Great relaxing girls weekend

We loved having our coffee on the balcony and watching the water in the morning, and having wine by the fire at night. We had a great stay and would come back again!

Perfect location. Easy to follow instructions for arrival and departure.

Beautiful property in a wonderful location. Our only issue was the inability to work some of the lighting and some of the outlets didn't seem to work (probably user error). Would definitely come again.

Great get away with friends

The house is very comfortable , plenty of space both indoors and outdoors. The neighborhood is quiet. We enjoyed relaxing by the pool even though it’s small and enjoyed looking at the beautiful view.

The perfect week

My husband and I stayed at this picture perfect location for a week in August. The view in the pictures is what sold us, and it was even better in person. The house is adorable, the kitchen had every utensil, pot or appliance you could think of, there were plenty of towels and linens...I could go on and on. We loved our time and can't wait to come back.

Great Summer Getaway

This house was very nice in a great area. Was a lot larger in person than pictures. We were in town for a wedding and it easily slept 8. Beautiful backdrop into a private beach with a pool. The owner was very easy to communicate with for check in/out. Would recommend to anyone staying

Perfect home in every way!

We absolutely loved this home! The views were breathtaking, private beach, super clean house, fully equipped for all the meals we cooked, comfortable beds, this house was perfect! Our group was three adult couples and we spent most of our time in Orient at the house since it was so great. Highly recommend! 10/10!

North Fork Stay

Great waterfront location with very nice master suite overlooking LI Sound. Plenty of space for three couples with a kitchen well stocked with plenty of cookware and dishes/glasses. Nice quite neighborhood that is a little removed from wineries and shopping. For us the location more than offset the little extra time to get to the wineries.

Summer Vacation

We had a wonderful time at Gary's property in Orient with multi generational family and friends! The view, outdoor space and quiet neighborhood make this a 5+ star location along with Gary's responsiveness. We couldn't have asked for a more relaxing, stress free time!

Great weekend getaway with friends and young children!!

We had the best couple days in Orient. The house and location - both amazing! The photos online don’t do the views justice. The yard is great and the house spacious. Gary was quick to respond! Thank you for a great long weekend :)

Those views

The house was absolutely delightful. Clean and had many amenities just wish the pool could have been cleaner and couldn’t tell if the filters were running. Overall the kitchen was user friendly and the beds and pillows very comfortable. The views are a knockout. Would recommend. The neighborhood when we were there was very quiet.

Beautiful home in a gorgeous location

My family and I stayed in this house for 2 weeks in mid-September and it was a perfect getaway. The house is spacious and bright, and the backyard, pebble beach and water view are delightful! The area is also great for families and couples alike, with lots of wineries, farm stands, and restaurants in the nearby towns. It's close to Greeport and Orient Beach State Park, which had a calm beach and playground perfect for children. Gary was very responsive to my questions. I'd certainly love to return!

The Best View!!!!

Grab your wine and soak it in! Collect treasures on your private beach and enjoy the most beautiful view. Breathe in the fresh air and catch up on some reading OR turn up the tunes and have a killer tube sock dance party overlooking the sound. A MUST for a low key/fun weekend with your most favorite person!

What a serene experience!

We just finished our stay at this rental property today and it was such a wonderful experience for our entire group. We were a group of friends (7 adults and 2 babies) and all of us came away happy. The beauty and charm of this home seriously cannot be captured by pictures, you have to see it to understand. The rooms are wonderfully decorated, the kitchen is fully stocked, there is even a mini-fridge and small coffee nook area in the master bedroom which is perfect for taking your morning coffee out on the balcony without leaving your bedroom in the morning. The beach is gorgeous, lots of beautiful birds flying around and even a couple of rabbits that hopped through the backyard. The manager was so cooperative, easy to get in touch with, and accommodating with our requests... even though we bothered him several times through the weekend! This home definitely deserves a 5-star rating and I'd highly recommend it to anyone!

Orient

The location of this house is beautiful and Orient is charming. However, the maintenance of the property is not what we expected in this price range. The drain stoppers were missing in the downstairs bath and one of the upstairs sinks, light bulbs were out in the dining area, window blinds were broken or didn't work and towels were ratty to name a few specifics. The kitchen was difficult to use as there was no order to where pots, pans and lids were located and some basics like measuring spoons were missing. Some pots and utensils had been put away with food on them.

Incredible setting!

Another reviewer said it best: photographs cannot convey the surrounding beauty of this house. It was so wonderful to have a private beach just steps away from our back door; our young children spent many hours splashing in the shallow waves, collecting pebbles, climbing on giant boulders, and just having fun exploring. We watched the sun set every night that the weather allowed, and we weren’t disappointed once. The pool was also a huge perk; on the smallish side, but it was actually the perfect size for a family with small children. The neighborhood was very quiet, especially at night, which we appreciated. The house itself was fully equipped; we had enough beach towels, blankets, and sheets to go around. There was also a good supply of toilet paper, paper towels, detergent, and kitchen staples. The kitchen was a joy to cook in. Also noteworthy is how close the house is to Orient State Park. We enjoyed running there and also took the kids to the beach and playground. The nearest winery is about 10 minutes away, Greenport is a bit further, but we rarely hit traffic during the weekdays going west; it was pleasant driving. Finally, the owner responded to our minor issues and questions promptly. We would certainly consider staying here when we venture out east again.

A perfect vacation in a beautiful home!

I spent two weeks at the house with my husband and three kids (infant, 3, 5). We've rented a few times on the North Fork and this was our best experience to date. The location is just amazing-- we woke up every morning to a beautiful sunrise, the sound of the waves, and ended each night with a spectacular sunset. We spent hours watching boats on the Sound and spectacular stars at night. The kitchen and living room are open and airy, and the decor feels warm without being stuffy or cluttered. (Key with little kids-- I didn't spend my vacation yelling 'don't touch!'). The photographs on the listing are accurate, and even sell it short. Things were clean and the house is very well stocked-- there was nothing I looked for and missed. We loved the pool and I was happy that it was very well fenced in (the interior doors to the pool require two adult hands to open). There was plenty of wood for the outdoor fire pit. We spent time at Orient State Park and got a Southold beach pass by brining our lease to town hall, which opened up lots of other beaches (and a few sandy bay beaches). The drive to Greenport was about 20 min, so some planning was required, but we did well with the Fork and Anchor in East Marion and General Store in Orient (great sandwiches at both!) Gary was responsive throughout and very easy to communicated with. We were very sad to leave this beautiful spot and return to the real world!

Fabulous location!

We just returned from our trip in Orient and it was fantastic. Check in was simple. The house was perfect when we arrived. It was spotless. The view from almost every room was incredible. The master suite was huge with a great deck outside. The pool was just right for floating the day away! The steps down to the beach are steep and long but it's well worth the walk. The rocky beach was awesome. It was so quiet and peaceful. The rocks were beautiful. Even spotted some elusive sea glass! Caught some fish right there too. Everything in the house was provided for- dish liquid, paper towels, hand soap, tissues. No details overlooked. Would definitely love to return!

Amazing family vacation

We had an incredible family vacation at Gary's Orient Property and are already planning a return next year! This home is truly special, situated in a wonderful, secluded waterfront spot, that feels like one of a kind on this earth! We stayed with a 3 year old, 1 year old and 3 adults in their 30s and 3 adults in their 60s. Everyone had a wonderful time and the property was perfect for young children. We didn't have to waste time packing for a day at the pool or beach, because both were in the backyard. We found that we used the grill almost everyday, because we wanted to enjoy the views and the property as much as possible. We just got home and already miss all the fun we had and memories we made! The town of Greenport is adorable and provides a wide selection of restaurants and shopping. Our kids had fun at the carousel and we frequented the local farm stands for fresh fruits and veggies daily. We also enjoyed Orient State Beach and took our 3 year old to play on the playground there. It's worth a trip! There's tons to do on the North Fork, between the food, shopping, wineries, boating, biking etc but we found we had the most fun at the house enjoying the views, swimming in the pool and collecting rocks on the beach. If I had to provide any constructive criticisms, I would say that the towels and linens could use some upgrading, but nothing that would prevent my family from returning to this gem in the future! Thank you Gary! We loved every minute!
