Welcome to your little piece of heaven on earth! This multi-level condo is located on the Amelia Island Omni Plantation Resort and is within walking distance to the beach and shops. It's perfect for large families or long stays as it boasts plenty of space for everyone. There is a beautiful walkway to the on-site community outdoor pool and beach access. This condo features a large and well-equipped kitchen, a family room and balcony that are great for entertaining, a large dining area, ocean views from the kitchen, dining room, and balcony, and an on-site washer/dryer.

Things to Know
Please be aware that starting Monday, August 11th: There will be a project in the parking lot area that will involve construction noise and increased activity & is projected to last approximately 6 weeks.
A pool card is required for the community pool.
Check-in time: 4:00 p.m.
Check-out time: 10:00 a.m.
All guests shall abide by the good neighbor policy and shall not engage in illegal activity. Quiet hours are from 10:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m.
No smoking is permitted anywhere on the premises.
Trailers and motorcycles are prohibited in this community.

Nice location

The property was in a really nice location. However, the property was very outdated. We enjoyed out trip but definitely felt that the condo was not as shown in photos with listing, or very accommodating to guests (bedding, kitchen accessories, etc.)

1987 called and wants this condo back

This is going to be my first poor VRBO review. However, the service and professionalism of the management company was excellent. They were responsive, accommodating, and easy to work with. That said, this property was very disappointing. We were four ladies enjoying a reunion trip, so our priority was separate bedrooms. In the listing, this property appeared to have adequate bedrooms and an airy, comfortable living room/dining room. Unfortunately, the photos are deceptive. Outside this dated, multi-level condo building, there appears to be a major structural overhaul underway, creating constant construction noise. Much of the parking lot is unavailable and we were not warned about this. Inside, the condo is smelly, tired and dated. The built-in shelving unit in the living room is cluttered with dusty, sea-shell knick-knacks, and random beach-themed decor. The wobbly dining chairs are too uncomfortable for a game of Scrabble, the cupboards are cluttered with cast off board games, playing cards, toys, etc. The kitchen is unrenovated, with a useless cupboard hanging over the small island, cramping the space and serving no purpose. The refrigerator is apartment-sized. The mishmash of kitchen utensils appear to be castoffs; there was only one sharp knife available. The sink sprayer didn't work, which was not surprising as the faucet is original to 1987. (The photos of the kitchen, in particular, make it appear larger than it is). The bedrooms are dated with 80s-style bedding, uncomfortable twin beds in two rooms (plus kid-colored paint and children's furniture), old pillows, and in the closets, “entertainment systems” with tiny TVs on extension cords atop random, cast-off furniture. One of the en suite bathrooms has a massive crack in the granite countertop. All three bathrooms are unrenovated, with low counters, dated fixtures and decor, and "double flush" toilets. Artwork throughout the condo looks to be straight from a flea market. Most of the lightbulbs were the too-bright daylight variety making for an unpleasant evening environment. Double pane windows throughout are filthy and cloudy. On the small balcony, the concrete floor is buckling and chipping; a tiny bistro table is rusting and the rug and cushions on two small chairs are dirty. This place benefits greatly from photo filters and advantageous angles that make it look much nicer than it is. Amelia Island is exquisite but this unit is not what you expect for the location and the money.

Found our happy place

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Such a comfortable condo. 7 friends meet here for a wonderful long weekend. We had everything we needed. The common area has lots of seating. Kitchen was well stocked for cooking, bathrooms all had plenty of towels. Beach Walker on Amelia plantation has a very nice pool area, with a few shady pavilions. Condo has 4-5 stairs between each level. living room /kitchen, 2 bedrooms 4 twins with 1 bath, and 2 king with 2 baths on lower level. We would stay here again! Beautiful sunrises, lush landscaping, super relaxing.

Amelia Vacations

This was our 4th family vacation to the Omni Beachwalker in the last 7 years. We very much like the area, the beach and pool area at this resort. However, I would not want to rent unit 1129 again for 2 reasons. There is a cabinet over the island in the kitchen area that is clearly a danger to anyone over 5’7” tall, and 6 members of my family group range from 5’10” to 6’1”. We had all banged our heads a couple of times during the week, ending up with cuts and bruises. The second reason is that the designated parking space was crowded by a golf cart parked in the adjacent area. This made it very difficult to park a mid sized SUV. It required extensive maneuvering to get my vehicle into the parking space. This became a frustrating chore after doing routine shopping and eating out each evening. We’ll plan to vacation in this area again, but will definitely avoid Unit 1129.

Amelia Island Getaway

Amelia Island is beautiful and the location was great. The rooms were quite a bit smaller than they appeared in the pictures. The bedrooms were clean but the gathering room couches and blankets in that room not so much. Very unhappy that the owners had their golf cart in the assigned parking spot for the unit. Often had to park 2 or three units away.

Quick getaway.

I love Amelia Island - condo was great location, pool, beach, lots to explore in the area. Our biggest challenge was getting the temperature in the condo to regulate at night. What we finally discovered the morning of check out was that the thermostat in the bottom floor bedroom controlled the bedrooms. This did not work well if that door was closed. Other than that, great stay!!!

Relaxing stay in a great location, minor items of note

Overall, was a relaxing stay in a great location. Bike trails were great. Easy access to the pool and beach was nice. Brunch and Spa at the Omni was great. Only a few pieces of constructive criticism. I would have expected hand soap to be supplied as part of the rental but was not (and I called to validate). The pictures definitely made the unit look bigger and more updated than was the case, but big enough for our group. Lastly, the owner of the property parked their golf cart in the assigned parking spot of the unit. Many other owners parked their golf carts off to the side so was a bit miffed that they took up the parking spot that should have been ours as part of the rental. Would rent again, but just a few minor items.

Only issue we had has due to the extremely cold weather and lack of heat in the lower level bedrooms. This might be an issue in summer with AC but can confirm that. Otherwise no issues.

Disappointing

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Disappointed due to virus and how rental agency has not been willing to refund any percentage of our stay. Notified agency via phone and also went to office to turn in key as proof that we would be leaving early due to virus and closings around the plantation. Left two full days early and they would not refund any portion of our stay. Frustrated with their unwillingness to refund the two days, or give credit money for a future stay, or refund some portion of stay. The office was also unwilling to ask owner if they agreed with policy or if they would refund a percentage of their money collected. Disappointed with decision making and will not use them for future vacation bookings. They were professional during the process but should have adapted their polices during this virus. VRBO had adapted their refund polices.

Not recommended

The unit is roomy however it needs some maintenance and updating especially its carpeting and furniture. The pool is under construction until July and there are no amenities included from Omni other than being able to be inside the gate. We were not allowed to use tennis courts beside our unit either. While you may be on the Plantation property you do not actually get the amenities of it so I would highly recommend booking a villa through Omni instead. We arrived at 1:30 & were told we had to wait until 4 to get in the unit. We went by the drop box which consisted of one piece of paper. This was redundant as the information could have easily been texted or emailed to us and saved us an extra trip. The check in process is not efficient
