** Una muy romántica, relajada villa de piedra de 2 dormitorios diseñada para maximizar las vistas espectaculares, mientras mimos tu cada capricho personal! El enorme salón / comedor con techos altos se complementa con enormes ventanas con muros que dan al siempre cambiante océano Pacífico. Con una terraza cubierta muy espaciosa con preciosas vistas al Océano Pacífico! Un gran lugar para ver espectaculares puestas de sol, avistamiento de ballenas, cenar al aire libre o simplemente relajarse! Fácil acceso a nuestras 2 hermosas piscinas tropicales.
El dormitorio principal muy espacioso con cama King-sized ofrece un encantador y romántico Romeo y Julieta balcón con espectaculares vistas Flamingo marina. Hay un baño grande al lado del dormitorio principal

La cocina totalmente equipada es una delicia gourmet. Cargas de espacio de mostrador y almacenamiento! El salón / comedor está al lado de la cocina y ofrece enormes espacios abiertos y salidas a la enorme terraza cubierta con vistas al océano Pacífico. Verdaderamente romántico y impresionante!
El segundo dormitorio está en el nivel inferior de esta Villa y se accede a través de una escalera de piedra sinuosa que conduce a la terraza cubierta - asegurando así la privacidad, pero la comodidad. El segundo dormitorio tiene una cama King-size o 2 camas individuales largas, ofrece un refrigerador de bar y cafetera y tiene un cuarto de baño. También hay una pequeña terraza adyacente a la entrada El lugar perfecto para la contemplación tranquila de los jardines tropicales circundantes y la naturaleza.

Can’t beat the views..and conveniently located..! Only wish owner would provide more sheets, and towels, per person staying, we were there five days and only got one towel per person, and had no way of doing laundry and a very thin sheet

Vacation Heaven

We have visited Villas Casa Loma two years in a row and have already booked our vacation for 2015. The resort itself is beautiful, serene and very relaxing. Tom & Igor are wonderful hosts and work hard to ensure you have everything you need. You can do as little or as much as you want while there, there are lots of options. You'll need a car for all of your excursions and touring as most are too far to walk. There is an excellent local grocery you can walk to (up and down the mountain) if you are in good shape, beach "Sodas" (restaurants), Flamingo beach (shopping & beach), a fruit market, fish monger & butcher (not like our own.... remember you are in Costa Rica!) all fairly close for daily shopping. Unfortunately the BBQ was not working, but I believe a new one had just been delivered. We cabbed out in the evenings and they are very accommodating and very friendly - some of the cars were not in the best shape, but we managed quite well. VCL staff are very friendly and keep the grounds, pools and property in excellent condition. Overall a wonderful vacation! We look forward to going back in 2015 for a little piece of vacation heaven!

It was great fun this year having you with us again ! You will be pleased, we hope, with the new additions to gardens and facilities currently being introduced... Among the additions/replacements are 2 BBQ units, so hopefully your next visit will be a bit more "grill-friendly"... The light rains have startedd a bit - mostly in the evenings so we can always count on lots of sunshine. . Of course the reain is wonderful for the gardens - and the animals, too. Sunsets are spectacular most evenings, too... .We are experiencing the return of many lovely birds - many of whom are nesting in our extensive gardens. Our resident turtles, parrots, cats and dog are all prospering. Spring is truly in the air here ! Currently we are doing a lot of new planting - fruit trees, plumerias of various colours, pineapples, mangos, papayas - even avocados. (We are hoping that they will all "take" and prosper.) Always lots to do - always a labour of love ! The ocean has been warm and inviting and we saw a couple of whales frolicking in the bay in front of our property again the other day... Of course, you have already discovered the incredible variety of beaches in the area ! ....We went for a 1/2 day sail up the coast last week and it was a truly rewarding experience ! As you have discovered, having a vehicle adds tremendously to the things that you can see and do in the area, although there are certainly enough local activities to keep active individuals more than busy here. In the event that you run out of ideas of things to do, there are a couple of fantastic tour operators to help you select excursions and - as always - we are always happy to suggest trips and tips. Recently we went with a couple of our friends/guests to an old sugar mill for a day''s outing... Very interesting and educational ! It is something we strongly recommend you do. Also there is a lovely day trip to a local coffe growing region near Nicoya which is historical, educational and really quite beautiful. All in all a unique and wonderful experience. A new bakery has opened just across the road from our property and this- along with the nearby supermarket, etc. - really makes life easier for us. No need to drive long distances to find a wide variety of interesting food, goods and services. Life just keeps getting better here in our little corner of Paradise ! We and our staff areall looking forward to seeing you again shortly. Have a great summer and huggy back ! PURA VIDA !! Tom and Igor

Two Family Vacation

Our two families visited Casa Loma this last winter and had a blast!!! The accommodations are great with plenty of room, good supplies in kitchens, clean and wonderful. The view is just incredible as you are up on a hill and can sit in the ocean breeze and watch the boats bobbing in the blue ocean bay. The grounds are kept immaculate and you can enjoy the colorful plants and flowers while luxuriating in the cool, refreshing pool. As hosts Tom and Igor can not be beat. They are there to check you in and from tree on can help you as much or as little as you desire. They gave us great tips on tasty restaurants and fun things to do! They recommended a zip line place that had short runs and newly installed long ones almost a mile long!!!! Fun! :) The fish tacos they recommended while drinking a cold Imperial right on the beach was memorable while we watched the sunset. There was also a new coffee shop at the bottom of the hill where we could get a latte and homemade pastry. When it was time to leave the nine of us were tearful as we had so much fun, made friends and really enjoyed the conversation and time spent with our hosts. Plans are already underway to go back later this year and experience Shangri La one more time!!!!

We were so fortunate to be able to accommodate both families all in private and close proximity to each other. Since your departure, we have been busily planting white, red and yellow plumeria trees at critical spots around the property. Some have already begun to flower and the perfume from these trees is almost overwhelming ! Not only beautiful, but a treat for the senses, too ! The slightly cooler weather has now begun with a little very light rain. This has encouraged more of the wildlife to come calling: Hummingbirds, coatimundis, gorgeous little red foxes - even deer - have been spotted around our compound. For seafaring types, whales, dolphins and the occasional turtle have been spotted - often from the terraces of our Villas ! Our own pair of turtles living in the back garden are mating again now that the weather is cooler with a bit of rain. Waves have increased a bit and the surfing is great. Nearby Playa Grande and Tamarindo Beaches, as well as Flamingo, Conchal and Las Catalinas all offer great surfing and water activities, including fishing and sailing, of course. Life is good here. We are looking forward to seeing you all again soon ! The fun has just begun here in our little corner of Paradise ! PURA VIDA !! Tom and Igor

PARADISE FOUND!

Wow! Thanks, Igor and Tom. We just had the family outing of a lifetime at Villas Casa Loma. From the moment we arrived and saw the gorgeous stone villa with massive mullioned windows, red tile roof and huge open spaces we knew that we had arrived in Paradise! Our villa consisted of a huge, sun-flooded living room opening off of a massive covered terrace overlooking the marina area and community of Flamingo. A large, fully equipped kitchen was separated by a spacious breakfast bar/dining area. Adjacent was an enormous bedroom with Romeo and Juliet balcony - also overlooking the Pacific Ocean! A large, tiled bathroom was adjacent to the living room and bedroom. A winding stone clad staircase led from the terrace down to another bedroom with separate bathroom on the lower level of this villa. This was absolutely perfect for my family consisting of 2 teen girls and myself and my husband. Aside from comfortable, spacious accommodations we were impressed by the quality of the design of the entire property. A large swimming pool set in oasis-like gardens was just a few short steps away. Tropical birds and howler monkeys were frequently in evidence. Whale spotting was a favorite activity during our stay. There is an excellent infrastructure in the immediate area, including: World class restaurants, medical services, hospitals, well supplied clinics and pharmacies, bilingual tour agencies offering sea and land activities, beaches with special qualities unique to each of them, zip line tours, sailing, fishing, horseback trail riding... Much to do for an active family! There is ample secure parking on the property and a rental vehicle is definitely a plus if you are wanting to get out and about in this fascinating land! Lovely villa with stunnng views

This Villa is wonderful, spacious inside with a large deck over looking beautiful Playa Flamingo. The furnishings, styled in Costa Rican fashion, were very comfortable and had all the features of home. The deck was large and perfect to enjoy the morning birds and stunning sunsets. The villa has access to 2 pools and the gradens are beautiful to walk through. I am looking forward to coming back again.

I hope I can spend every birthday at Casa Loma!

Our first trip to CR was amazing! And Casa Loma is definitely a place we will return to. Tom and Igor were so wonderful - even helping us celebrate my birthday with other guests and champagne! We chose Casa Loma because of the views and it was totally worth it - the best sunset view in all of CR was right on our balcony! Thanks for everything! See you next year (hopefully!)

After travelling extensively through many countries of the world, we came to Costa Rica for the first time 30 years ago and instantly fell in love with the nature, people, flora and fauna of this gentle country. More than 30 years ago (1989) we purchased a very large natural preserve nestled above the Pacific Ocean in the very sleepy, quiet community of Flamingo Beach in the Pacific North-Western province of Guanacaste. We never looked back - never regretted this decision. In fact, we started by building our first house. Then a guest house, followed by a pool. Before we knew it, we had designed and built a unique complex of beautiful Villas with a large pool - all built with the highest regard for their tropical surroundings and natural setting. From every window or terrace, one can appreciate the magic of Nature. It has been very rewarding personally for us to create this unique little corner of Paradise!
