The blankets and sheets were musty. There were roaches seen in the bathroom and kitchen. The bedroom tv wasn’t set up working when we arrived. I mentioned the covers and sheets to the cabin rental place through text and they had someone just bring replacement sheets. We had to buy detergent to wash the pillow covers and throw blankets because the comforters smelled so bad. There was no dish soap. The cabin rental place didn’t offer to have someone fix the tv. I was expecting riverside but we could only hear the river. I expected a grill on the back porch like in the pictures but there was one unloveable grill in the front of the cabin.

To many things wrong

Jet tub would not hold water. Hot tub jets were not good. Could not see or get to river. Power was out for 7hours and we had no candles or any other type of emergency light. I would not recommend this cabin.

Beautiful

My husband and I just got married last Saturday and we stayed at River Sounds for our honeymoon this past week. We have nothing but good things to say about the cabin! It was easy to find, very clean, secluded, quiet, and it felt very homey. We had an amazing stay and I would recommend this cabin to anyone for any occasion!! Made our honeymoon dreams come true!

If you like sleeping on blocks this is your cabin!

We arrived super late. We rented for our honeymoon! Upon arriving it was a pleasant experience, other than no service and barely being able to access the entry code. Cute little cabin. Large spacious kitchen open floor living room! We were exhausted and went to lay down the bed was hard as blocks! We chalked it up to being tired and decided to wait to make a decision til morning! Woke up could barely move it was so hard and did not get any better! Went to brush our teeth and the water reaked of rotten eggs. Turned on the shower and thought it just needs to run for a minute.. 10 minutes later and the whole house smells of rotten eggs! Luckily we had bottled water and was able to brush our teeth with that! The tv wouldn’t work and when they finally came out to fix it it kept saying no signal. There is no wifi here so if you need anything you have to go down the mountain. Fast forward I contacted “aunt Bugs Cabins” several times and was told they would attempt to fix but couldn’t make any promises. The bed was just a sorry we can’t help that’s what the owner put it never offered to move us somewhere else or offer any accommodations. We left our stay early due to not being able to sleep without feeling like we had been in a fight! We slept on the couch a night or two and my husband is allergic to feather stuffing so that had his face swelled! It was unforgettable in a bad way! I cannot recommend this cabin! It would be so cute & quaint if not for horrible water a concrete bed!

Such a nice place!

My husband and I stayed here for a few days, for a quiet getaway. Everything was clean, and it’s not too hard to get to! The view isn’t the best, but when you sit outside on the back deck, you can hear the water running from the creek nearby. It’s beautiful and secluded just enough for a bit of privacy. We would recommend it to anyone!

Inaccurate information

First off, I could not believe there was no wi-fi in the cabin. There was Dish Satellite, but we lost the signal to it around 9pm, which left us nothing to do but go to bed. The creek that were in the pictures advertising the cabin had you thinking it was behind the cabin, but it was actually across the street and we couldn’t find access to it. We were not happy at all. We were on vacation, but for our family to not be able to reach us due to no Wi-Fi is ridiculous.

Our Stay at river Sounds

Very nice Cabin. Good location. Very well decorated. There are a couple of improvements that could be made to the property. 1. The water smells terrible. I know it’s on a well but probably needs a carbon filter. 2. The mattress on the bed needs to be upgraded. It is very uncomfortable.

Beautiful cabin

The cabin was easy to get to and very roomy. Needs a deep clean and gutters need cleaned out but over all was a beautiful cabin.

If you want a truly unplugged vacation this cabin is it. It was clean and had everything we needed. (Could have used more towels and bathroom updated). Had enough cell coverage to make plans for the day.

Pictures are exactly what the house looks like. It is on a very steep mountain side and cannot access creek from property or off main road.

Perfect little cabin for two.

The property was perfect for a couple wanting a quiet secluded get away. Almost too secluded as it was listed as having high speed internet, but there was none and the cell service in the area was very limited as well. This would all be fine if the intent is to get away and forget about everything, but if you are dependent on checking Facebook or searching for things to do on the internet it could be difficult for you.

Not the best

When arriving at property an hour after receiving text , cleaning crew still in cabin. They left if a hurry …..hot tub was empty and fuses out on ground. We called cabin rental place and they said to fill it with the hose. There was mold in the coffee pot with grounds that had been there a while . Water spelled like dead animals. No pans to cook on. Very disappointed in cabin

Quiet & Cozy

Wonderful place to get away from the everyday grind. The cabin was just the right for a couple. Small, quiet and cozy. It was also clean and had all the amenities such as an hitting and jucuzzy. Perfect for a couple getaway

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental.
