to refund the night and a half we stayed, claiming he had to spend 400 on a plumber as if that had anything to do with us. Stay literally anywhere else.

Loved the lake!

My husband and I stayed with our 2 teenagers and my mother in law. We really enjoyed renting a pontoon boat for 2 days of our visit and meet out on the lake. The lake itself was very quiet and the 2 weekdays we were out we saw very few other people. There was plenty of room for our family. Although it is a small rental so you won't exactly have a lot of privacy! The grounds are very sandy, as mentioned in the rental listing so be prepared! I had a couple of questions during the during the stay and leading up to our visit and the owner was always quick to get back with me and answer any of my questions. The closest gas station was out of gas the duration of our trip so it was a bit of a pain the 2nd day when we realized we would need more gas for the boat. Obviously not the owners fault, just an FYI. Otherwise the store had all the basics we needed. Would definitely visit again, thanks!!

Dirty cabin

We didn't even end up staying there. The beds abd the floors were dirty. They had sand, hair, dog hair, and dirt in the beds and sand/dirt on the floors. After we saw all of this we ended up having to find another place to stay. Also based off this listing I wasn't aware the cabins were all so close together. I was very disappointed in this place.

Memorial Day weekend

We stayed there over Memorial Day weekend. The lake, beach & views are the best! Everything that we needed the owners responded and helped with. Would stay here again!

The area is beautiful

Wasn't really impressed with our cabin. The floor was dirty, as child was crawling on it. Didn't realize there wasn't heat, so it was very cold at night. The cabin also smelled bad, like someone was smoking in them - although said not too. We would likely go again, but stay in a different cabin for longer than a weekend. I would also make sure to clean it myself, although we pay a cleaning fee when booking?? Not sure what was actually cleaned, but rather picked up and wiped down quick maybe. You could also hear everything going on outside, talking, etc., as if the people were in the cabin with you. Property manager mark was nice. Enjoyed our time on the water. Experience could have been much better.

We are a young family that fell in love with Traverse City while on vacation and wanted to share our love with tourists from all walks of life. We bought a few little rentals in the area and we try our best to make them comfortable for everyone. The lake is one of our favorite places to be, whether we are swimming or having fun on the boat and what a great location for others to make memories with their family and friends.
