Waycross HouseCheck-in was fine but there are a lot of things we had to go buy to make the house livable for the week. We bought pots and pans because the pots here are really old and distorted. One of the rooms has no closet, one room with a closet has no rod, and the one room with a rod, the wooden rod is not strong enough to handle all of our clothes. We were here for a church convention so we had lots of clothes for day services and night services. We also had to buy a full ironing board because the table ironing board is too small to iron our clothes. Thursday, just sitting on the bed, it started falling apart underneath. I’ve attached pictures.The hot water in the kitchen only worked for a few minutes on the first day. The remaining time we had to boil water to make dish water for cleaning the kitchen. The hot water in the shower, in the rear bathroom worked for a few days then it no longer produced hot water. The faucet in the rear bathroom never produced hot water.We have rented other homes in other locations and have never had the experience we had here. Many aspects of this stay have been an unexpected challenge. Extra money had to be spent due to many insufficiencies.I’m really disappointed. If we would have had an opportunity to stay somewhere else, we would have asked for our money back but there are not many options in Waycross. We made it work but these issues really need to be improved for future rentals.
