We stayed here for two weeks in July for my 50th birthday. Everything about this place is perfect. We actually preferred the beach in the backyard to Matira. Although Matira is just as gorgeous. We felt like we had it all to ourselves because the neighbors always kept the no trespassing sign up. We even had a manta ray visitor in the backyard beach one day. The house is fully stocked with everything you need and very well maintained. Restaurants and shopping all within walking distance. But my most favorite part was meeting Louana. She really went out of her way to make not only our trip, but my birthday special. She always made sure we were taken care of and had everything we needed. And it felt genuine. That woman deserves a raise and I will never forget her. Book this house NOW.

Great home in a beautiful location

This home is absolutely stunning—right on the water with breathtaking views that made every moment special. The interior was beautiful, comfortable, and well-maintained, making it the perfect getaway spot. Our host was fantastic—warm, responsive, and incredibly helpful throughout our stay. The villa is exactly as pictured and described. The location is right on the beach and close to markets, stores and restaurants. I would come back here again and again. Luanna helped us every time we had questions. The communication is very quick response time.

We absolutely loved our stay at this property. Both the owners and the property manager, Luana, were exceptionally welcoming, gracious and accommodating. We did not rent a car during our four-day stay, so appreciated the ability to walk to a handful of dining options nearby and also have the small market so conveniently close. Our tweens loved playing on the beach in front of the house, and exploring with the house's kayaks. Would love to have stayed much longer, and wholeheartedly recommend it to any family looking to unwind or explore the Matira Beach end of Bora Bora.

Excellent vacation home!

We had the best time at this beach house in Bora Bora! The place is beautiful, super clean, and right on a private beach. Waking up to ocean views every day was unreal. The house had everything we needed and felt really cozy. The host was super friendly and respond you right away. It honestly felt like our own little piece of paradise. Would 100% stay here again

Honeymoon in Beautiful Beach House in Matira Beach!

The house and the location were absolutely amazing. The house was exactly as described. The living area and kitchen were clean and had an amazing breeze from the ocean and both bedrooms were airconditioned. We were walking distance to everything that we needed, restaurants, markets and bars. This is the perfect stay for anyone looking to visit Bora Bora.

Location, location, location

Matira beach is exceedingly beautiful. The beach house is located a stone's throw from intercontinental hotel which gave us a wonderful option for dining. Most meals we fixed at the house which has every cooking gadget available. We did need to wash dishes and cooking utensils before using. Bedrooms, bathrooms, countertops all clean. The pictures online represent a good view of the enclosed yard above the beach. However, what's not in view are the multiple boats at the beach so it was difficult to easily enjoy in the water in front of the house. The great news is that a public beach is just as you enter the intercontinental and it is clean with restrooms and absolutely gorgeous water.Homeowner is wonderfully responsive as well as Louann who met us at the beach house when we arrived, gave us a great tour and was very helpful. We will be back, hopefully!

Beautiful House and Property

The owner sends a welcome message will very helpful details before you arrive. The property manager, Louana, is really at your disposal. She is so kind and responds almost immediately to any text you might send. The house is lovely. The beach is exquisite. The neighbors are friendly and always wave if they see you walking in the drive. This property is a very good value! This was our second stay and we will definitely stay again next visit.

Perfectly positioned beach house

We have always stayed in resorts when taking tropical holidays but thought we would experience a beach house this time around in Bora Bora . Very glad we did . The house is charming and located right on the beach . Being keen swimmers , we were able to enjoy the crystal clear waters of the lagoon through out the day . Walking distance to restaurants and grocery stores . It was also very convenient to be picked up for lagoon tours directly outside our house . We had a ball !

Heaven on Earth

First and foremost, the property owner was incredible. They had everything arranged for our transportation to/from Viatape with only a few brief emails. We were greeted by an extremely taxi driver and our name was on a sign, so no possibility of missing the driver. As she drove us to our house you repeatedly pointed out locations of interest, including: cultural locations, places to eat, shop, best places to park to approach Matira Beach, best places to go for sunsets and did so on the most pleasant manner. Upon arrival at our beach house we were greeted by Louana who was absolutely lovely and indispensable. She too, pointed out many locations and provided excellent tips. We only needed to contact her once and she was prompt and fixed our problem no time! The property was quite possible the most ideal location. You are within walking distance of the local Magasin or convenience store/grocery that has an abundance of local foods, water, soft drinks etc. That is located to the right of the entrance to the property and if you walk a bit further past the Magasin you come upon AVIS (we rented an E-Moke) and then Le Plage where you can rent a boat with or without a license. If you walk left from the entrance to the property you’ll soon find yourself at the only local beach on Bora Bora, Matira Beach. Words cannot describe the beauty of this beach. The sunrise at the house is amazing, house is wonderful and on a private beach. Clean, well kept house/yard. Kayak was great!! Amazing!

Beach house

This is an incredible place to stay in Bora Bora. The property manager goes above and beyond to make your stay comfortable. The house provides everything - AC in both bedrooms, full kitchen, utensils, and dishware, as well as a large TV and gear for snorkeling / floating in the water. Unlike the water bungalows, you will have a shaded backyard complete with chairs and hammocks to lounge on and enjoy the view, plus a sandy shore to walk along just below. The water is clear and leads to two large coral reefs nearby; you and your family can snorkel safely away from boats and see a decent number of fish. The view of the sunrise is breathtaking, but no sunset - you will need to take a quick walk to Matira beach to see this. It’s a convenient location overall, close to Lucky House restaurant (highly recommend), beaches, docks for excursions, and two grocery stores within a 15 minute walk. Would recommend to anyone considering a beautiful, relaxing vacation in Bora Bora.

Wonderful time

We loved the house and the location! We contacted the host on Vrbo - Louana-T, and she made arrangements for the taxi to come pick us up at the water taxi and also for when we left. In case you don't know, the airport location is not connected to the island. There is a water taxi that will take you from the airport to the island. There is an Avis rental car agency at the dock where you can pick up your vehicle, if you rent one. There is another Avis within walking distance from the house. There are 2 double kayaks at the house and lots of snorkel gear. We kayaked across the bay to the coral garden and did some snorkeling. Another day, we just put our snorkel gear on, and swam from the beach in front of the house to the nearby reefs. There are several within 2 minutes swim. The house had all the kitchen gadgets in case we wanted to cook but we used only the coffee pot. We had lunch and dinner at a couple of restaurants nearby. One of them is the Beach Club Restaurant which is right on the beach. Also, the Intercontinental is next door and you can eat there as well. Matira Beach is about 2 minutes walking distance. The entrance to the beach is right across from the entry to the Intercontinental. Matira Beach is the most beautiful beach in Bora Bora. It is a public beach. The water is very calm and warmer than in other places. We watched the sunrise from the house and the Sunset from Matira Beach. Absolutely beautiful!
