I’m glad you enjoyed your stay at our cabin – thanks for the great review you left in our on-site guest book: “We stayed here for our “mini honeymoon”. We very much enjoyed our time here. The cabin was great, hot tub wonderful. We explored Hendersonville, Asheville, Chimney Rock, & Lake Lure. Some of the very best food and drinks we have ever had anywhere in the country. . . Enjoyed Hendersonville downtown very much.” Plus a list of six area restaurants you highly recommended. I was surprised to hear that the sofa was noisy since I had just been sitting on it earlier in the day that you checked in and did not notice a noise. However, when I checked it after you left your review I did notice that it was making a little noise when I sat on it. It’s a sofabed, so I opened it up and put some oil on each of the hinges of the frame. Then I couldn’t hear the little noise any more. It took us about 5 minutes to fix it and no more noise! When I personally checked you in at the cabin I told you to call or text if you had any questions or needed help with anything. And I mentioned that we were staying elsewhere on our 20 acre property so were close by if you needed anything. And yet, I heard nothing about this problem until days after you had left. It’s very sad that you had such an unsatisfactory experience with the little noise made by the couch for the 4 days of your stay, but did not undertake the minor effort to let us know so that we could resolve it. I’m also sorry that you saw fit to give us only 3 stars. 100% of our previous reviews for our Cabin in the Meadow are five star. In light of the great review from you in our on-site guest book and your complaint here about something so minor that you didn’t even feel the need to ask us to fix it while you were there, this is really mystifying. It’s too bad because you were otherwise great guests. You may want to give more thought to your star ratings and communications with owners on future trips. Many of us do read a prospective guest’s previous reviews as we decide whether to accept your reservation.

Thanks Patrick! And thank you for understanding about the oven. After a repair and another failure it has now been replaced with a new stove.
