Welcome to Nakukui Hale, your own private Hawaiian sanctuary — a beautifully designed estate for up to 8 guests in a gated community. A resort-style waterfall spills over lava rock into a deep blue-tiled heated pool. Wander the lush landscape, listen to colorful birds sing, and unwind in the elevated private gazebo as the sun sets over the Pacific. Just minutes from Ali'i Drive, Magic Sands Beach, Ironman Pier and the best restaurants in Kona town. This is Hawaii living at its absolute finest.

Designed by acclaimed interior designer Somerled Designs, the Nakukui Home sits on a single level surrounded by lush tropical lawns in the exclusive Kahakai Heights community.

The resort-style backyard is the heart of the home — a waterfall cascades over black lava rock into a deep blue-tiled heated pool, while a separate spa sits tucked among lush green foliage, alive with birdsong. Dine al fresco at the outdoor BBQ, or simply lounge on the lanai as the palms rustle overhead.

Inside, the fully equipped chef's kitchen features premium All-Clad cookware, Keurig, Instant Pot, and a fresh bag of local Kona coffee waiting for you. The spacious living room centers around a 65" Samsung Smart TV with Netflix, and blazing 1 Gig fiber WiFi keeps everyone connected throughout. Central A/C keeps every room perfectly cool on warm Hawaiian nights.

Sleeping arrangements: King in the master suite with ocean view and walk-in closet, two Queens in the second bedroom, and a King in the third — all dressed in luxury linens.

Everything you need for the beach is already packed — chairs, umbrellas, snorkel gear in all sizes, sand toys, a cooler bag and a wagon to carry it all. Traveling with a baby? A crib, pack n' play, baby bathtub, night pads, and high chair are all on hand. Workout weights, yoga mats, and hairdryer round out the rest.

The community's private streets offer stunning Pacific Ocean views on every morning walk or evening stroll — and a beautiful 3-acre park is just steps away for a lazy afternoon game of frisbee.

This home warmly welcomes registered guests only (max 8). External visitors and events are not permitted per our hosting permit. Noise sensors and exterior cameras help us keep the community peaceful for everyone. Pool and spa use is at your own risk — please supervise little ones at all times.

We had a wonderful stay! The house was lovely and included so many great amenities, including a pool and hot tub. It was also very family-friendly, with a crib for our 8-month-old and several toys to help keep them entertained.The host’s communication was excellent. When one of the TVs stopped working, the host went above and beyond by purchasing and installing a new 65-inch TV the very next day. We truly appreciated the exceptional hospitality and would happily stay here again!

Amazing property!

Our stay here was amazing! The house is tucked away in a beautiful, quiet, gated neighborhood. We stayed as 2 families (4 adults, 4 kids) and there was plenty of room and things to do. The outside landscaping and pool were such a hit, especially with the kids. The property was extremely clean and well kept. The property owner had excellent communication and made sure that we had everything we needed both before and during our stay. Definitely a 5-star recommendation

We absolutely loved this house. Everything was well maintained and very comfortable. The location on the island made it easy to get around. The owner was very responsive and the house had everything we needed. We would definitely stay there again and have already recommended this house to friends.

Beautiful home. Great location.

We loved our stay at this spacious, lovely home. The location is on the best side of the island, central to beaches and food options. The beds are comfortable and the community is quiet. We spent lots of time at the beautiful Kua Bay. Peggy, the property manager was wonderful to work with, as was the homeowner. Thank you for a wonderful stay for our family vacation.

Second time staying

This was our second time staying at Sumit’s property, the last time being in Feb 2020. The house was just as clean and nice to stay in. It was equipped with all you need to feel right at home.

Wonderful Kona stay

Large pool property, which is kept very clean. Fully stocked kitchen and awesome bbq on the back patio. A great home for cooking dinners and relaxing by the pool after spending the day exploring the island. Located in a gated community, with an amazing hilltop view of the ocean. Owners were quick to respond to any questions or issues we had.

Wonderful property!

Great stay here with extended family. Close to kona shopping, etc. Owner is very responsive. Property was well cleaned and maintained. We spent more time at the house than originally planned, because it was our own tropical oasis. :)

Property very Welcoming

The property is BEAUTIFUL,the pool is fabulous and the house is amazing. Our family came to Kona to celebrate Birthdays and could not have picked a better place. Relax by the pool in a quiet neighborhood

Perfect Vacation House

I can only summarize our stay in one word: Perfect! The house was exactly as described and pictured. Our 6 year old fell in love with pool and never wanted to leave the house. Very close to shopping and very close to the Kona airport. House contained everything we needed. Definitely would like to book this house on our next visit to Kona.

Luck of the Irish!

We celebrated our 70th birthday here, and loved every minute of our stay. Each morning we sat outside and enjoyed our coffee surrounded by bird calls and lush vegetation. We found the host and Peggy very helpful. ♥️

This is an exceptional vacation home. Well appointed in every way. Swimming pool is warm and refreshing. Easy access to the north or south part of the Big Island. Shortcut trail out of the community allows for easy 30 minute walk to restaurants, shops, and beach along Ali'i Dr. Beautifully landscaped home in a very quiet community.

The neighborhood has broad walking sidewalks with serene ocean views for morning and evening strolls with the family, a large open park and is in a gated, small community very close to Kona downtown.

The house is in a gated community surrounded by lovely homes within a few minutes drive to Kona downtown along the water with all the restaurants and shops. This house has a beautiful backyard and a heated pool, enjoyable with plenty of privacy and even has a path leading to a private gazebo on the property. A small path at the end of the community leads to Ali’i drive and is also walkable to the restaurants and shopping area.
