Second stay even better than the first!

Our second stay at this amazing property and possibly the best vacation we’ve ever had. So many dolphins and manatees! Great fishing right from the dock and perfect for early morning kayaking. Lionel, Suzanne and their team were gracious and responsive and Debbie’s Fresh Pick went above and beyond to ensure the 6 of us were fully stocked with groceries for the week. Rent the boat for sure. Can’t recommend enough!

My wife's 50th Bday Vacay

The property is gorgeous! I wanted an obstructed view of the beach and easy access. It doesn't get any better than this. The house is directly on the beach. There are very few homes on the island which means there are also very few people! Quiet, peaceful, paradise. The home has a great deal of space inside. It was very clean and ready for us to enjoy. It also had everything we needed to grill and cook. The ice machine located behind the bar was definitely a HUGE plus as we did use ice everyday. We used the beach chairs and kayaks everyday also. This was a wonderful vacation if you are looking for something relaxing and quiet. Rent the boat if you want to visit restaurants or bars on the other islands or Cabbage Key. The Green Flash Restaurant is the best! Rent the boat anyway to go see dolphins in the bay! A big shout out to the wonderful family who manages this property for decorating the house for my 50th birthday! I was surprised when I saw the big Happy 50th Birthday banner outside the door! What a great family to rent from. We cannot wait to come back!

BOOK THE TRIP!

The south end of North Captiva is near magical. We spent our days shelling, watching dolphins, fishing, swimming in the Gulf, and relaxing on the beach. The house was well stocked and provided plenty of room to spread out at night. Lionel, Suzanne, and their crew were wonderful to work with. They made the entire process easy and we’re readily available when needed. If you are looking to escape and relax, book the trip!!

Amazing Stay and Perfect Week to "Disconnect!"

From the time that Tyler picked us up at the dock at sunset to take us to the house to the time we left at sunrise a week later, the trip was nothing short of magical. The house had more than enough room for all 8 of us. If you're looking for the hustle bustle you are in the wrong place but it was so nice to just get away from work for a week and enjoy the sound of the ocean and our kids playing! Lots or beach toys, dolphins every morning and miles to run on the white sand! Looking to plan our vacation next year!!

Beautiful Location!

We loved the location of this property. It was very relaxed and secluded. We also really enjoyed the kayaks provided by the owners. There were well used and we say dolphins, manatees, turtles, stingrays, and so many birds on our kayak journey! We used Debbie for grocery delivery and it was awesome, too! Thank you!

We had a blast

We had a blast. If you are looking for something different, this is it. We saw dolphins everyday. Sunrises were great. Sunsets were out of this world. We played in the gulf everyday. We picked up shells walking the beach. Everyone kayaked. Floated on tubes in the gulf. Very relaxing stay. Some evenings we were the only ones the beach watching the sunset. This gave a very remote feel to the stay. The only thing we found the house lacking of was cereal bowls for breakfast, but that wasn't to big of an issue for us. Getting on and off the island went very smoothly. We are looking forward to coming back.

Nice property and location

Nice property and location. Had one nearby house with a family staying but other than that the beach was ours in the evenings. While we are on an island, there are a number of locals with boats that pull up on the oceanside and anchor to enjoy the beaches, on north captiva so perhaps not as isolated, as I had expected although this was mostly a Thursday thru Saturday issue. Lionel was very attentive to the few issues we did experience (dishwasher not working and some generator issues on the first day or two and an issue with the boat rental). Al in all an enjoyable and relaxing vacation.

Hands down one of our best vacations yet! Renting a boat is a must so you can island hop and fish. Have your groceries delivered it's worth the charge. We will definitely be back.

Paradise Island !!!!

We stayed a week at Lionel and Suzanne’s beach house on Captiva Island, and was one of the best most easy going relaxing fun vacations we’ve been on so far! The area is beautiful just unreal honestly it felt like we had the whole Island to ourselves. Lionel and Suzanne were great Host very nice and professional couple. Anything we needed or questions we had they were on top of it very quickly along with there crew Tyler and Tanner they were very helpful good friendly young men. We rented one of the boats from them for the whole stay Tyler and Tanner showed us all the ends and out of the boat and Bay. The boat has a GPS Nav system with all the good places to go saved and was very easy to use. We had a blast fishing, swimming, and boating around the Island. The beach house was awesome and beautiful and came fully stocked with just about everything you need other then food. House had most kitchen items you need, washer dryer, plenty of towels, great tasting filtered water, and all the beach chairs and toys for the water. Just like the pics and description of the house you got your own beach in the front and Bay in the back with your own private pier/boat dock. I brought my family out with me mix of kids and adults we all had a blast and they’re all asking me when we’re going back. We’ll definitely be back loved this place it was one of those vacations you never want to end! Awesome memories we’ll be back soon. Thanks Lionel and Suzanne!

Amazing Getaway

What a fantastic property. After considering several houses on the north end of the island I’m so thankful we went with this one. The home is beachy-unique with stunning views and a wonderful porch for big dinners. The beach is perfect for sunning, shelling, and long walks or runs. Wildlife everywhere you look and many hours were spent fishing off the dock. We were nervous about taking the boat out but quickly realized how easy it is to get around and so worth renting it! Lionel, Suzanne, Tanner, and Tyler were all great to deal with and made staying on the island simple and easy. I also recommend Debbie, with Fresh Pick grocery service, who ensured the house was fully stocked when we arrived. The six of us had a truly memorable vacation and I cannot wait to return.

Getting Away on North Captiva

Our group of four thoroughly enjoyed this property. We stayed at another home two doors down in February that was managed by Lionel and Suzanne. We enjoyed our experience on North Captiva so much we brought another couple here in May. Access to the island is by boat. The south end where we stayed only has about 10 homes. It is very private compared to everywhere else. The home is right on a long beautiful beach with wonderful shelling and gorgeous sunsets and very few people. Many times we had the beach totally to ourselves. The home is powered by solar panels and a generator. Everything worked perfectly including the air conditioning. There is a dock on the bay side of the home that is accessed by boardwalk through a mangrove forest. Sunrises are spectacular from the dock and extremely rewarding if you are an early riser. Lionel also has a boat available to rent that you are able to keep at the dock. The boat worked great and provides an opportunity to explore the area by water, check out sand bars, and enjoy lunch or dinner at some of the nearby restaurants. Lionel, Suzanne, Tanner, and Tyler did an incredible job arranging everything, transporting us back and forth to the marina, providing a boat, making sure the house was in order and taking care of our needs. They are wonderful people who went out of their way to make sure we had the most memorable time we could have on North Captiva. Communication was excellent and they were very responsive. They are fun people you would enjoy spending time with. We have every intention of coming back to this little island treasure and we would only stay at a property they manage because we know they care about making everything right and the best it can be.

Wonderful relaxing vacation!

We had a fabulous time on North Captiva Island and enjoyed the quiet time with our best friends! The location and beach front location could not have been better. Lionel ,Suzanne and their sons were great to work with, with quick and responsive to our needs. We used Debbie from Fresh picked to stock the house prior to our arrival and would highly recommend her and the service she offers...she was Fabulous! Our biggest concern especially for a beach house was the condition of the beach chairs and umbrellas. Being on an island, you really can’t bring your own with you, and there wasn’t a chair appropriate for the sand. Every lounge chair was broken, the beach tent rusty and in shambles, No umbrellas available, unacceptable for the price you are paying for a beach location. Funny thing, is this is so cheap and easy to fix. When we asked Lionel he did let use use the chairs from his beach house. With all this said, we have been traveling with this group of friends for years and always make the best of everything. We had a great vacation. We did rent the pontoon. A boat is necessary and gave us a way to get around. Hindsight, I would do some research and rent a much nicer boat from a rental agency, while the boat did get us from point A to B we have never rented a boat of this level. The porch location for dinners at night is fabulous, sunsets are great, off the grid, great sand, sun and fun!
