This vacation chalet with 4 bedrooms + sleeping gallery/ 2 bathrooms is perfect if you are visiting the Bernese Oberland with family/friends.
Shops/restaurants within walking distance.
Free parking for 2 cars. Bus stop is a 5 min. walk away. Direct bus to Thun train station. Non-smoking accommodation.

In the heart of Switzerland - hotspots like Grindelwald, Lauterbrunnen, Lucerne, Montreux, Lake Geneva are about an hour away. Located between Bern and Interlaken; you reach both places within 30 min.

We look forward to welcoming quiet guests who would like to spend a family vacation or a vacation with friends in a spacious and very comfortably furnished chalet with a large kitchen and lovely terrace with lots of privacy inside and around the house.

The chalet is in a quiet and sunny location with a magnificent view to Steffisburg/Thun Castle and the mountains.

This holiday home is perfect if you wish to stay in a sunny, Swiss village next to the picturesque town Thun with great walking and hiking trails right when you step out of the door. But if you also wish to stay near the town with all its amenities (shops, lovely cafés, Restaurants etc.). Shops and restaurants are in walking distance.

Very convenient place to stay if you travel by car (free parking at the Chalet for 2 cars) but also if you travel by train/bus. Short walk from the bus station and frequent busses to Thun (every 10 minutes) from early morning until past midnight. Taxi service available from Thun if you arrive with heavy luggage.

By car:
Grindelwald: 50 min. scenic drive along lake Thun
Mürren: 60 min. scenic drive along lake Thun / cableway 4 min.
Kandersteg: 40 min. / cableway up to Oeschinensee
Adelboden: 45 min.
Interlaken and Bern: 30 min.
Montreux, lake Geneva: 1 hr 20 min.
Zurich: 1 hr 40 min.
Lucerne: 1 hr 30 min. via lake Thun and Brienz over Brünigpass - very scenic
Zermatt/Matterhorn: daytrip possible by car or train

Guest access: The entire chalet is available to our guests.

On the first floor there is the entrance (at ground level), a bedroom with 2 single beds (120x190 cm and 90x190 cm), the bathroom with shower, the kitchen with dishwasher, Delizio coffee machine, convection oven and ceramic hob as well as a table for 4 people. Enjoy the spacious living room with dining area (table can be enlarged for up to 10 people), comfy sofa and seats and fireplace (for decoration only) and a large TV with 7-day-reply TV (swisscom).

Outside there is a large terrace and a conservatory with a dining area, a lounge and an outdoor fireplace (for decoration only).

On the upper floor there are 3 bedrooms (1 x box spring bed 180x200 cm, 1 x box spring bed 160x200 cm, 1 queen-size bed 160x200 cm), a gallery with sofa (can easily be unfolded to another 160 x 200 bed) and the bathroom with bathtub and skylight.

In the basement there is a private sauna with plunge pool, washing machine and tumble dryer, as well as a leisure room with pool table and dartboard.

Two cellar rooms are locked (owner's workroom and storage room).
The garages are not available, but there is parking space for 2 cars and a storage room (can be locked with the house key) for bicycles.
Other things to note
Cheminée/fireplace (inside and outside) not for use/decoration only.
Sauna is available all year round. The wooden benches must always be covered with the towels provided. Turn the sauna off after use and leave it clean.

If you stay at Chalet swissmountainview you will be staying off the crowds in an authentic Swiss village yet only a short drive to all the Highlights Switzerland has to offer, cities, mountains and lakes. It is your perfect base - weather you explore Switzerland by car (freeway access Thun Nord) or train (Thun train station).
