Creekside Yurt Camp
Your summer camping adventure awaits in Shelby by the creek. The yurt retreat features 1 bedroom with two cozy twin beds and a swing overlooking our creek that flows into the First Broad River. Surrounded by nature, this is the perfect spot for guests looking to unwind and reconnect with the great outdoors.
In addition to your private campsite we have many fun activities for guests like panning for gold, cornhole, an easel for painting, dominos, treasure hunts, basket weaving, hiking and building sand castles in the beach by the creek. All amenities are available at no charge.
There is a camp shower, bathroom and sink with running water available in the MidGarden right next to the parking area. Toilet paper and hand sanitizer is provided.

Your campsite is located down a hill and a short walk from the parking and bathroom area. Trail can be muddy and slippery as it passes over two small streams.
At your private campsite there is a grill with dining table(seating for 4 people) and a balcony with a swing that overlooks the creek. Solar lights are installed so that you can enjoy your camp after dark. There are numerous plants around your campsite that you are welcome to harvest from and care for. Tomato’s, peppers, basil, runner beans, flowers etc.
There is a staircase leading down to the creek beside your balcony. Across the creek there is a table, chairs and fire pit.
Wear shoes that can get dirty and protect your feet. Bring a flashlight or headlamp, bug spray and sunscreen.
We pride ourselves on being great hosts and we make every effort to sanitize and clean your campsite before your arrival and after you leave. We provide trash bags for you and we have trash pickup daily. There are also trash cans on the campgrounds as well. Inside your tent are paper towels and cleaning spray.
In addition to your waterfront creek access there is a main creek access available to all campers. There is also a frog pond.
Several of our guests are able to get cell service but there is no WiFi at this time.
We have two USB fans for you to use inside the tent. Please bring a battery bank to power these and to charge your phone.
