This quintessential Maine home boasts 1 king bed and 3 full beds, perfect for a family getaway. Additionally, a pullout sofa bed in the office is available. Sleep up to 10 guests! Two parking spaces available.

Enjoy your morning coffee or tea on the front porch or second level deck, which offers stunning harbor views.

Seaglass House comes equipped with everything you need: sheets, towels, hair dryers, WiFi, a fully stocked kitchen with a dishwasher, a highchair, a pack & play, and laundry facilities.

There are sidewalks all the way to town, or if you prefer a ride, the free local trolley stops just across the street in the Brown's Wharf parking lot.

New in 2025:
**The Puffin's Nest: a separate guest cottage (Puffin's Nest) is also available on-property and may be booked with your stay for an additional fee. The Puffin's Nest may also be booked separately from Seaglass House for smaller travel parties. The Puffin's Nest cottage sleeps up to 2 people in one queen bed. Please inquire if interested in adding on the cottage to your stay at Seaglass House, which allows for up to 12 guests at the property. One additional parking space is included (for a total of 3 parking spaces) if adding on a rental of the Puffin's Nest cottage.

This is such a charming and comfortable home. It’s very conveniently located and has a peekaboo harbor view. The decor is curated, tasteful and full of Maine charm. Great for our girls get away. Stairs to the 3 upstairs bedrooms are quite steep but there is an alternative outdoor stairway for an easier time to carry luggage. We would definitely recommend this property.

We celebrated our 25th anniversary in Boothbay the first week of September 2025. We had 8 people staying at both the Seaglass as well as the cottage in the back yard (called the Puffins Nest). The remaining 15 people in our party stayed at Browns Wharf inn across the street. It was perfect! The host's description of the property was very accurate. I would add that (a) the kitchen is VERY well appointed with top of the line cookware, sharp knives and some of the more obscure accessories (cheese graters, blender, oyster shuckers, etc). There's a full 12 cup coffee maker as well as Keurig. I don't like Keurig, so I was happy to see a full coffee maker. The main house has the primary bedroom on the ground floor and 3 bedrooms upstairs. The upstairs office has a sleeper sofa. I was afraid that the sleeper sofa was going to be in a common area, but this room could close-off just like a bedroom if you need it. The main living space was huge with tons of seating. It was perfect as a gathering space for our full group. The only gotcha is that the wall to wall windows face south and it gets hot. They have air conditioning units and fans in most of the rooms, but frankly, the sun is just so strong in the afternoon, there is no way to cool off the living room. So we didn't even try. We simply moved onto the porch or the upstairs deck during the hottest part of the day where we could get the lovely harbor breeze. All in all, I highly recommend this lovely house!

We stayed in this property in 2023, under the previous owners and had a wonderful time. I didn't think it was possible, but it's even better than it was before. The owners put tremendous thought into the comfort of their guests. They've added air conditioning, provided toiletries and cleaning supplies (dish & laundry detergent, etc.) and even clothes hampers. The cookware is high quality and plentiful. The Puffins Nest (1 bedroom cottage) has beautiful new furniture. The location is prime - easy walking distance to the BBH footbridge. The owners are very responsive to questions and did everything they could to ensure a perfect vacation. There is an amazing view from the second floor deck, a wide variety of outdoor seating, and enough different spaces that our group of 8 didn't get annoyed at each other. We hope to come back again. It is a beautiful and special home.

The Seaglass House really is charming! Beautifully updated and comfortable. Everything you could want in a vacation spot. Our family enjoys cooking together, and we especially appreciated the very well appointed kitchen with room for all 8 of us! Check-in and out was super easy and our host was wonderful.

Quintessential is the right term

The house is so charming and feels so cozy. We loved our stay in Seaglass Cottage. The home was well cleaned and so convenient to downtown BBH. Host communicated well and everything about the pictures is well represented. The town is amazing with a local vibe. So many great places to eat (pizza at Pier 1 is amazing and the fries at McSeagulls are the best ever, the lobster Co-op is a total vibe with the best deals on lobster and oysters). Make a reservation at Ports of Italy for amazing Italian one night and ask for Georgi.

Loved this charming house!!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our weeks stay at this charming Maine cottage. It was perfect for our family of 2 sisters with 5 adult children and 2 grandchildren (2 1/2 and one month old).The town was within walking distance and there a few rerestaurants right across the street.

Excellent spot in BBH

Our family spent a wonderful week in BBH in the Seaglass House. It's classic Maine house full of character with almost every comfort available. We hade 4 adults and 5 children under 5 years old in the main house and Grandma and Grandpa tucked away in the back guest house. The location was great, whether walking to town or using the trolley, a short walk down the street. Preston communication was excellent. Whenever I asked him a question, he answered back quickly. Check-in and check-out was easy and fast. It was an unusually hot week, so be aware only a few rooms have AC, but we dealt with it and had the best time with family at Seaglass. We would come back!

The perfect Family Getaway

This cozy Maine cottage was the perfect spot for our extended family to stay during the holiday weekend. The house is spacious and perfectly located. The coastal decor is well done and my daughter and fiance loved the guest house. We would love to rent again next year!!

Everything You Could Want in a Home Away From Home

This home was the perfect vacation get away for our extended family. It was exactly as described, and by far, the best VRBO experience we ever had. The home itself it beautiful, and decorated impeccably. There is an incredibly well-equipped kitchen, a covered porch (perfect for the rainy day we had), a second floor deck with a view of the harbor, books and games galore and a large paved parking area (we had ample room for 4 cars). The icing on the cake is the one-bedroom cottage that gave my parents their own space when they wanted a break from the grandchildren. The walk to the footbridge into BBH is pleasant and easy, eliminating the need to find parking while sight seeing down town. Communication with the hosts was easy - we were kept informed of planned work on the property and given clear instructions on checking in. I simply can't say enough good things about this house. We will absolutely stay here again, on our next trip to the area.

Perfect Maine coast vacation

The house and cottage were both cozy and spacious. All in all a very comfortable place with everything we needed to enjoy our time together. There was enough space to have some alone time if anyone wanted to, while the entire home lends itself to being together in a real Maine coastal house. The outside of the house needs some attention, but the inside was well appointed, comfortable and spacious. All of the beds were very comfortable and the outside deck upstairs was large enough to accommodate our entire group for coffee or cocktails. We loved Sea Glass House and miss it already!

Perfect location for access to Boothbay Harbor

If you are looking for a house with easy access to all that Boothbay has to offer, this is the one. It is short walk over the footbridge to restaurants, shops and boat cruise options. The house itself is very charming, sweet and nicely furnished. We had a wonderful time!

Wonderful Memory Filled Vacation

Sea Glass Cottage

Our stay at this darling cottage was wonderful. We could not have asked for a better location nor better weather. We were a total of 7 and having 3.5 bathrooms was a blessing. We look forward to to coming back in the future.

Great Location

Perfect location to town. Lots of room for family of 9 . Cottage on property has air conditioning. Needs lots of renovating . Have stayed 3 times at the Sea Glass (2015,2019,2022). Dishwasher was broken -making meal clean up for 9 people an extra hassle . No air conditioning . Upstairs gets extremely hot.Windows have screens, but half the windows don’t open. Ice maker dispenser broke mid week.TV in cottage for older parents who were staying there didn’t work. Needs painted. Again, great location to harbor. Trolly for town picks up across the street at Browns.

We all enjoyed our stay! Comfortable, clean, nice sitting areas... Sidewalk to the footbridge into the village/shops made for a nice walk. One of us was handicapped with a scooter which easily navigated the sidewalk etc. Very satisfied with our stay!

Quintessential Maine coastal home

A beautiful, old Maine harbor home. Very tastefully decorated with all the amenities and comfortable, airy rooms. Well equipped kitchen. Had a little trouble with wifi at check-in and on first day, but seemed ok after that. Ample parking. Great location in Bootbay Harbor. Far enough from center to be quiet and but close enought that you can walk everywhere. Got a brisk half mile walk in for our ice cream in the evening so the calories didn't even count!

Nice relaxing summer week in Boothbay Harbor

We spent a week in the Sea Glass House in August. The cool decor is perfect for the coastal setting. The location was perfect for exploring Boothbay and the nearby area.

Beautiful view

The house is a short walk to the foot bridge and also the local part. It is a beautiful area and lots to do. The house had awesome water pressure and was very comfortable. The porch was awesome and fun to sit on and relax.

ThIs house is charming, nicely decorated, well maintained and in a great location. We enjoyed walking to town, it was a scenic, easy walk (even for grandma). It took about 15 to 20 mins. Plenty of space inside the house, multiple common areas. The sun room was where we spent a lot of time in the evening playing games or just hanging out. Our stay was during a particularly hot spell, there are plenty of fans around but a/c would have been welcomed (only in master right now). Truly enjoyed the blueberries, picked some everyday...yum. Oh and the cottage was perfect. Grandma was able to have her own space (bedroom, bathroom and kitchen area) and freedom. Finally, while it may not be a modern home, the owners have taken great care to offer a clean, beautiful home for a vacation.

Shabby chic - needs some basic maintenance

While this is a fairly spacious and walkable into town, this house was definitely overpriced and had some pretty basic maintenance issues. It could be a charming house - it is more than 100 years old and has history and artifacts from the Original owners’ time running it as a boarding house. It could be airy and charming as they did a nice job with overall decorations for the most part. At the same time, there Is too much stuff everywhere, too much furniture and kitschy Impractical stuff, everywhere that make an otherwise roomy house crowded and not functional. And the biggest issues were the poor maintenance on some basic things that have nothing to do with the the house being old, eg the toilet stopper was gone and the flush handle was a cord with a cork, three dining room chairs were broken or breaking, there were exposed nails on the wooden floors inside and out (someone even tried to put some tape to cover a couple up), lights didn’t work, mold exposed etc. We were determined to have a good time in the end, but when we informed the absentee owner as a courtesy, we got a lot of defensiveness and negativity. Would hope they spend some time and resources to manage the basics and lower the price on this house. There are plenty of other options and neighborhoods to choose from. This house has no real view because it is blocked by apartment buildings, though it is walkable to town. The extra cottage was nice. If we were ever to come back to Boothbay we would choose East Boothbay or Ocean Point instead for the price we paid. This rental was not worth the price paid..
