Welcome to this renovated condo located on Amelia Island Plantation- Omni! This oceanfront condo is perfect for the entire family, and is also ideal for hosting 2 families with 2 master bedrooms both boasting en suite bathrooms and kids sleeping areas. This property has easy access to the beach, and is within walking distance to the Omni Hotel. Sit on the back patio and enjoy your coffee while overlooking the Atlantic. There's no better way to start your day! Thanks to the wall-to-wall windows, the living area is sunny and has plenty of natural light. Prepare the most delicious dishes and snacks in the well-equipped kitchen; you will surely have all the essentials and some more to show off your cooking skills! This condo also features two primary bedrooms and a sitting room with a trundle bed.

Things to Know
There are about 40 stairs leading up to the condo, as well as a pull-up for unloading and loading.
Check-in time: 4:00 p.m.
Check-out time: 10:00 a.m.
All guests shall abide by the good neighbor policy and shall not engage in illegal activity. Quiet hours are from 10:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m.
No smoking is permitted anywhere on the premises.

Lovely vacation spot

We all enjoyed our stay at 1004 Captain's Court. It had a beautiful view, was clean and comfortable, and was well stocked. We would stay there again. However, the stairs are not for the faint of heart.

Love the island, great place for a vacation, the location and resort is excellent. The landscaping is gorgous. Condo was good, still needs a couple updates. Floor plan was great, master bedroom facing the sunrise was beautiful each morning.

Lovely spot. Lots of stairs

Had some bumps in our four day stay. The AC stopped working twice. My shower in the bathroom didn't put out hot water. HOWEVER, the incredibly quick response time from the manager made it so very nice. We had the AC fixed in an hour or so (it acted up again just before we left and we just let them know) and the shower was fixed in the morning. It didn't interrupt our vacation at all.Note to the owner - there is some water damage in the ceiling in the dining room that may need to be addressed.

Nice condo

We were warned about all the stairs so we expected them. There are 3 sets of steps inside the condo but only one set had a handrail. The other 2 need handrails too for safety. We had a child and an adult that fell on them; a railing would’ve been helpful in both instances. Otherwise a very comfortable stay with great views of the ocean.

Great location

Spacious enough for 5 adults. Beautiful view. Great location - short drive to restaurants and stores. Plenty of dishes, glassware, and pots/pans (we cooked a complete Thanksgiving meal). Be prepared for lots of steps from parking lot to unit. Only issue was musty smell.

Spectacular views walk to beach

Location can’t be beat. This condo is perched on a high bluff above the beach. MBr faces ocean with deck and chaises. Comfortably furnished. A few items that need updating but this condo was a great value. There are many stairs so avoid if this is a problem. If you love the beach and sound of the ocean then you will love this spot

Wonderful condo! Beautiful views!

We had a wonderful time with our family. The stairs from the parking lot can at first seem daunting, but rest assured this condo is worth the trek. Lovely views from all floors. Big TV for family movie nights. Perfectly appointed galley kitchen. Clean, well functioning laundry room. Office space with ocean views for zoom calls. Easy beach access with the best sea shells we’ve ever found. Really happy we stayed there!

The condo itself was well maintained and clean. Would have preferred a bed with a firm mattress but that is a minor point. Having coffee on either balcony was a huge plus in itself. We would definitely consider renting this unit again.

When can we come back?!?

We loved this home so much. We had family in the next door condos and ours was the best condo for family game night after the sun went down. We walked to Omni every day for the pool and loved that resort. When we weren’t there we were at the beach enjoying the waves. Our teens loved renting bikes and riding all over the Omni area, which is loaded with paths and nature. The bed on the top floor was a great surprise and gave us an extra bed when cousins wanted a sleepover. Beach chairs and the beach wagon were a bonus too!!! Can’t wait to come back next year!!!!!

Leslie went above and beyond to help us and make our trip enjoyable. Some of the best customer service I have ever received and the place was amazing. Beautiful View

This property is in a great location and has a beautiful view of the ocean! It is a short and easy walk to the beach. The shower in the Master Bedroom was not draining properly, but the property manager sent someone within an hour to fix it after we contacted them. Only negatives: There are no tvs in the bedrooms and the sheets on the beds were not the best. The fitted sheet would come off in the middle of the night. Overall, it was a great place that accommodated two adults and four teenagers.

Couldn't Have Been Better!

My family arrived very late and I was anxious about getting access to the property, but the instructions were so clear and organized and 24-hour assistance was available, so it was easy. The condo itself was perfectly situated near the larger resort and had quick access to the beach, trails and amenities. The view can't be beaten and there was plenty of room for my family of four to each have space to ourselves. I will absolutely go back to this property!

Bathrooms are updated and clean. The rooms have all-new dressers and night tables. The path to the beach is steps from the condo. This was a great stay -- we were there for a month and really enjoyed it. The pool was under construction while we were there, but it looked to be almost done, and there is a tennis court on the property too.

Solid rental

Good unit. Many, many stairs- to get up to the buildings and within the unit. Was challenging for older guest. Master bedroom doesn’t cool as well as the rest of the third floor due to high vaulted ceilings with inaccessible loft area. Can remedy somewhat by leaving Master bedroom door open to allow air to circulate. Good views from 2nd and 3rd floors. Kids bedrooms gave away from beach, master and living area face the beach. Unit is next to hotel which is convenient. No noise or crowd issues from hotel. Good sound insulation- never heard anyone else in the adjacent units.

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: very tight space for a 3BR. Uncomfortable for more than 4 adults. Kitchen so small it only fits 1 person at a time. No cabinet space at all for storing any food. Also on 3 levels, so lots of stairs. Had unfortunate situation on day 2 with invasion of flying ants, covering the walls, drapes, crawling in our ears in bed. Mgt company was very accommodating and moved us to another unit. I would highly recommend Amelia Rental & Management, but not 1004 Captains Court.

Ant Problem

We had to move to a different location because one of the bedrooms was infested with ants. Our child was not able to sleep in the room because the ants were everywhere including the bed. The property manager came twice to spray but it was no help. Also when we arrived, the upstairs balcony door was broken. It had an open gap about an inch wide and the parts of the door frame were just left on the balcony. This was fixed promptly but it was odd that it was left in this condition on the day of our arrival. We have stayed in multiple Captains Court villas in the past and never had any problems. They needed an exterminator to control the ant infestation but said it would be a couple of days before they could get there, so we asked to be moved. The management company was very responsive and got us moved to a different rental but it was not an ocean view. The rating would have obviously been higher without the ant issue.

Don’t let the pictures fool you.

Bugs, dirt and a broken bed is what we arrived to. It seems like the owners or management company got by with the bare minimum when it comes to renovating. The beds were super uncomfortable and one was broken and unusable when we arrived. It was frustrating that it was not fixed beforehand and it was extremely noticeable as you walked up the stairs (along with all of the dirt and dust under the bed). There were little ants with wings everywhere. And while the second flood patio had a great view we couldn’t use it the entire time we were there because of the no-seeums that attacked you as soon as you were on the porch. The kitchen “looks” updated in the pictures but half of the cabinet drawers were broken and hard to open/close because the tracks were broken or gone. I could look past the hodge podge of decor (looks like they couldn’t decide between coastal and The Beetlejuice movie) but we really couldn’t get past the uncomfortable beds that creaked every time you turned over or felt like you were sleeping in the floor. Lastly, the upstairs loft area does have a trundle bed. But be prepared to sweat your butt off of it is at all sunny. Also beware if you have a little kid. The upstairs patio door did not lock at all. We’ve stayed at several Omni Villas over the years and this was one of our least favorite when it came to layout and comfort.

Be honest

The view was great from the top floor. The villa was nice. The bath on the top floor had a VERY slow drain, almost completely blocked, but they may not have known this. Some dishes were dirty. I do not recommend if you have bad knees due to the amount of stairs inside and outside the villa. The picture showed a tennis court and pool for captain court guests only, but we were told we did not have access to the tennis court, a code needed which we could not have. Also, when I read the details about the place, it mentioned the Omni pool, so I asked if we had access to the Omni pool and was told it was right next door and they had a key. I asked if we also had access to the Omni gym, and I was told no. I asked again about the Omni pool- so pool only. They said the pool is right beside it. When I got there, I asked again about the Omni pool, and continued to get vague answers. We did not have access to the Omni pool. We did have access to the small pool that captain court only guests have , but not the court as stated on the sign at the pool. Tennis and the Omni pool weee the main reasons for picking this place. I asked for pictures of the stairs since I have bad knees, no response. There is really no way to avoid the steps. There is a posting on the refrigerator that clearly states, “You do not have access to the Omni pool.” Just be honest and let people know before they book this place. Very deceiving. The place was descent but not worth over $3000 for 5 nights.
