Hi, we’re Zach and Karrah, and we’re the family behind The Hangout House.

We fell in love with Gulf Shores because it’s one of those rare beach towns where you can truly slow down and spend real quality time together. Our favorite days here usually start with an early walk to the beach, followed by swimming in the Gulf, grabbing ice cream or dinner near The Hangout, and ending the night relaxing on the patio with the Gulf breeze.

We designed The Hangout House to be the kind of place we would want to stay with our own family. We travel often with our kids, so we know how important it is to have a home that is comfortable, easy, and thoughtfully set up for families and groups. That’s why you’ll find things like beach gear, family-friendly amenities, comfortable beds, and plenty of space for everyone to spread out.

We also chose this location very intentionally. Being able to walk to the beach and still be close to restaurants and attractions makes a huge difference during a vacation. You can spend less time driving and more time actually enjoying Gulf Shores.

Hosting gives us the chance to help other families and groups create the same kinds of memories we love making here. Whether it’s a family beach trip, a weekend getaway with friends, or a special celebration, we want your stay to feel easy, relaxing, and memorable.

The Hangout House is located in East Fifteen Cottages, a small, quiet beach community made up of just 15 homes. Unlike large condo complexes, the neighborhood feels relaxed and uncrowded, making it easy to enjoy the beach and pool without the hustle and bustle of bigger resorts.

One of the best parts of staying here is how easy everything is. The beach is just a short 2–3 minute walk (about 809 feet) from the house, so you can go back and forth throughout the day without packing up the car. The community pool is only 36 feet away, which is especially convenient for families with kids.

Guests also love how close the home is to the heart of Gulf Shores. The Hangout, Picnic Beach, local shops, and restaurants are all less than a mile away, making it easy to grab dinner, ice cream, or enjoy live music without a long drive.

Even though you’re close to everything, the neighborhood itself stays peaceful and family-friendly. Mornings often start with quiet walks to the beach, afternoons are spent swimming or relaxing by the pool, and evenings are perfect for heading into town for dinner or enjoying the Gulf breeze back at the house.

It’s the kind of location that makes beach vacations simple, relaxing, and easy to enjoy.

What makes The Hangout House stand out is how well it works for families and groups who want comfort, privacy, and an easy beach vacation.

The home offers four bedrooms and four private bathrooms, which is surprisingly rare for beach houses in this area. Every bedroom has its own bathroom, so multiple families or couples can stay together without sharing spaces or waiting in line for showers.

We’ve also equipped the home with thoughtful extras like beach gear, family-friendly amenities, and parking for up to four vehicles, which is rare this close to the beach.
