Experience the charm and luxury of this expansive 200-acre private estate nestled in the heart of the Poconos. Centered around a recently renovated 20,000 sq ft historic mansion originally built in 1811, Chelsea Sun Inn offers the perfect setting for group getaways, family retreats, and special occasions. With scenic farmland, outdoor amenities, and comfortable indoor spaces, this one-of-a-kind estate brings together history, tranquility, and modern convenience.

The East Wing of the mansion features 8 guest bedrooms, 6 full bathrooms, 3 half bathrooms in common areas, and sleeps up to 18 guests. Larger groups may also reserve the West Wing for an additional fee, which includes 5 additional bedrooms, bathrooms, and a spacious living area—expanding capacity to accommodate up to 34 guests.

Inside, you'll find several large gathering rooms, a dining area, and a chef’s kitchen equipped with commercial-size refrigeration, ovens, stovetop burners, microwave, and dishwashers. Please note: guests must bring their own cookware, tableware, and utensils.

Outdoors, enjoy a 20x40 illuminated in-ground pool, 20-person heated spa, stone fireplace (firewood not provided), and sound system compatibility for your own Bluetooth device. A 10-minute scenic walking trail winds through the picturesque property.

Located just a short drive from top Poconos attractions including Kalahari Indoor Waterpark, Camelback Ski Area, Camelbeach Waterpark, Mount Airy Casino, Delaware Water Gap National Recreation Area, and The Crossings Premium Outlets, you’ll have easy access to year-round fun and adventure.

Additional amenities include high-speed WiFi, Roku TVs in all bedrooms, bed linens and bath towels (please bring pool towels), and private well water. Whether you’re relaxing poolside or gathering around the fire, Chelsea Sun Inn offers a private, elevated experience you won’t find anywhere else.

One of the most beautiful places I've been able to find on VRBO. It's only a one-hour drive from NYC which was wonderful since the majority of my friends live in the city. Already planning another stay here.

Had a wonderful time at this venue! We booked a 3 night rental of this property. Plenty of parking for my extensive group, staff was kind, welcoming, and very accommodating. A Disney-Wonderland feel having this entire place to ourselves!

Moms 90th birthday party

Family Reunion

Shabbaton in The Poconos

Recently stayed at this large quaint/modernized Mansion. They were more than helpful fulfilling all of our Shabbat needs. We were able to fully kosher the kitchen, they were very accommodating to our group and making our stay there wonderful. This is added to my list of go-to spots.

Ski Trip!

Had a great time at this estate! Rented it out for 3 days for a ski trip. Only 25 minutes from Blue Mountain and Camelback. Nothing more relaxing than returning from the mountains and enjoying the outdoor hot tub. The snowfall while we were in the hot tub made this experience magical!

Family Simcha In The Poconos!

Booked a stay here with a group consisting of my family and close friends, to put it short and sweet we had the absolute time of our lives! This is my new gem and i plan to return for future Shabbaton's and Parties, this will be my go-to spot. Only an hour away from NYC my group had no problem commuting. We arrived and had an entire mansion to ourselves, it felt surreal. Love this place!

Unique Property Great for Large Groups

The property was amazing! We had a group of close to 30 and it fit everyone comfortably with room to spare. We loved the hot tub and all the interesting decor. We felt like we were on a movie set. It was raining the weekend we were there, but luckily since the house is 20k sq ft there was more than enough space for us to socialize inside. We very well may hold another friend reunion here in the future!

Lovely Mansion

I've been looking for a larger property in close proximity to Scranton, this property came up and I now see why the reviews are so stellar. Once you book with them they get you in touch with a coordinator who answers all questions leading up to the event. Seamless and headache free, they made me very comfortable and i will definitely be returning to Chelsea Sun Inn.

60th surprise birthday party

The biggest disappointment was the lack of hot water. Our guests could not shower. Also, the hot tub did not function after our first night. It would be nice if all bedrooms were equally well appointed. It was uncomfortable giving some guests beautiful rooms and beds and others given what I would call substandard accommodations. There were a fair number of items in disrepair throughout the house. A little TLC is needed. The house had trouble keeping up with the cold weather. None of the fireplaces seemed to be in working order. I think a discount/partial refund would be appropriate.

La Fiesta en Los Poconos

Celebramos la quinceañera de mis hijas. El lugar fue increíble. Toda mi familia tenía un lugar para quedarse y era como si alquiláramos nuestra propia ciudad. Organizamos juegos en el campo de césped y tuvimos cenas más grandes adentro. ¡Amo este lugar!
