Located in a new gated community, this home sits on the edge of Lake James and the Fonta Flora Trail, minutes away from Historic downtown! Lake James has been voted the cleanest lake in North Carolina! The small community beach borders the property and has the perfect spot to swim, boat or just rest on the bench. The Fonta Flora Trail is in the backyard leading to miles of hiking or biking around the lake. The home is a 10 mile drive to Downtown Morganton!

Based off North Carolina Commission Laws, we are required to send you a rental agreement after booking with us. Proof of ID needed for verification purposes.

The home has tons of living space! 5 bedrooms, 4.5 baths, open concept custom kitchen, dining and living, a large back porch and a downstairs hangout with a ping pong table! There are plenty of small nooks to enjoy as well. The lower level is great to relax with the family and watch TV while spreading out on the sectional couch or enjoy a round of Ping Pong. Also on the lower level is a small office nook, a bar table under the back porch, and many resting spots along the Fonta Flora Trail. Enjoy all the area has to offer or just get lost reading a book on the back porch or on the bench by the lake.

The property is waterfront on the shores of Lake James and the easiest access point is the tiny county park that borders the property. As you walk through the backyard, you will find the 4 Kayaks and 1 Stand up Paddle Board next to the trail available to you during your stay! The county park has a small beach that is perfect for launching these boats or tying up your large one for the day! Or just run down with a float and hop into the lake for a swim!

The Fonta Flora Trail runs through the back of the property. This local gem has views of Lake James, miles of woodsy exploration and some technical mountain bike features! You can also drive to the nearby Lake James State Park for some more technical trail riding on the Wimba Loops! Take a ride to Silver Fork Winery or Fonta Flora Brewery and taste the local brews. Downtown Morganton has many boutique shops, crafty art shops, fancy ice cream spots and a general store to enjoy! Enjoy a relaxing weekend away at Lake James Cove!
