The place is full of character and was a joy to stay at. We ate on the upstairs deck and enjoyed the beautiful garden. My kiddo loved the house and so did we.Clearly a ton of care goes into it.

Just an amazing stay! It was perfect for our girls weekend. The atmosphere and decor were very welcoming and just so much fun to look around at all the details. You can absolutely feel the love that went into the restoration of the property.

What a charming, well-refurbished cabin. Darling interior decorations and all the main essentials we needed. The attention to restoration is appreciated from guests who adore historic preservation. The only suggestion would be to clear the cobwebs from the windows and corners as the cool concrete foundation draws those pests easily.

I'm so glad you enjoyed this space! As, unfortunately, many little creatures do! We will try to be more diligent about spider webs, but they can be incredibly industrious in a short time! Im happy it didnt ruin your stay.

We had such a great time at this property. The property is not only gorgeous, but it's close to nearby towns if you need anything. The pictures don't do this property justice at all.

Beautiful Cabin in the Country

Exceptionally lovely and historic log cabin! Everything was clean and comfortable. Quick and strong hot water and modern fixtures made for great showers and an amazing bath in the beautiful claw-foot tub. Lovely gardens surround the house. The country road in front of the house is quiet. Nan was responsive and helpful. We'll be back!

The Log house was absolutely charming and every nook and cranny seemed to hold a new "wow" in how well it was restored and the care taken in the design features. The owners include restoration info in the instructions book. I rented it to visit my two elderly parents who are at the nearby Masonic Homes. My family liked it so much, we spent most of the visit cooking and playing games in the log house rather than going out. Because it is a restored historical property, there are some uneven floors and steep stairs, but we were able to successfully navigate these for two folks in their mid-80s with assistance. Overall, it was a great experience and I would recommend it highly for a unique charming place to stay!

Lovely spot for a getaway!

Overall, the Log House was great! Unique and comfortable in a quiet farm town. Only a few (minor) issues like a light being out of its housing and the garden still needing plenty of work. If you have breathing issues/asthma, the refinished/reclaimed wood of a log cabin could cause issues but that has nothing to do with the cleanliness and safety of this property. We would love to return to see what work will be done on the garden!

Hi Preston. I'm glad you enjoyed this time. Had I known about asthma, I would have been glad to run the air purifier in advance for you. I also am looking forward to the garden renovations! I have engaged a native plant landscape business to begin work Monday, so you will see a difference next time you come!

Wonderful spot and responsive host. Bring blankets

The house was ideal; charming, clean, accessible and with great climate control. I wish there had been a barbecue to use on that amazing deck and some of our group wanted to have an extra blanket or two and there weren't any. However, we did call for a cutting board and Nan came quickly with one. She was very responsive and helpful.As a bonus, just about a mile up the road (1 min. drive, 20 min walk) is a farm with pick-your-own blueberries that was just the thing. Otherwise not too close and not too far from town. We'd definitely stay there again.

My reservation was cancelled, and I was not notified. I showed up alone late at night at this cabin outside of town to find out I had no place to stay. This is NOT acceptable.
