Casa De Las Tortugas (Casa de las Tortugas) se encuentra en la hermosa playa de lujo de Playa Langosta. Tan cerca que el oleaje se escucha en casi todas las habitaciones de la casa.
Diseñado por el aclamado arquitecto Abraham Valenzuela, ejecutado por el conocido Karl Gronemeyer y construido de la mano de costarricenses con columnas de madera importadas, puertas adornadas y artefactos que fueron importados directamente de Indonesia ... Estas dos culturas mezcladas crean una serena escapada frente al mar. Más visto y ejecutado nuevamente por Karl, en 2015 Casa De Las Tortugas fue sometida a una restauración cuidadosa que ha mejorado su carácter discreto y simple, pero elegante.
Esta impresionante propiedad frente a la playa de 7500 pies cuadrados es realmente única, lo que la convierte en el lugar perfecto para una ceremonia de boda privada frente al mar, para varias familias que viajan juntas o para unas vacaciones en familia. No se arrojan monedas sobre quién obtiene el maestro ... De las 6 habitaciones, tenemos 5 habitaciones principales frente al mar. Todos los maestros están amueblados con camas king, lanais privados y vistas impresionantes. La sexta habitación está en la parte delantera de la casa y tiene su propio baño ... Perfecto para una niñera o adolescentes. Todas las habitaciones de la casa están abiertas y ventiladas, con una gran cantidad de ventanas en la sala de estar y la cocina. A medida que atraviesas la casa instantáneamente te sentirás relajado con chorros de agua de las piscinas de la fuente.

The place was the best part of the trip! Pictures and videos are as described. The staff and the communication from the rental group was very fast as well. Only downside was being without water on a few occasions but this was during dry season.

Casa de las Tortugas was an absolute dream come true. Wonderful communication from the second. I saw the property on VRBO to the moment. We left our wonderful trip. The cleanliness was top-notch. The location is absolutely perfect. Plenty of room for all 12 adults to enjoy their vacation. The caretakers on the property were absolute wonderful people. We will definitely be back.

This was truly a rare find—an exceptional luxury beachfront villa where every detail has been thoughtfully considered. The property is beautifully maintained, spotless, and feels both private and inviting. The staff went above and beyond and were genuinely warm, attentive, and accommodating throughout our stay. The pool area is stunning, and having direct access to the beach made it even more special. Whether relaxing by the water or enjoying the peaceful surroundings, everything exceeded expectations. This home and property are absolutely lovely. The host, Chris, provided us with a great guide for the home and things to do in the area which was greatly appreciated. The staff took great care of the home while there, and were very friendly and approachable. The layout of the property allows for both congregation and separation for larger groups, which we all really appreciated. The location is perfect too, as it's close enough to downtown to take a golf cart to just about everything you'd imagine, while also be separated in a quiter community. We were very happy with our stay and would gladly refer anyone we know to stay here.

The property is absolutely beautiful and the staff is incredible!! The housekeeper, the groundskeeper, the security guard and the host are some of the most gracious, kind and considerate people that I have ever met! We loved our time in Tamarindo and this beautiful home! And the howler monkeys across the street were a fun bonus!!

Amazing and exceeded expectations!

There were a total of 12 - (4 couples with each of their teenage son’s) and it was simply amazing! Villa was gorgeous, location was perfect & staff were so helpful. This was our boys Senior spring break trip and we had a wonderful time. The close proximity to town made it great to take a golf cart and provided boys freedom to explore. Having the beach there on property was perfect for our entire group to relax between scheduled outings. We all wanted to stay and not leave! It was a perfect vacation!

Fantastic

The house is great and as advertised. Maria and Susanne were fantastic to work with, very responsive, and happy to give us plenty of activity ideas. It is on the beach even if you can’t tell from the pictures. The location is great also. Maybe a 5 min drive from downtown Tamarindo, it’s quiet - but close to everything.

Amazing Property and Staff

The property and staff exceeded our expectations. The home was beautiful and had everything we needed for our family vacation. This is a boutique hotel experience with a home feeling. Anything we needed, Susanna was quick to respond and help us. Clean, organized and luxury Costa Rica living! A short walk to restaurants, beach, or bars. This house is perfect and our family already wants to plan our next vacation.

We rented this property with a group of friends for our wedding. Location was perfect- quiet neighborhood right on the beach and minutes from town. House and grounds were stunning. House staff were helpful and friendly. Owner was not especially friendly to deal with. Perfect place to hold an event and stay with a group.

Sarah, thank you for the positive review. We take great pride in the fact that our home is a unique floor plan that no one can offer. I'm sorry that we do not have a blue print to share of the floor plan. However, I will take the time by phone or email as I did with you to go through each room to describe the unique features and where the location of each room is so you can choose your room accommodations well before arrival. We are delighted to be able to open our home to wedding parties and I believe that we offer a setting that no one else can compare to, I'm glad you agree. I'm sorry if you thought our venue fee covers the wedding and any other event for your guests during the week. I will do better at informing guests that the venue fee only covers the reception and any other events at the house will be extra. Wonderful Stay

Just got home from great stay at Casa de Las Torgugas. What a beautiful house and property! Maria was so helpful as the concierge. Bertha and Jose were also great! The nightly guard was much appreciated although we felt very safe. The property was well-maintained, and the house was spotless. Lots of excellent restaurants with just a short golf cart ride. No car needed.

Exceeded my expectations. Pictures sometimes are deceiving. But this property is epic.it exceeded my expectations. Every three years I take my family (kids and grandkids) This year I picked Costa Rica and everyone had a very enjoyable time. The on site staff were wonderful and accommodations were fantastic. Yes, Casa de Tortugas is worth 3 exclamation points!!! Our group was 2 families and the home layout was great. Suzanne, the concierge, was exceptionally helpful and went out of her way to make sure that all of our needs (excursions, activities, etc.) were met (exceeded really). Friends trip

Amazing house! Everything was as they had posted in description. Great location. Highly recommend renting the golf carts…easy to get around with them. Says walking distance to restaurants/bars and shops which would be doable…..but with the heat and the amount we went down there was so happy we decided to rent them. Lots of space for 10 adults. The only somewhat complaint would be the coffee pot.. as it took 1/2 hr to brew a pot of coffee. But that being said it got us out and about and we found some pretty neat little coffee shops. Amazing place… would stay here again in a heart beat!

Family Vacation

Overall, we had a great experience at this home and in Costa Rica. The house managers were very helpful in helping to arrange activities in advance of arriving and were always available for questions once we arrived. The only thing that we did not realize until we got there was that two of the rooms were not attached to the house and this made the sleeping arrangements more difficult to figure out since we had young kids that were all sharing a room.

Thank you Amanda for taking the time to review and clarifying about our room set up. The Casita room is either perfect for our guests with children or it is not. It is in our gates, attached to the garage and steps to the main house. Most of our guests that have children put them there unless they are younger and need to be closer to their parents. I hope you found a solution that worked for your stay. Maybe the blow up bed was used that we keep handy for younger children needing to be closer to their parents. We enjoyed having you as our guests! We hope to have you back in the near future.

Absolutely Perfect!!

Our family (6 adults and 3 young children) just returned from a stay at Casa de las Tortugas. The stay at this breathtaking property absolutely exceeded all of our expectations. Communication prior to check-in with Diana was seamless and she had everything perfectly prepared for our arrival. The staff at the house (Dixiana and Audi) went above and beyond to make sure we were well cared for. We had dinner prepared in house by the incredible Chef Sol and this is a CANT MISS during your stay - incredible food and company from being to end. We cannot recommend a stay here enough, we would go back with absolutely no hesitation. Incredible!

Born and raised in Columbia Missouri, my husband Dan and I still call our hometown home where we met at just 18 years old in 1985. We raised our two children in Columbia and they are now grown and living independently.
Over the years, we have been fortunate to own vacation properties in several beautiful destinations, including Costa Rica, Florida, and Crested Butte, Colorado.

In 2003- After hearing so many wonderful things about Costa Rica, Dan and I decided to travel to Central America to experience it for ourselves. We quickly fell in love with the breathtaking landscape, the relaxed lifestyle and the warmth and generosity of the local people.
Our first home was a beachfront two-bedroom on Playa Langosta. After nearly a decade of ownership, our love for both the country and the area had only grown stronger, which let us to purchase Casa de Las Tortugas in 2013. The moment we walked through the door we knew it was the one. It truly was love at first sight.
I had never understood the importance of feng-Shui until I entered Casa de las Tortugas.
(feng means "wind" and shui means "water." In Chinese culture, wind and water are associated with good health, thus good feng shui came to mean good fortune)

Since that day, Casa de Las Tortugas has been a place of peace, joy and connection for our family and friends. We hope everyone who stays here feels the same calm, comfort and positive energy that made us fall in love with it and that it becomes a place where beautiful memories are made for you as well.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

Casa de las Tortugas has a simple elegance that you instantly see when you drive through the front gates. The house has a large living area that opens up on to a large Lanai that allows you to hear the soothing rhythmic sounds of the ocean. The living area was designed to be open air if desired. Between the Ocean sounds and the gentle breezes, Tortugas will calm your worries away.
We loved the fact that the house had two story wings on each side of the house that jetted off towards the ocean. Each wing had bedrooms overlooking the ocean which makes you feel as if it's your private villa off of the main house. Touring up and down the coast we understand how hard it is to find 6 suites where 5 of them are Full Oceanfront Masters.
Playa (beach) Langosta is literally our backyard and most all of the time it's as if no one knows about it but you.
