The house is perfect for large family gatherings. Lots of beds and a big kitchen and dining area. The large 3 stall garage is a bonus. This is our second time staying here and it's been awesome both times. The communication has been great.

The hosts were great! Very flexible with checking in early and friendly. The house was great and accommodated well with the size of our group. We wish the home had more appliances for cooking- blender, larger coffee maker, ice in the freezer.

Check-in was super smooth, the house was clean and everything was great! Very nice house on a quiet corner of the golf course right on the lake. Kitchen facilities, towels and all other amenities were great and much appreciated! Thank you for a wonderful weekend!

Thank you Alissa and Nick for a wonderful weekend! Your home was so welcoming, looked just like the pictures, beautiful home and grounds with so many amenities and extra touches. This was our yearly family “Girls weekend”, there were 8 of us ( 4 generations) and we were all comfortable, plenty of seating room and beds were very comfortable and with girls, we had plenty of bathrooms also. Alissa and Nick were very helpful when we had questions, answered right away. We all would highly recommend staying at this property.

The house was large and had lots of room 15 of us. It was very clean and updated. Alissa was very quick to answer and questions . The water was very weedy and dirty but that was accurate with what we were told and that's why the four stars instead of 5. The beach was only a few minutes away. But don't go there expecting a big sandy beach. We did get our little 16ft boat into Grill Lake from the Mill Lake access. I would recommend this place just not for people looking to spend the whole day on the beach. It is the perfect place for a big family get-together.

Great Hosts and Property

From the first message sent to the last message received, Alissa and Nick did a fantastic job. Everything was very detailed, it was an extremely clean property, and multiple extra touches (games, welcome basket with treats for all, special card, along with others) made this property one that all should consider when staying in the Alexandria area. Alissa answered messages so quickly, which was very appreciated as we looked for a property for our adult sons to stay at while attending a family event. There is plenty of space for a family or two to share this property. The bunk room is a great spot if kids want their own spot to hang out, as is the lower level area. Games in the garage, a fire pit, and other amenities in the water add to the appeal. Thank you for everything!!

My husband and I stayed here to celebrate our 7th wedding anniversary, just the two of us, away from our three little ones — and it was absolutely perfect. From the moment we arrived, Nick and Alissa made us feel so welcomed and cared for. They are truly the kind of hosts who go above and beyond to make your stay special, and you can tell they’ve poured their hearts into this cabin.The home is tucked back off the main road, surrounded by trees, and feels peaceful and private even though it borders the golf course. It was spotless, beautifully maintained, and stocked with every little thing we could have needed. We spent our mornings wrapped in a blanket on the dock with mimosas, watching the calm, quiet lake — not a bug in sight and the view was perfect. Evenings by the firepit and quiet time in the hammocks made it feel like our own little world.There’s a small beach for kids, fishing poles provided (the fish were biting!), and a cute nearby bait shop called Blades. We also golfed at Hardwood Hills — such a fun and friendly course.Nick and Alissa thought of everything, and it truly shows. Their kindness and attention to detail made this one of the most peaceful and romantic trips we’ve ever had. We left with full hearts, feeling so grateful — and we can’t wait to come back again, maybe next time with our kids.
