Lover of art, adventure and nature. I left the state for 10 years to travel the world and experience life in a handful of more southerly climes, but, in time, the lure of the Great Lakes State pulled me back. Milford has been my home base for 20 years. I look forward to sharing my home and my town with you!

This house was built to last in the early 1950s. I fell in love with its hardwood floors, plaster walls, cove ceilings and window-filled, year-round sunroom. It has a special charm and a good vibe that people immediately feel when they enter. The updated and finished lower level offers an equally inviting area to work or relax. Surrounding the house are many hardwoods, pines and perennials providing plenty of peaceful outdoor spots to enjoy a good book, work on your computer or nap in the hammock.

Our Guests come from all over the world for all different reasons. But they have much in common when it comes to the reasons they choose the Red Maple Retreat:

~ Families in real estate transition who need a lovely, comfortable, fully-equipped place to stay after their former house sells and before they can move into their new house.

~ Families with kids who desire more space than a hotel room affords. They love the idea of preparing and enjoying home-cooked meals together, but they also appreciate the privacy that having multiple gathering areas and more than one bathroom provides.

~ People with pets who don't want to leave their dogs in a kennel. Our pet-loving guests love that we welcome their four-legged friends. They also love that their pets are free to run and frolic in our large, fenced backyard.

~ Our Business Guests seek a place that feels like home-away-from-home. Some put a high priority on having a fully-equipped kitchen. Others love having private outdoor space. They all love the convenience of our high-speed internet.

~ Writers, Artists, Scrapbookers and all who want to unplug and just chill, love the peace and quiet of the Retreat. The also love creating and reading in our light-filled sunroom surrounded by nature.

My goal in creating the Red Maple Retreat is to provide a peaceful space for visitors that is cozy, safe, convenient and comfortable - the kind of space I like to stay while on the road. That's why I also provide hotel-quality sheets and towels and all the essential kitchen accessories you'll need to make simple meals while you're away from home. I've carefully designed my vacation home to spoil you and ensure your peace and comfort during your stay.

For those dedicated to green living, we use no chemicals on our lawn, encourage recycling, and offer composting of organic waste.
