Dear Patty, Thank you for taking the time to share such detailed feedback, and thank you for choosing Wonderwood Cottage for your family's anniversary trip. We're glad the home itself, the quiet setting, and the surrounding trees lived up to what drew you here. That said, we owe you an apology. The property should have been fully guest-ready the moment you arrived, and it wasn't. You shouldn't have spent the start of your vacation cleaning, working around wet furnishings, or dealing with a shower without hot water and a thermostat that wouldn't hold temperature. Having our team address these things during your stay only added to the disruption, and that's on us, not something you should have had to navigate on your anniversary. We've taken your feedback seriously and are making changes: a mandatory pre-arrival inspection covering interior cleanliness, the grounds and firewood equipment, and a full test of hot water and HVAC at every point before any guest checks in.
