Beautiful river house—clean, well stocked, and had everything we needed. We loved watching the rowing teams glide by! Great location close to restaurants and stores, and the hosts were very responsive and friendly. Would definitely stay again!

The house is adorable. It had everything we needed. The location was great for our purposes of the different places we needed to go around Grand Rapids. The only downside was the horrible sulfur smell from all the taps and shower. The odor emanated throughout the entire house. We understood the why from the recent flooding but it made for a very uncomfortable stay. The communication was good with the owner.

The house was clean and well equipped. We appreciated having the huge water dispenser. As has been noted, the house has well water that has a sulfur smell. That did not take away from our enjoyment.

Cozy cottage off the Grand River, fishing & kayaking everyday. Location is perfect with attractions and restaurants abound. Hosts were wonderful, this was a quick last minute booking and trip for us, and they accommodated our request for early check in.

The property was on the Grand River as advertised and communication with the host was excellent. We enjoyed watching the sun rise and set on the river each day and sitting around the fire-pit chatting at night. There was a bike/ped trail nearby which we enjoyed using. Access to freeways and downtown was easy and convenient.The water heater wasn't working when we got there so I notified Shawn who had his maintenance guy come out and fix it right away. A few minor items for improvement: 1) there was a dirty pan of cooked bacon left in the oven and 2) we needed to sweep the outdoor deck and clean the two grills to meet our standards for cleanliness.There's also a small abandoned and dilapidated house immediately adjacent to the property that was unexpected. However, this did not negatively impact our stay.

The cottage was clean, well maintained and cozy. Off the beaten path and peaceful and only a 10 minutes drive to Downtown Grand Rapids. The well water is mentioned in the listing and is very noticeably eggy but we enjoyed our stay nonetheless. The porch was a perfect spot to have coffee while looking out over the calm and gorgeous river each morning. Cozy, quaint and just what we needed for a weekend away.

This waa a great little house. The deck overlooking the water was my favorite spot to hang out. It was so quiet and peaceful. We actually tried to stay again this year but the place was already booked up!

The household in general was very clean and comfortable. The only negative was the sulfar smell when using the shower but otherwise our stay was very comfortable.

What a wonderful stay! This cozy home by the river was the perfect getaway—clean, comfortable, and incredibly relaxing. We especially enjoyed mornings with coffee on the deck, watching the wildlife along the river, and evenings by the firepit under the stars. The peaceful setting felt like a true escape, yet we were just a short drive from all the fun in Grand Rapids. This was the perfect peaceful getaway to sit and relax by the water. The home was very clean and lovely and I had everything I needed. Accessing the property was very easy. Excellent communication from the property owner. I will definitely book again if I am in the area!

Fantastic stay

My wife and I stayed here with another couple after Beerfest. It’s a very cozy and cute cabin set right on the Grand River. We enjoyed waking up to a sunrise over the river with ducks swimming by. We even went for a walk down the road to enjoy privacy and good weather. Would definitely recommend this place.

Fishing trip

We stayed at the River House for two nights and it was everything we could have asked for and more. The location on the river and views from the deck and river wall in the backyard were awesome. Everything I needed, or needed to know, from the hosts of as provided and communicated quickly. Would definitely recommend and stay again myself.
