The condo was clean and as depicted on the website. Great views and the ac worked nicely. The kitchen was well appointed with appliances and utensils. Needed a toaster though. Garth was prompt in responding to our texts and even brought extra beach chairs for us. You do need a car to get around the island.

Great communication from Garth and Marsha. The view from the balcony was extraordinary and condo is fairly centrally located on the island. Plenty of space for 4 adults to maneuver and we definitely made use of the fully equipped kitchen. Living area was spacious and the streaming TV allowed us to watch what we wanted, while relaxing after a full day. We spent a lot of time on the balcony and appreciated both the table and propane grill. Suggestions from hosts for places to go were all fantastic. This place actually exceeded our expectations, and we hope to return again next year.

Felt like home!

The interior was gorgeous and had everything a home would have. The location is beautiful with a great view of the bay. It is also a very quiet location with a mixture of locals and travelers. I would definitely stay here again.

Amazing Stay

Absolutely loved my stay! Marcia and Garth were fantastic hosts—very welcoming and responsive. The home was spotless, cozy, and spacious, with amazing AC (which can be hard to find!). Everything was just as described, and I felt right at home. Would definitely recommend and plan to come back!

The unit was clean and exactly as pictured. The property was safe and quiet (aside from the rooster wake up calls, bring ear plugs if you don't appreciate that like I do) and the view from the balcony was lovely. The hosts were helpful and responsive. Use Palm Garden Condominiums in the GPS and you will have no trouble finding it from anywhere on the island. I was grateful we rented a small SUV, the mountain roads are narrow, windy, and patchy (it took me about 3 days to get comfortable driving on the left side of the road). We were without power on 3 different occasions (not the hosts fault, just something to consider). We enjoyed the beaches, mountain top, paradise point, and took the ferry to St Johns for a day. The fish tacos at Sapphire Beach and Creamy Crepes in Red Hook were my favorites. If we had beach chairs, a cooler and a toaster, we would have had everything we needed. If you are looking for an adventure and want to experience everything the island has to offer, this stay will not disappoint. I you want to be sheltered and pampered, you may want to think about a resort stay. Thanks Marcia and Garth!

Once we landed on the island we felt like home! With the directions giving by Vrbo we were looking for the condo for over an hour and had to pay extra for the cab for time wasted and had to walk from the top of the hill down. You should listed Palm Gardens as your location and not Annas Retreat for a better sense of direction. Upon arrival we noticed a lot of stray cats. Me and my guest didn't mind as we are cat lovers. Marcia was helpful with giving us the guest access code after we didnt receive the proper instructions by Vrbo. Once instead we notice the condo was not as clean as expected but overall decent enough for us to still enjoy our stay. Unfortunately we were unable to use the washer and dryer set up as it had too much scum build up. The view was BEAUTIFUL!! Our beds were comfortable and we loved the balcony!! The balcony and view really made this spot stand out over others. The grill was not cleaned upon arrival and only one side and the outside stove top burner was working so we were unable to grill. Things like this matter especially on vacation and these items are listed as amenities.

Close proximity to our home we bought to renovate was our main reason but having lived here over a year I would choose it over any other area here . Easy to find good parking which can be an absolute nightmare in some areas Believe me we experienced looking for hours to find a place and then no where to park and walking a long way and climbing steps and noisy parties

Everything you will need without having to bring things . Convenience of being able to come back from beach and grill out on deck and watch sunset with unobstructed view of the water
You can cook when you want and save money to splurge on a few meals at local restaurants.
It is expensive to live or visit here so economics plays a big part in how you enjoy yourself
Most units are owner occupied and done have been here over 20 years
Makes it a quiet restful place to go to at end if day
