¡Bienvenido a Hatteras Island! Esta acogedora cabaña de playa se encuentra a solo una vuelta de las arenas de la prístina costa nacional del Cabo Hatteras. Con dos dormitorios, un baño y un área abierta de sala y comedor, este es un lugar perfecto para su escapada a la playa. Hay mucho espacio de estacionamiento, un área cubierta para equipo / equipo, una estación de limpieza de peces, ducha al aire libre, TV por cable, Wi-Fi de alta velocidad y una sala de lavandería compartida. 3 Day Vacay

My husband and I rented for 3 nights, a pre summer getaway. Perfect weather, tis little 2 bedroom was perfect for us. Wrll-equipped kitchen, new flat screen with lots of streaming, plush towels, firm mattress, all very clean. And, great taste in decor.

Rustic but charming

The property is very clean, and the owner went out of his way to make sure we had everything and could check in when we wanted. It is rustic but extremely charming and in a great neighborhood. Added plus is the front porch is all gated off so our dog happily came in and out and in and out! Great hideaway for a long weekend.

Great location but poorly maintained

This house is in a great location but it is poorly maintained. The roof leaked, we were locked out of the only bathroom and it was not cleaned properly so we did some of it ourselves. It was not ready at check in time but this was not a problem for us as we arrived late. This could be a good house if it was better maintained.

Tim, I am sorry I did not meet your expectations. I have never in 7-8 years plus of renting my home received a 2 star review. There was a couple of minor hiccups details due to an emergency with my original cleaner. There was driving coastal showers for 2 days,(believe me I’m disappointed my roof didn’t hold up), and the cleaner unfortunately locked the bath room shut. Never tried to contact me for assistance instead told me you were about to remove the door, and then you were very rude on the phone. Also offered to move you into an adjacent unit or refund all your money. You never called back or didn’t say anything until you want to cut up on my place here.

Just as described!

This cottage was exactly as described. If you're looking for a low key vacation with prime beach access,. this is the place for you. The walk to the beach was convenient and simple and the cottage had everything needed for our family of 4 + our dog. I had a hard time finding a pet friendly house so that our senior dog could join us for her last summer and I'm so glad I chose this one. The central location within Avon was ideal and if we hadn't had our dog with us, we probably would've walked or rode out bikes the whole week. We loved the wall of glass sliding doors and the large & comfy couch. The cottage was well equipped with everything we needed for the week. Chase was super responsive and communication top notch. Thanks so much!

As I sat on the deck of the cottage on my final morning, engulfed in the tranquil calm and the incalculable peace of the place and the neighborhood, I waited until the last possible minute to leave because quite frankly, I did not want to. Although it technically is not ocean front, it may as well be. The walkway to the beach is a stones throw. Like sunrise walks on the beach --- this is the perfect spot. Take a night-time stroll, or even make a bonfire on the beach --- this is the spot. You can set up your tent, leave it and come and go as you please. It's as if you have your own private beach. You can hear the tide clear as a bell, in the quiet of the neighborhood. You are within walking distance to the highest rated restaurants in Avon. The place itself is small, just enough for a small family, but the deck is bigger than most decks, with plenty of room for kids and guests. There is also a sizable side yard where children and pets may play --- and a very sizable "underneath" for get-togethers. The cottage has that "lived-in" feel, capturing the essence of beach life, unlike an anti-septic agency sort of feel, you feel the homeliness as soon as you walk in. The host leaves good ol' beach novels and a closet full of games. The sound and the national seashore are a 5 minute drive away. If you are the kind of person who needs a all manner of luxury, this is not your spot. If you love the beach, this is the place. This is one of VRBO's best places I have stayed.

Great place on Hatteras Island

Very responsive host, easy check in. The cabin has a new deck, new chairs which was great. The two bedrooms and one full bathroom were clean and well stocked. Outside shower as needed. The location is awesome with a quick walk to a wide beach through the dunes. Walk to Avon Pier. Within walking distance to several restaurants and shops. Easy to get to other locations on Hatteras.

Getaway Cottage

Overall we had a good stay. We felt like the rental for this was a little overpriced considering that there is some work that needs to be done. The access to the beach was awesome! The location for the cottage is quiet. Usually we don’t pay for a beach house so this could just be accurate pricing for that area of the OBX. Chase was very nice and accommodating!

Overall good

Detail clean when possible. Trash behind both chess drawers. Fire extinguisher out of date. Smoke alarm was sitting on shelf. Trash can outside stunk . Good access to beach. I would suggest less kitchen items and don’t keep what other renters left behind. Have less but have utensils clean. I would not trust bottles of spices, etc that people left. Quiet.

Great little house with room for dogs.

The house was exactly as advertised. Good location to either walk to beach or drive 3 minutes to escape people so our dogs could run off leash on the National Seashore Park. Plenty of nearby restaurants and shops, it was a wonderful stay!

Dog friendly - get away

It was nice to have an option to stay with our 2 dogs at the beach. We enjoyed walks on the beach and sitting on the deck at night and watching the stars. Home was a good size for 2 adults and 2 dogs. However home could use a professional cleaning and is in need of some maintenance and repair. Owner was quick to respond regarding plumbing issues, but the decks and stairs are in need of TLC and not recommended for anyone with children or issues climbing steps.

August Beach Vacation

We had a beautiful week at the beach! The house was clean and very close to the beach. Everything was as advertised. I would recommend providing some hand towels. The grill is missing the lower grate so that made it difficult b/c the coals were too low. Chase was an awesome host who went out of his way to communicate and make our vacation very enjoyable. Thank you again!

Perfect pupper vacation

Had a blast with the 4 of us and our 2 dogs. Place was adorable and exactly like it was listed. Great location to the beach, even made friends with the next door neighbors and the house behind us. Definitely will stay there again.

Decent house, needs fine tuning

The distance from the beach is great, you just need to cross the street and climb over the dunes to get to the beach. The house was decent, and as advertised, but needs some attention to detail. The lighting was poor and it would have been great to have ceiling fans in each room. The kitchen was well stocked but could use a few more sets of silverware for a family of 4. All the appliances were new, and worked well, which was nice. The grill was missing the bottom grate for the coals to sit on which rendered the grill useless. The deck and stairs have seen better days and were soft to walk on in many places with the railings falling off, and the deck chairs were flimsy. Chase was very helpful and responsive with anything we needed. Overall, we had a great week and it was a fine place to stay, but it's got a ton of potential to be an awesome little cottage!

I am sorry to hear your review. These issues have never been mentioned in my long history of 4 and 5 star reviews dating back to 2016. The whole front wall consist of 3 large sliding doors that allow natural sunlight to illuminate the whole kitchen and living area, and there are two windows and lights in each bedroom. The grill has been used by many people and I’ve never heard of it being useless because there was not a bottom grate. Also, if you needed more silverware I would have been happy to accommodate that request. As far as the decks go they have been looked at by construction professionals and structurally reinforced to ensure safety. Thanks for your stay.

Thanksgiving beach trip

We stayed at this property over Thanksgiving. It was perfect for my husband and myself along with our two kids and two dogs. The kitchen had everything we needed and the location was perfect. Chase was easy to communicate with. We will definitely be back!
