Stay comfortably in Trinidad at this 2 room apartment with private yard. The bedroom/ lofts feature a cozy king bed and a charming twin bed, small kitchen and fold out couch, work space and dinning area. Perfect for a small family or couple. Just a short walk from Moonstone beach with the convenience of WiFi, small creek in the back and ocean view from deck, loft and main room. The bathroom includes a relaxing soaking tub for unwinding after a day of exploring the beaches and redwoods. Open floor plan with stairs to home, and spiral staircase to loft and small room. Pets in the adjoining home sometimes so not good for very small children, or people with disables or extreme allergies. 15 minutes to Arcata, CA. 8 to airport.

All in all this property is super cute.Positives: The host did a very nice job decorating and the inside looked very clean. She was also great at communicating with me and making sure check in went smoothly. The location is very close to Trinidad as well. Negatives: The description for the bath tub is not exactly accurate. In my opinion it’s not functional. There is no shower, which was communicated to my husband and I. I was totally okay with a bathtub, however let me explain it this way. It is a deeeeep beautiful tub, with a water spout fit for a kitchen sink. To fill up the bathtub for only myself (1/4 full) it took close to an hour, and it wasn’t even half full. By the time I got in the water it had gotten cold in the process. This may be totally okay for some people - but this needs to be described. My husband and I went to Trinidad to hike, and proper hygiene was a necessity. We ended up leaving a night early to find a place with a shower. When I mentioned it she did say some guests could use the house shower but personally I’m not comfortable using someone else’s shower while they are home. She was very nice about it though and did give us a partial refund for the second night. I just wish I would have known so she could have booked with someone who didn’t mind the tub situation.

The views were amazing! The area quiet and safe. The property is in transition to be an amazing place. The bathroom only has a bathtub, a shower would be great. The owner was responsive and accommodating, especially with offering the shower in the main house. The outside seating was beautiful. We are excited to see this beautiful property improve with time!

Convenient Location - Not Quite Ready for Listing

Regina seems lovely and was responsive to booking. But there were a few things not quite rental ready:1) ant infestations in the unit, on floor, kitchen and bathroom and some on bed. 2) lots of dust outside and inside unit from construction 3) construction materials wood planks and hammer etc strewn all over front of property making it unsafe to walk around the property.4) no curtains on 90% of the space including over and around beds. 5) NO shower; NO coffee pot; and NO hairdryer. 6) Only 1 1/2 roll of toilet paper and 3 towels for two persons and two nights stay. 7) the rental space was unlocked/open to the other unit which looked occupied by someone else though no one was seen. 8) unit was generally unclean, dusty and covered with cob webs. 9) the property was also unclean and dusty on all levels and inside out and felt like very haphazard flip might be underway as we stayed. 10) upper loft was extra dusty with dust from attic work (which was visible) very hot during a relatively cool day. 11) stairs were wobbly and squeaky and felt insecure. It was too late to book a different stay so we crashed at nights minimally and pretended that it was like a dusty camp group. Once done and fixed up, it might be a very nice place. But it’s not really ready to be rented we think.
