Oleanna Villas - Villa Elena Beautiful Secluded Villa

Villa Elena is situated in the quiet Kefalonian village of Sarlata and offers you a peaceful, secluded retreat for your holiday in luxurious surroundings. Built as a family home Villa Elena is a home away from home and much more. The villa comprises of two double bedrooms and one twin bedroom with a large family bathroom upstairs. Downstairs there is a large sitting and dining room, the fully equipped kitchen with an island unit and breakfast stool seating and a smaller shower room. Outside there is an attractive brick built charcoal BBQ plus plenty of space for al- fresco dining and a big swimming pool that is lit up at night. Whether your looking for a lazy holiday around the pool or a more active holiday Kefalonia has a lot to offer and Villa Elena is situated in a central location not too far from the main town of Argostoli and a great starting point for different trips around the island.


As of April 2024 the greek government has introduced a new climate resilience tax which amounts to an extra charge of €15 per night from April - October and €4 per night from November -March. This is a separate payment which we collect on behalf of the government and can be paid directly during your stay at the villa..

Perfect spot for a family of 6, beautiful outdoor areas, linen change half way through the week, clean pool and a beautiful welcome basket. Better than the photos!

Such a wonderful villa

We’ve just returned from a fabulous week in Kefalonia. The villa was absolutely beautiful and had everything that we could have possibly needed. Clean, spacious, wonderfully decorated with a beautiful pool. The location is exactly what we were looking for, close to the airport and a central location to visit lots of different places. Some lovely restaurants close by too. We would definitely recommend and would love to return one day.

Beautiful and secluded

The most amazing Villa and outdoor space. It would be hard to find better. Wonderful hosts with great communication, happy to answer any questions before and during the stay. The pool and outdoor seating areas are the stuff of dreams. A little airport noise if anyone is wondering or concerned. Did not bother us at all. Car hire def needed but you could walk to some restaurants and shops within 15 mins. Thanks for an amazing stay. Hope to return one day.

Absolutely perfect stay!

Just returned home from one of the best family holidays we’ve had!! Eleanor & Yannis are excellent hosts and nothing was too much trouble…. Even dropped off some bbq charcoal for us! The Villa is spotless, with comfortable, air conditioned bedrooms, lovely sitting/dining area inside and the kitchen is well equipped with everything you need. Externally is just amazing, sun all day long with comfortable loungers, the pool was perfect, we spent most of our time in it when we stayed at home. The location is 15 minutes maximum from the airport and you’re not bothered by the sound of aircraft, so don’t let that put you off!! The roads take a bit of getting used to but you have to explore this incredible island. 10 out of 10 for this perfect holiday. I’m not one for leaving reviews usually, but this had to be mentioned. Will definitely return.

Excellent home and host

This beautiful house brilliantly combines the luxury of space with a feeling of homeliness. Multiple spaces to sit and socialise, particularly outdoors, really make this happen, and all are very nicely designed. Shade or sun, soft or hard seating, balcony, for a BBQ, or by the lovely pool, there are so many options. The whole property is thoughtfully created and equipped and makes it very easy to stay in. If you need anything or info that isn't on hand (and most is), then Eleanor was a friendly, clear, and super helpful host. It's proximity to the airport only proved to be a positive (particularly on arrival) and the noise from planes is minimal and only occasional, thanks to the size of the airport and a hillside shielding you from the noise and views of the airport. The house is well located for this nice area of the south of the island — close to the sandy beaches of Avithos, classic tavernas, and the excellent Sarris winery. One of the best homes and hosts we've experienced in a long time.

Perfect family chill out villa

Fab Villa and pool area. Very private. Beautifully laid out inside and out. Lots of places to sit and read. Tastefully decorated. Photos don’t do it justice. A lovely ambience to the place just to chill out in. Fantastic communication with owners who are lovely and attentive to any needs. Really nice touch with little welcoming food hamper and wine to get started. Perhaps the twin bedroom was a little warm at times with just the fan, and an en suite would take some pressure off the upstairs bathroom. But overall a great base to explore this area. Good beaches a short 6 min drive or 25 min walk. Nice tavernas at Avithos beach and surrounding area. Short drive to the capital which is lovely. Would easily come back. Whole family felt very relaxed after living here for one week. Definitely recommend.

Superb Villa

We were greeted by the owner Eleanor as promised who is lovely. Nothing is to much trouble. Villa Elena is beautiful inside, very homely, comfortable and spotless with every thing you need for a wonderful relaxing stay. The Welcome pack was fabulous. The pool and gardens are beautiful, secluded and very private. We have a fantastic week and would definitely like to return again and would highly recommend this fantastic Villa.

Exceptional Villa in a Prime Area to EXPLORE !

Eleanor's Villa is testimony to her choice "fusion" of UK taste & Greek influences. So many little touches provided such as dishwasher tablets, extra loo-roll etc etc. They all make the differences. The double glazing makes for a quiet sleep and the immediate local is very private yet their are many shops etc within a few miles. A car is essential to enjoy the island and fully explore. The charcoal BBQ was so handy given the butchers nearby. The pool and locale was very relaxing and exceptionally clean. The villa is very well established so it's not your usual spartan / sparsely furnished affair. It's a great base for exploring all parts of the island. Lassi is great for dinner nearby. The ferry to Lixouri is very slick yet laid back too. All too easy to get around. Kefalonia is like Corfu will less in "your face" tourism. It was great with mix with the locals and obtain the real Greek experience. We would love to visit the island and this villa again. There is a reason why this villa get's so many rave reviews. You don't really need to read them all. Just book it up because it goes quick in ! We squeezed in a ten day visit between other renters but could have easily stayed 3 weeks given the chance :-)

We had a fantastic week at the villa, Eleanor and Yannis were extremely helpful in helping us settle in and the villa was in immaculate condition. Their recommendations for restaurants and sights was just what we needed. We loved our stay and can’t wait to come back.

From start to finish are experience was excellent. Beautiful villa, pool area superb and weather great! Fantastic in every way

We booked Villa Elenor after reading reviews from previous visitors and it exceeded our expectations - it’s truly beautiful, spacious, well equipped and secluded. It was difficult to drag ourselves away to explore the island. Eleanor couldn’t have been more helpful and attentive and came to our rescue when our car hire and taxi plans fell through. We found the location peaceful enough to enjoy the church bells and wildlife yet centrally located to explore the vast island (proximity to the airport was not an issue). The gardens are well kept and we enjoyed the lemons and limes Eleanor had picked and left for us along with the extensive welcome pack with local produce to see us through the first few days. We couldn’t have asked for more - a fantastic experience. Thank you!

Beautiful,well kept,spacious villa just outside the tourist resort/town

The property is of a very high standard for a rental. Despite being close to the airport it is very quiet apart from the occasional dog barking. The supermarkets,bakeries,tavernas,beaches and bars are all a short drive away. Eleanor is a great host,very helpful and a good communicator. I will just mention the pool is unheated so a bit too cold for me at the beginning of the summer! Next time we will go in September..can't wait!

What a beautiful villa and a great stay!

We had an absolutely amazing stay in this outstanding villa. It felt like home away from home. The villa is so cosy and beautifully finished. Whatever your fancy on the day you can have breakfast on the balcony, by the pool or fantastic BBQ in the garden. There is so much space around and seating options that's nearly too hard to decide:) There is plenty of games to keep kids entertained and the inflatables for the pool which our girls just loved. Eleanor is a fantastic host that really thinks of everything and is so accommodating. The welcoming basket was such a treat and a wonderful start to our amazing stay at the villa. We would love to be back one day!

La Villa perfetta

Siamo stati ospiti di Villa Elena in due famiglie composta in totale da 4 adulti e due bambini di 10 e 11 anni. Non posso che confermare e anzi rimarcare quanto scritto da altri ospiti. La Villa si presenta dotata di ogni accessorio e molto curata in ogni particolare. La cura e attenzione di Eleanor si nota. La bellezza della Villa la si può notare dalle foto che comunque non rendono quanto dal vivo. Quello che è da sottolineare è la assoluta pulizia interna ed esterna con un servizio quotidiano per la piscina e ogni tre giorni per le parti interne compreso cambio asciugamani e lenzuola. La posizione della Villa è ottima. Vicina all'aeroporto ma senza fastidio dovuto al rumore di aerei che non si sentono e soprattutto posizione che ti consente di visitare l'isola con una certa facilità. E' difficile descrivere tutto in poche righe ma credo sia sufficiente e abbastanza esplicativo il titolo di questa recensione. Grazie Eleanor

Beautiful villa with lovely pool!

We had a super stay at the villa - beautifully decorated with everything you need. The outdoor space was fantastic with various seating areas, sun loungers and a brilliant pool. The pool was cleaned daily and the villa was cleaned half way through our one week stay with all towels and bed linen changed - the latter especially very impressive and not something we've experienced at other villa stays. We were presented with an excellent welcome pack of food and drinks too. The villa is only a 10 min drive from the beach and Argostoli - an ideal location. Eleanor, the villa owner, was very hospitable and welcoming - thank you for everything. We would highly recommend this villa for a holiday stay! Superb place!!

Eutopia in Kefallonia

I cannot say enough about our stay at Villa Elena! Eleanor's hospitality and extra touches made it extra-special for her guests ... the beautiful architecture and decor of the villa ... a wonderfully serene environment (a lovely pool with the sound of cicadas serenading us in the background) ... EVERY element made our stay beyond special! We will definitely be returning to Villa Elena whenever we visit Kefallonia.
