Quiet, cozy cabin basement apartment in the woods. It’s the last residence on a paved lane in a gated community. Over five acres of woods and fields. Cleared trails. Natural foliage and wildflowers. Deer, turkeys, and other wildlife abundant. The apartment: 900 square feet. Private master bedroom with half bath. Full bath with shower and laundry room on main floor. Fully equipped kitchen with breakfast counter and dishwasher. Gas log fireplace with thermostatic control. Unit has enclosed patio that could be used as an office or extra bedroom. Inflatable mattress available on request. Two screened in porches provided comfortable, bug free sitting viewing the Palisades and the Kentucky River 100 feet below. Wildlife viewing. Wildflowers. Native song bird viewing.

Cozy and beautiful area

I came in for an evening with my dog for a family members wedding. Mike was very friendly and responsive at my time. It’s a very beautiful piece of property. Additionally the rental area has everything you would need. You can tell that the effort is put in to be as helpful and accommodating for the stay. I would come again and appreciate the hospitality!

It was ok but the owner lives in the property and has direct access to the apartment from the inside. After he shows us the basement apartment he left to his place from the interior stairs. He never came back but he dislikes that.

Nice property. Beautiful view! Porches are great. Being a basement apartment made it difficult to rest due to host up doing construction or something quite early ior late 4 a.m. however you look at the situation. Hot tub was on the upstairs deck which wasn’t very private even though there were curtains on either end. The house windows were still available to be seen by anyone who chanced to look. There were many nice conveniences such as bath robes, candles, toiletries , coffee, frozen food and, condiments and bidets Pretty much everything was good except the night noise and the very small bed.

Not for us

We left this property not long after arrival. It wasn’t listed that it’s a shared place. The owner lives upstairs and you stay in the lower level of the cabin. The owner is very nice but we weren’t expecting to share the property. There were no pots/pans to cook with, the bed was maybe a double for size. The water smelled like sulfur. There was a litter box in the bathroom and that as a first for a rental. The hot tub and grill were on his deck above the rental.So it wasn’t something we would normally rent. We let him keep the money but we left and did not stay.
