SPLASH TIME! Authentic Guest Ranch dating back to the 1940's on 10.5 acres! Full kitchen with Refrigerator, Gas Range/Oven, Microwave, Dishwasher, washer and dryer, dinnerware, cookware, coffee pot, crock pot and a toaster oven. Our refreshing, deep water pool is ideal for laps or splash and relax poolside amongst nature Mesquite and Eucalyptus Trees. The bedroom features a new, comfortable king bed, perfect for a restful night's sleep. With amenities like WiFi, HD TV, washer and dryer, guests can enjoy modern conveniences during their stay. The bathroom includes a relaxing tub/shower combination and two sink vanities for unwinding after a day of hiking and exploring. We are located along a quiet country road nestled at the base of the Santa Catalina and Rincon Mountain Ranges. We're conveniently located just 8 minutes or 2.3 miles to grocery stores, shops, restaurants, coffee shops, luxury seating movie theaters, fitness centers and National Parks. Horses and pets stay free! Your casita has its own private fenced in yard with a BBQ grill, fire pit, Pergola and Baker's Rack. Walk next door to the Tanque Verde Riding club offering a unique western lesson and trail riding experience. The World-Renowned Saguaro National Park is only 5 minutes away, perfect for an early hike and then a dip in the pool, sightseeing and then dinner under the stars with your own firepit.

This casita was absolutely perfect. The bed was very comfortable, and the kitchen was stocked with almost everything needed to cook a full meal (a Walmart is near by). There’s also a charcoal grill, with charcoal and starter fluid provided, which I put to good use cooking the perfect ribeye.It was quiet and peaceful, and I loved listening to the coyotes at night. The outdoor fire pit was a great touch and made the evenings especially relaxing. Sandy was wonderful and helped guide me to the casita over the phone, which I really appreciated.I will absolutely be back.

Wonderful experience, more than just accomidations. If anything came up or you had questions or concerns the host was very responsive and accommodating. Loved the quiet, the pool, and the fact it was VERY pet friendly. It is rustic with meaningful touches through out the property.The art work and lay out it gave the whole place a sense of calm. Exploring and adventure were "steps away". You are surounded by nature and wildlife. Great biking opportunities, also. Ideal in everyway.

Over all the cabin was grubby and needed updates. Washer didn’t work. Not enough towels and what was there were not very nice. We were and bought towels. It was disappointing!

I’m sorry you were disappointed. The day we spoke on the phone about the washer, the owners replaced it same day. You mentioned the casita is outdated however we are a real guest ranch dating back to the 1940’s so our mid-century modern decor goes with our ranch theme and the pictures on our advertisements show it. Perhaps take a closer look at the pics before you book your stay to make sure you like mid-century decor. Our house cleaner lives on-site and we could have addressed any concerns immediately and supplied extra towels other than the normal amount but you never mentioned it until the day before checkout so sorry you didn’t communicate your concerns.

We enjoyed the peaceful location. The host was incredibly responsive. Fenced yard was a bonus. Finding the ranch is a bit challenging because the address signs are peeling and hard to read.The exterior photo is a bit deceptive because the actual entrance is 1/8 mile to the west and drives past the tighly spaced casitas. Not as appealing as the photo suggests.The historic ranch dates to the 1930s and certain aspects of the property attest to that - moldy grout joints in the bathtub tile, worn out bathroom hand towels, lampshade in the bedroom which was very dirty, rickety chairs for dining table. Nonetheless, we enjoyed our visit and would stay there again.

Just Right!

Staying on the property made you feel like one of the locals, rather than a tourist. You are surrounded by the authentic feel of the Southwest. It is a quiet and secluded location that takes the worry away. So you can sit back and relax. Plus when you need to beat the summer heat the pool is ready and waiting.Weather it be the breeze blowing in the mesquite trees, walking the wash, or exploring near by nature areas-Mt. Lemmon, Saguaro National Park, or Colossal Cave (to name a few) the location makes easy access to a variety of activities. Many places "advertise" pet friendly and at El Mesquital lives up to it's word; even your pet will be feeling right at home. P. S. Sandy the host, was spot on.

Yes. The only thing missing and would’ve been nice if there was coffee . There is a coffee lot and liners but no coffee
