¡Bienvenido a nuestra casa! Tenemos disponible una hermosa casa estilo casa de campo inglesa con casa de huéspedes independiente.* (disponible en los meses de verano desde junio hasta el día del trabajo)

¡Alquile una casa o ambas! Capacidad para 15 personas: ideal para grupos grandes o familias que viajan juntas. Coeur d ‘alene Lake Beach and Boat marina está justo bajando la calle. La casa principal contiene 4 dormitorios y 2 baños y fue completamente remodelada en 2012 con una mezcla arquitectónica de piezas modernas y de época. Cuenta con una gran sala de estar, sala familiar, comedor integrado, cocina, lavandería y cómodamente once personas. Impresionante plano de planta, perfecto para varias familias que viajan juntas, y un gran espacio común para que las personas se congreguen. Tres pisos en total, pero con habitaciones y un área común en cada piso para que los grupos puedan estar juntos, pero también pueden extenderse y tener algo de privacidad.

El mobiliario es una mezcla ecléctica de antigüedades regionales que incluye un piano de salón de caoba de principios del siglo XIX, un gabinete Hoosier de finales del siglo XVIII y un bufé provincial francés de caoba. La calle arbolada es tranquila, con una iglesia al otro lado de la casa, pero al final de la calle hay dos excelentes pubs, un parque comunitario, una tienda de alquiler de bicicletas y una tienda de comestibles del vecindario. Idealmente ubicado a solo unas cuadras de todo: playa, golf, paseos en bote, senderismo, lugares de pesca, buceo en acantilados, puerto deportivo de la ciudad, río, rutas de senderismo, rutas en bicicleta, parasailing, jaulas de bateo, tenis, teatro, heladerías, tiendas, parques de la ciudad , pubs, supermercados, Coeur d 'Alene Lake Resort, restaurantes y transporte público.

La casa principal contiene 4 dormitorios y 2 baños y fue completamente remodelada en 2012. Tiene una gran sala de estar, sala familiar, rincón comedor integrado, cocina, lavandería, sala de estar y capacidad para once personas.
Esta casa ofrece 4 colchones gemelos, o puede juntarlos para hacer dos colchones King. También hay 1 colchón con cubierta tipo almohada Queen, una cama de tamaño completo y dos escondites en la habitación familiar. Un paquete n play también está disponible bajo petición.

Además, justo detrás, en el mismo patio, hay una pintoresca y encantadora casa de huéspedes de estilo artesanal, ideal para los niños o las parejas que desean privacidad adicional. Esta cabaña tiene 1 dormitorio separado, 1 baño, capacidad para 4 personas, cocina completa, rincón comedor, armarios dobles y lavadero. El dormitorio tiene una cama queen muy cómoda y la sala de estar es un futón de lujo. Fue remodelado recientemente con pisos de madera, chimenea romántica, encimeras de granito, electrodomésticos más nuevos, baño de mosaico y elaborados adornos de madera inspirados en Craftsman.

Great Location!

Easy walking distance to downtown, coffee and dessert. It’s a quaint place, and was great for a large group with lots of space outdoors for meals and conversation.

Family fun time!

House was prefect for a big family get away was close to stores and a short drive to Silverwood and tripleplay fun place. Host was very nice and quick to answer any questions.

Great house, great location

We stayed for four nights and enjoyed one day on the lake and two days at Silverwood. Location could not be better. Walking distance to grocery store, shops and restaurants. House is great, well appointed.

Perfect spot for our group

We came in for Ironman and Andrew's house was perfect for our group. Quiet neighborhood, some great restaurants/coffee right around the corner, less than 10 minute walk to downtown. Andrew was very responsive and helpful. Would absolutely stay here next time we come to CDA.

Andrew provided exceptional service. The home is charming and offered everything convenience you would need. Great location and plenty of living space to spread large groups out. The deck was perfect for early mornings and late afternoons. Highly recommend.

Great Victorian Home in Fantastic Location

Andrew and Lindsay's property was great! Fabulous location and close to everything! We walked to Capone's for dinner in 5 minutes, and I biked to Safeway for ice cream and back in 6 minutes! We rode bikes to City Park for the fireworks and got home in 10 minutes, avoiding all the traffic! The house and guest house were great and had everything our family needed, including space for all 11 adults. Eating outside on the patio under the grapes was awesome. The kitchen had everything we needed to make dinner two nights. Beds were comfy and the main house was spacious. Check in and check out were super easy. Loved our stay and would stay here again!

Twelve thumbs up!

I’m a huge believer of “you find what you’re looking for.” In full transparency, this house is *old,* and it won’t be difficult to find things to annoy you… but that’s not what we found at all! We had PLENTY of room for a combination of three families. The house is SO so cute- it’s a beautiful, fun house that is itching to share decades and decades of stories kept within its walls. In total ignorance, we reached out to the owners with what has to have been THE dumbest question on the planet, and I was so pleased with the graciousness and promptness of the reply. The only complaint we have is that we were forced to cut our trip short by one day- a day we would have LOVED to have spent relaxing in this wonderful abode.

close to downtown

It was clean but kind of creepy. The fridge in the main house broke down 3 days into the week we rented. Lucky for us we rented both the large and small house so was able to save most the food. The home owner did have someone look at it later that day then someone come fix it the day after. Due to the incovienece a small refund would have been nice as we paid quite a bit to stay there. We have decided that we will be using hotels from now on as all the extra "fees" made this very expensive. Hotels are now cheaper and provide more for what we pay.

Needs some TLC

Although the house did what it needed to do. We had 9 adults and 5 kids. The location was good and there were plenty beds for all to sleep. It did lack in many areas. There was ants in the kitchen, the garbage hadn’t been taken out when we got there so we had to get creative to handle that. No cable tv, the cooking utensils were lacking. No ice machine, the fridge in the main house leaked water, had to keep a towel to soak up the water. We ran out of toilet paper and paper towels.

We're happy to hear that you enjoyed our location and that there was plenty of room for your whole group. We do supply ice in the freezer considering that their isn't an automatic ice maker. Thank you for reminding guests that we have streamed television instead of cable. We have it listed as such, but some people fail to notice it. We do provide Netflix free of charge, Amazon Prime, and basic televisions stations. We have since taken care of the leaking freezer, and sugar.ants. We do supply paper towels and toilet paper, however it can sometimes be difficult to estimate the amount people are going to use-we don't want to display too much where it gets in the way. That is why we store them in an accessible closet so that guests can restock their supply as needed.

Spacious property and great location,a little run down & the majority of the appliances did not work

We rented this property for two families and 3 Ironman participants during the Ironman week. It was a great set-up for 2 families and the location was prime for the Ironman. The home was spacious and quite charming. However, we had planned to prepare almost all of our meals at the house in preparation for the Ironman and very few of the appliances worked. The grill was extremely dirty with leftover food scraps still on the grill and was out of propane. The oven was completely broken and did not work at all. And the toaster was also broken. Thankfully, once we realized, this the family arriving later in the week was able to bring a blender and toaster with them. We were unable to use the oven the entire week and couldn't use the grill the first half of the week. We confirmed with the owners prior to arriving that they had all of these appliances since we would need to be preparing food at home and not eating out in preparation for our race. The home is accommodating to large groups and has a lovely outside deck, however, be prepared for a lack of working appliances and rundown appliances in the kitchen. Also of note: we got locked in the upstairs room as the door handle falls off, the beds are pretty old and stuff (some are on wheels and move around as you try to sleep) and the bedding is fairly worn.

We were very happy to hear that these guests enjoyed so much the space and setup of the house that we specifically tailored to accommodate large groups or families. We also appreciate how they noticed the unique charm that we have tried to weave into the space as well, to provide a home away from home comfort without the coldness that can sometimes come from a large space. As always we are a little discouraged if a guests feels as if everything wasn't 100% but will always use that as an opportunity to improve for the next guest. As this review mentions we were contacted on the third day of their week stay that the propane from the grill was empty and that the oven was not working. We immediately sent someone over to assess the situation. The propane was not empty but rather the valve had been turned off, but the oven was in fact broken. This was the first we had heard of the oven not working. The repair man said the main circuit board had water damage and that it was most likely caused by the pot filler above the stove accidently being spilt onto the control board. Unfortunately we have no idea of when or whom was responsible for the damage. We were also told it would likely be at least a week for the replacement part to arrive and relayed this to our guests. Fortunately, although we realize it was an inconvenience, we did have the other oven in the guest house kitchen that they were able to utilize. At that time we also were not notified of their concerns regarding the toaster or blender. We do have a toaster in each house and kitchen. The one that was broken was an extra that we had added for a very large group that had requested it a few weeks prior. We had left it just as an added convenience and although it broke, there were still two other large toasters available. Also we had a blender that they just were unable to find in the cupboard. Had dback regarding the door knobs and bedding and have since made the proper repairs and have replaced all of the bedding for 2017.

Family Reunion in July

Such a cute house in a great location. Owners are amazingly responsive. We had a coffee pot that didn't work and they made several trips to bring us one that worked. Gave us the opportunity to walk to a coffee shop around the corner that we really enjoyed. The outside pictures are older, and the vegetation has really grown up. The yard could therefore use a little TLC/Trimming. You can't walk into the house without brushing the bushes. It would have also been nice to have the outside furniture cleaned so we could use it. The house was pretty clean overall but could use a deep clean (crevices of couch etc.) And, my fault for not taking note, but even though it sleeps 15, there's really not a place all 15 can gather together. I would take note (part of the charm of this place) that the main house is difficult to shower in for elderly as it requires stepping into and old fashioned tub. We had such a great weekend! Thank you!

Not what we expected/too expensive for what it was

Property was not well maintained. Very uncomfortable beds/bedding. The layout of the property was weird. The Table is garbage and trying to eat on it was horrible because it was so uneven. The foundation of the house was iffy and The TV was basically a computer screen. The picnic table outside is in need of major repairs and the BBQ barely worked. For the money we paid, I am surprised this house was in the condition it was. The best part of the property was that it was in walking distance of shops and the water but overall Very disappointed. I don’t typically leave unhappy reviews, but if we had paid much less, I would have expected what was there - but since this was the price that it was, my expectations were higher.

In fact, we completed a full renovation in the spring of 2023, which included new furniture and updated photos to ensure that our guests have a comfortable and enjoyable stay. We understand that the layout of the house may be unconventional compared to modern homes, but we believe it adds to the charm and character of the era in which it was built. We also understand that Coeur d'Alene can be an expensive town, especially during holiday weekends when demand is higher. Amazing location and super fun house

Our family was exceptionally happy with our stay. There was more than enough room and lots of space for us to gather. The house is eclectic which makes it so fun and charming. We walked down to the lake every day and loved the neighborhood!!! We will definitely be back!

We appreciate your perspective on the situation, and we would like to provide some additional context. On the day of your arrival, there was an unprecedented heatwave in the Pacific Northwest, with temperatures soaring to a record 120 degrees. At 3:30 pm, just before your scheduled check-in time, we conducted a thorough inspection of the property and recorded temperatures between 68-74 degrees in all rooms, which we believed to be comfortable given the extreme heat outside. However, upon driving by the property at 4 pm, we observed that the front and back doors were left wide open, despite our earlier communication about the importance of keeping them closed to maintain a comfortable temperature. We were later informed by a neighbor that emergency services had been called due to a medical emergency, likely related to the heat. It was surprising to us as we had seen the guests for only a short period before the emergency vehicle was contacted. We were informed that the guests had been outside for most of the day prior to their arrival, which likely contributed to the heat exhaustion that was suffered. We rushed to the scene and offered assistance, but it was apparent that our presence was not needed. We understand that this experience was distressing for everyone involved, and we sincerely regret any inconvenience caused. While we did not hear back from you directly after the incident, we would welcome the opportunity to discuss the situation further and address any outstanding concerns.

Great location, nostalgic home

This house is located conveniently to downtown CDA, and we took advantage of that for morning walks and shopping. As a baby boomer, the home reminded me of visits to my grandparents when I was little. The older generation oohed and aahed over the original architectural features of this great vintage house. It served us well for our family gathering.

Nice location!

This home is located walking or bike distance to everything. The owners provide a few bikes so that was fun for our almost 13 year olds. There are several rooms and beds so lots of sleeping space. It’s an old historic home so upstairs is quite hot and one of the bedroom AC units wasn’t working but there are fans to use if you need to. While the family room isn’t really furnished for gathering together comfortably there is a nice back deck and a playroom downstairs in the basement that looked comfy (we did not use it). The cottage put back was fun for the kids to feel independent. The kitchen is cute but not really set up for major cooking - but it’s fine for basic cooking. The cabinets and drawers are in need of replacing so seem a bit shaky. The upstairs bathroom was lovely with a deep claw foot tup with skylight over it - so nice for sunny morning baths! The owners are very responsive and ready to address everything you need!

The Lake place

The property sufficiently met our needs and the proximity to the Lake, downtown area and restaurants was a bonus. As out-of-staters we wore face masks and surprised that restaurant help was not required to do the same.

Owner rented the cottage

We showed up after a 5 hour drive to find some lady smoking weed in the cottage. I contacted the owner because the cottage was the main reason we rented the property. Our stay was May 31st through June 5th and he stated he didn't really think of it as a June reservation since it started in May. He offerred to refund $200 and would attempt to re-rent it. We stayed at a hotel.

This is an unfortunate situation. Although we would like to always provide the guest what they want, and appreciate the motto “the customer is always right”, there is clearly a time when this is not appropriate and the guest does need to do their due diligence to ensure what they are renting is what they want. We have no interest in misleading anyone, or have an unhappy customer, however on that note it is not realistic for us to double check with the guest every time a reservation is made, that they have read all the information that is clearly provided. The title of our property “two for one” is meant to address our high season audience, where 95% of our bookings originate and are from June to Labor day. During this time, we have large groups traveling, for a family gathering of some sort. Because of this, we provide both houses to accommodate the larger groups. During the off season, we find that guests travel in smaller numbers, so we rent the two properties separately at a reduced rate to capture this market. In the very first few sentences we explain that the smaller house is not available during a certain period. If a guest reads anything after the title, they would have to had read this. This customer did read this, however admittingly, misread it. Due to Covid-19, we extended our period from June to July for the second house to be included. We stated in the first two sentences of the listing description that the smaller house was only available for reservations AFTER June and until Labor Day. After would indicate, July and August, and first week of September. He saw the word “June” and assumed it was included, because a portion of his reservation fell into June (his reservation started in May). This was one of three mistakes he made in the making of the reservation-the other two of which were able to correct. It was clear that he made this reservation in a haste. Upon is arrival we had already had our calendar blocked for several weeks and denied other reservations requests from people who clearly understood the property description. Unfortunately, when they arrived, they learned of their mistake, communicated it to us, and wanted us to take the responsibility for their mistake (one that they admitted to). We did not think this was fair. VRBO reviewed the guest’s complaint and agreed with us, that the information was clearly provided to them and this was a mistake they were responsible for. After eating our complimentary snacks we provided at the house, and arguing immensely with the guests who were staying in the smaller house (I have no idea if they were truly smoking “weed” as this guests indicates, and it was never communicate to me that they were), they made the decision to stay in a motel.

All of Coeur d'Alene's main attractions are within a picturesque walk from the house. The beach and boat marina at Coeur d'Alene Lake are just a 5-minute stroll away, where you can rent boats and jet skis. Right down the street, you'll find the vibrant Farmers Market and the lively Summer concert series, Live After 5.

While nestled in a quiet residential neighborhood, you're never far from the action. Nearby, you can enjoy great pubs, a community park, a bike rental shop, and a neighborhood grocery store. We've preserved some beautiful period pieces, such as the original clawfoot tub and fixtures, and although the kitchen cabinetry is new, we have thoughtfully incorporated the original Hoosier baking cabinets.
