Everything about this stay was exactly as described in the listing except for the host; who was warm and welcoming and incredibly accommodating. The space was perfect for our family gathering. There were blankets and games galore. The space was inviting and clearly a families’ home in the sense of being cozy as well as having anything you might need. We agreed that if Jeff will have us back, this is definitely somewhere we want to come every year.

We had a wonderful stay at this Vrbo! The home was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, with everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. The location was great, and we really appreciated how welcoming and thoughtfully furnished the property was.The only thing we found ourselves missing was a microwave for quickly reheating leftovers or snacks. Other than that, our stay was excellent, and we would definitely recommend this property to others and would happily stay here again.Brian and Lori.

We very much enjoyed our stay at this Clear Lake property--it was just as advertised. Communication with the host (Jeff) was excellent and he replied promptly to our inquiries/questions. This property is located in quiet neighborhood close to the lake (literally a one minute walk). There are two (2) spacious gathering areas in the front and rear of the house with plenty of seating (with a nice lake view from the back of the house and the deck). The A/C in the house was excellent--and it was very hot outside during our stay. Overall: great place, we had a wonderful stay, and definitely would return.

Imagen de perfil del propietario o de la propietaria
We live in Des Moines, Iowa on a permanent basis but love to be in Clear Lake as much as we can.

Por qué escogió este alojamiento

We purchased this home as a family get away and vacation spot. Clear Lake is one of Iowa's Great Lakes and provides great recreation year round. The Surf Ballroom is of historic significance as well as it was where Buddy Holly had his last performance before his tragic plane accident. Clear Lake as a community does a great job of having activities planned for almost all weekends. Clear Lake has something to offer in all seasons. Winter is made for ice fishing and the Kite Festival. Spring brings early season walleye fishing and boating as well. We don't usually rent the home out in the summer but Clear Lake is magical in the summer and the 4th of July is a highlight that everyone should experience at least once. Fall is our favorite time as it is a little slower on the lake but still fantastic.

Qué hace que este alojamiento sea especial

What we love about our home is the ability to have a large group of people yet be able to shut off portions of the house to cut down on noise or to varying sleeping habits. The four parking spots also is ideal for when we have multiple families staying with us. It truly is a "play" house built for fun.
