Casa De Las Tortugas (Casa de las Tortugas) se encuentra en la hermosa playa de lujo de Playa Langosta. Tan cerca que el oleaje se escucha en casi todas las habitaciones de la casa.
Diseñado por el aclamado arquitecto Abraham Valenzuela, ejecutado por el conocido Karl Gronemeyer y construido de la mano de costarricenses con columnas de madera importadas, puertas adornadas y artefactos que fueron importados directamente de Indonesia ... Estas dos culturas mezcladas crean una serena escapada frente al mar. Más visto y ejecutado nuevamente por Karl, en 2015 Casa De Las Tortugas fue sometida a una restauración cuidadosa que ha mejorado su carácter discreto y simple, pero elegante.
Esta impresionante propiedad frente a la playa de 7500 pies cuadrados es realmente única, lo que la convierte en el lugar perfecto para una ceremonia de boda privada frente al mar, para varias familias que viajan juntas o para unas vacaciones en familia. No se arrojan monedas sobre quién obtiene el maestro ... De las 6 habitaciones, tenemos 5 habitaciones principales frente al mar. Todos los maestros están amueblados con camas king, lanais privados y vistas impresionantes. La sexta habitación está en la parte delantera de la casa y tiene su propio baño ... Perfecto para una niñera o adolescentes. Todas las habitaciones de la casa están abiertas y ventiladas, con una gran cantidad de ventanas en la sala de estar y la cocina. A medida que atraviesas la casa instantáneamente te sentirás relajado con chorros de agua de las piscinas de la fuente.

This home and property are absolutely lovely. The host, Chris, provided us with a great guide for the home and things to do in the area which was greatly appreciated. The staff took great care of the home while there, and were very friendly and approachable. The layout of the property allows for both congregation and separation for larger groups, which we all really appreciated. The location is perfect too, as it's close enough to downtown to take a golf cart to just about everything you'd imagine, while also be separated in a quiter community. We were very happy with our stay and would gladly refer anyone we know to stay here.

Wedding Weekend in Tamarindo

We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect place to celebrate our wedding week in Tamarindo. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that this place was something truly special. The location is absolutely ideal—tucked away just enough for privacy, yet close to everything we needed. Each evening, we were treated to breathtaking sunsets that felt like they were painted just for us, casting golden light over the ocean and making every night feel magical.The interiors of the home were nothing short of incredible. Every room was beautifully designed with both comfort and style in mind—thoughtfully decorated, spacious, and immaculately clean. It felt luxurious yet warm and inviting, which was exactly what we needed for such a special occasion.Communication with our hosts was seamless throughout the entire process. They were responsive, kind, and went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed, making the experience completely stress-free from beginning to end.Although we did not have the wedding exactly at the property, our guests stayed here and truly elevated our wedding experience and created lasting memories not just for us, but for our friends and family as well. We can’t thank our hosts enough for sharing such a stunning space with us. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a magical stay in Tamarindo!Was not a fan of the owner I believe Chris, just very hard to communicate kindly with. Everything else was amazing!

Friends trip

Amazing house! Everything was as they had posted in description. Great location. Highly recommend renting the golf carts…easy to get around with them. Says walking distance to restaurants/bars and shops which would be doable…..but with the heat and the amount we went down there was so happy we decided to rent them. Lots of space for 10 adults. The only somewhat complaint would be the coffee pot.. as it took 1/2 hr to brew a pot of coffee. But that being said it got us out and about and we found some pretty neat little coffee shops. Amazing place… would stay here again in a heart beat!

Amazing and exceeded expectations!

There were a total of 12 - (4 couples with each of their teenage son’s) and it was simply amazing! Villa was gorgeous, location was perfect & staff were so helpful. This was our boys Senior spring break trip and we had a wonderful time. The close proximity to town made it great to take a golf cart and provided boys freedom to explore. Having the beach there on property was perfect for our entire group to relax between scheduled outings. We all wanted to stay and not leave! It was a perfect vacation!

Exceeded my expectations. Pictures sometimes are deceiving. But this property is epic.it exceeded my expectations. The property is absolutely beautiful and the staff is incredible!! The housekeeper, the groundskeeper, the security guard and the host are some of the most gracious, kind and considerate people that I have ever met! Perfect Multi Family Home

Perfect home and location for a relaxing vacation with teenagers (if there is such a thing!). The location of the home was ideal-far enough from Tamarindo to have a quiet private beach and close enough that we could get there quickly for dinners or a night out! We traveled with 4 teenage boys who said it was the best spring break they’ve had. The staff at the house was so helpful-from dinner reservations and help planning drivers and excisions to keeping the house tidy and us safe, they didn’t miss a thing! One thing I would point out is that 2 of the bedrooms (pool room and casita) are not accessible from the main house so they wouldn’t be ideal for young children. However, for teens or older couples it was perfect! Highly recommend booking here! We can’t wait to come back!

Fantastic

The house is great and as advertised. Maria and Susanne were fantastic to work with, very responsive, and happy to give us plenty of activity ideas. It is on the beach even if you can’t tell from the pictures. The location is great also. Maybe a 5 min drive from downtown Tamarindo, it’s quiet - but close to everything.

Wonderful Stay

Just got home from great stay at Casa de Las Torgugas. What a beautiful house and property! Maria was so helpful as the concierge. Bertha and Jose were also great! The nightly guard was much appreciated although we felt very safe. The property was well-maintained, and the house was spotless. Lots of excellent restaurants with just a short golf cart ride. No car needed.

Amazing Property and Staff

The property and staff exceeded our expectations. The home was beautiful and had everything we needed for our family vacation. This is a boutique hotel experience with a home feeling. Anything we needed, Susanna was quick to respond and help us. Clean, organized and luxury Costa Rica living! A short walk to restaurants, beach, or bars. Incredible place in a fantastic location!!!

Yes, Casa de Tortugas is worth 3 exclamation points!!! Our group was 2 families and the home layout was great. Suzanne, the concierge, was exceptionally helpful and went out of her way to make sure that all of our needs (excursions, activities, etc.) were met (exceeded really). If you're thinking about booking this house, hit the button NOW. You won't be dissapointed.

Wonderful stay at Casa de Las Tortugas

Our extended family had a fantastic stay at Casa de Las Tortugas. The house and property was outstanding and accurately portrayed in the listing. The staff was very friendly and kept everything in great shape. Highly recommend Chef Roy for meals at the house and Diana was a great help with excursions and transportation needs. Overall a great trip!

Stop looking, this is it!

Well managed, first class private resort property with delightful boutique hotel maid, maintenance, and private, on site guard. We also used culinary staff (extra charge} for outstanding gourmet gala dinners at very reasonable rates. Our 50th anniversary family reunion of 11 (did not use one room, could comfortably accommodate 13) was extraordinary. Costa Rica is not inexpensive anymore, but tours and arrangements made by concierge staff went off without a hitch. Even a child’s earache was treated promptly at a local clinic with medicine for 75 usd. The property is in an upscale area, not directly in the tourist row of shops and bars/restaurants, but within longish walking distance..less than a mile. The communication with the owner was swift, accurate and helpful. The welcome package was outstanding in property detail, activities coping in Costa Rica. Thanks Chris for a great stay. 9

We had an incredible time at Playa Langosta. The property is in the perfect location, close, yet not on top of town. It is located right on the beach just as stated. The house staff are truly amazing. They were helpful, engaging, and always present when needed. My only encouragement would be to update the kitchen. We LOVE to cook and bake, as well as make drinks. The appliances and pots/pans and serving equipment was either outdated, missing (no cookie sheets and only one serving tray), or not working well (blender). Other than that small piece of feedback, everything was perfect. Cheers, nick & family

Best VRBO we've ever stayed in!

Wow - what an amazing stay at Casa de las Tortugas! We just can't say enough about our week here with 13. Highlights.... The Home - the photos on the website were accurate. Large en suites with privacy for everyone, ocean views and balconies from 5 of them. Indonesian styled and comfortable. Public spaces were great - plenty of space to gather on the veranda and poolside. Kitchen was super well equipped. There was nothing we needed that we couldn't find. Location - maybe our favorite attribute of this home. We felt it was the best situated accommodation in the area. Beach had beautiful rock formations with sandy bottomed tide pools for swimming and lounging at low tide and spectacular surf displays at high tide. All to ourselves! Just 15 min walk north, was bustling Tamarindo, 15 min south was an estuary and protected nature reserve. Simply spectacular in every way with solitude on the beach for miles. The neighborhood of Playa Langosta suited us perfectly with an Italian restaurant/wine shop, great pizza place and super fun sports bar. We also ate dinner at the Cala Luna resort across the street from the house. Great neighborhood. Activities/Food - We took the owner's advice and visited the Borinquen Lodge for the day, 2.5 hours shuttle ride away. Highly recommend this trip! An amazing retreat- horseback riding, waterfalls, 2 km zipline followed by lunch and thermal pools. A long drive to get there, but worth it! We also booked Chef Sol to cater a dinner at the home. Her staff Carolina and Gabriella prepared one of the best meals we ate on the trip! Not only was the food delicious, but they treated everyone like VIPs...filling glasses, bringing great energy, and they left the house sparkling clean. We all wished we would have booked them for more than one night! The Staff - The service level provided at the house was incredible. We had 2 daytime staff- cleaning and making sure the grounds were maintained. And at night, a security guard patrolled the exterior of the house constantly. They were all so kind and helpful. Diana, property manager, could not have been more accommodating. Above and beyond. She even booked an AM fishing trip for us with just 12 hours notice. She was always available and so sweet. Our only wish was that there had been more shade/umbrellas in the pool area, but that is literally the only thing we would change. Book Casa de las Tortugas as soon as you can! You will not regret it!!

Born and raised in Columbia Missouri, my husband Dan and I still reside in our hometown where we met at 18 years old. We have two children, also raised in Columbia that are now grown and independent.
We have owned vacation properties in not only Costa Rica but Florida and Crested Butte Colorado.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

In 2003- Hearing how wonderful Costa Rica was, Dan and I took a trip down to Central America to see what the talk was all about. We fell in love with the beautiful land and the laid back vibe and gracious locals.
We chose our first home on Playa Langosta to be a beachfront 2 bedroom condo. After nearly a decade of owning we realized our love grew even more for the country and Playa Langosta so we purchased Las Tortugas in 2013. Instantly when walking through the house We knew it was the one....Love at first site.
I never understood the importance of feng-Shui until I entered Casa de las Tortugas.
(feng means "wind" and shui means "water." In Chinese culture, wind and water are associated with good health, thus good feng shui came to mean good fortune)

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

Casa de las Tortugas has a simple elegance that you instantly see when you drive through the front gates. The house has a large living area that opens up on to a large Lanai that allows you to hear the soothing rhythmic sounds of the ocean. The living area was designed to be open air if desired. Between the Ocean sounds and the gentle breezes, Tortugas will calm your worries away.
We loved the fact that the house had two story wings on each side of the house that jetted off towards the ocean.
