The Space:

Arnold’s Riverside Retreat is a comfortable riverside lodge tucked into the woods along the peaceful banks of the Manistee River. Ideal for anglers, paddlers, and nature lovers, this well-equipped home offers direct river access, beautiful wooded views, and year-round outdoor adventure. This stretch of the Manistee River is part of Michigan’s blue ribbon trout stream, celebrated for its world-class fly fishing and crystal-clear waters teeming with wild trout.



Inside, the open main living area features warm wood accents, large windows overlooking the river, and a central stone fireplace with real wood-burning charm. The main-level bedroom includes a queen bed, and the upper loft offers four twin beds—perfect for families or small groups. A full bathroom with a tub, plus a washer and dryer, add comfort and convenience for extended stays.



The screen porch is a guest favorite, perfect for sipping coffee, playing cards, or simply enjoying the sound of the river. Step outside to a quiet residential setting on a well-maintained road. The home is set close to the river and features an outdoor fire pit, grill, and smoker.



Located between Grayling and Gaylord, the retreat is also near a network of groomed snowmobile trails and local rental shops, making it a great base for winter sports as well.



Peaceful, private, and packed with amenities, Arnold’s Riverside Retreat offers a true Northern Michigan escape in every season.



Rental Policy:

- No smoking or fireworks are permitted

- No pets

- No events, parties, or large gatherings are permitted.

- Minimum booking age is 25.



To help you relax and enjoy your stay, we have partnered with Safely to provide all reservations with damage protection. The cost for Safely is $55 for 1-29 nights, $299 for 30-59 nights, $389 for 60-89 nights, and $479 for 90-119 nights. All reservations will initially be charged a $55 Safely Damage Insurance Fee. For stays longer than 29 nights, the additional charges will be processed after booking. All reservations are subject to the guest agreement terms, conditions, and fees.



Guest Access:

This property features self-check-in. Check-in is permitted between 4:00 pm -10:00 pm. Guest are responsible for having their check-in instruction before arrival. Check-in instructions are sent after completing our guest check-in form and agreeing to our terms of service. The home's property address will also be sent separately 72 hours prior to check-in.

Other Things to Note:

One shower towel, hand towel, and washcloth are supplied per guest (6 total). Guests are provided with a small amount of the basic essentials including 2 rolls of paper towels, 2 rolls of toilet paper in each bathroom, 2 laundry pods, 2 dish pods, a full dish soap dispenser, and full soap dispensers in each bathroom, and basic cleaning supplies. Guests are not to use the host's inventory of bulk supplies left at the property and should be prepared to supply their own as needed for longer stays. Beach towels are not provided.



CHECK OUT INSTRUCTIONS:

•November-April: Set the heat/thermostat to 55 degrees and close the blinds.

•May-October: Shut off everything and close the blinds.

•Strip beds (not mattress pads) and pile all sheets and towels on the floor near the washer. Start a load of towels in the washer. (If applicable.)

•If you used more than 2 shower towels, hand towels, or washcloths per person we ask that you wash, dry, and put the excess away before checking out. (If applicable.)

•Dispose of all food. No food or beverages are to be left inside the property.

•Put all trash in the garbage bin. Trash instructions are noted in your Guest Guide Link. Please take the trash to the road if your stay falls on or within 48 hours of trash day.

•Put outdoor cushions back. (If applicable.)

•All dishes must be washed, dried, and put away. Dirty dishes may result in a $100 additional guest cleaning fee.

•Turn off all lights.

•Lock windows and doors.
