Very clean beach front stay. Every thing we needed to have a great time at Carolina Beach. Comfortable bed kitchen well equipped and just steps to the beach. Rockers on the porch to enjoy lessening to the waves The beach was so nice and not crowded. We will definitely be back.

Overall great stay at the Carolina beach house! The host met us outside upon arrival which was nice since the address could be confusing. She made sure we had everything we needed for our stay and was super responsive via text. The place was clean, quaint, and location was PERFECT. We loved the outdoor area in the back and the corn hole boards. The only thing to note that wasn’t perfect was that the water had a bit of a sulfurous smell which we know is sometimes common at beach homes especially older ones - so wasn’t a problem for us but if someone was sensitive to that then this may not be the place for you. Thanks for a great stay!

The property was very clean and the check in process was super easy along with the wonderful host. Genevieve was extremely helpful and nice. Corn hole in the back and right next to a private entrance to the beach. This is an amazing place to stay for a vacation trip to the beach. We will be back!!

Genevieve was a great host . She was very friendly and courteous with us all . We felt like home away from home. I really cant say enough great things about the Carolina Beach House. The location was excellent and the private access and back yard were really a nice touch to the overall appeal to the property. Definitely will be staying with them again. You cant go wrong with this choice !!

We decided some time ago our next adventure in life would be to own a beach house vacation rental. We came to this decision after visiting a quaint beach vacation rental on the coast of Georgia. The owner had six units which he personally oversaw living in the upstairs quarters (which we now do here at The Carolina Beach House... read more!}. His kitchen served as his work station and greeting area. After visited him we came to the conclusion... why could we not do something similar? So we undertook the hard, but fun work of researching what it would take to run an "Inn". Providing food service is something we did not want to undertake. So not a bed and breakfast, but rather a simple, clean, comfortable, and safe guest house type accommodation. Next was the process of visiting the various towns and beaches lining the North Carolina Coast. Having our real estate licences in the state of NC fortunately kept our reach just to this wonderful state. We fell more and more in love with Carolina Beach with each visit. Then a matter of finding the perfect property. Something manageable, yet viable to be a full time career for the two of us. What was formerly "Alexander's Hideaway" found us that magical once in a lifetime opportunity! Having survived five major named hurricanes over 60 plus years of existence this wonderful injured beach house was in need of extensive loving and care. Upon your visit the before and after pictures will truly show you the story. New metal roof to replace the dying multi-layered shingled aged roof, leaking wood windows replaced with new low-E vinyl efficiency windows, new furniture, new appliances, freshly painted inside and out, fresh look to the block construction foundation walls to include a colorful concrete sealer, reconstructed decks to support the weight of any number of guests... the list goes on! We're so pleased with the work put into our beach house by all involved. We look forward to meeting you!

Specifically this property... the Beach House is actually a very versatile duplex. We briefly considered a larger property - more of a hotel type feel, but concluded it would be too overwhelming for just the two of us. The Town of Carolina Beach and New Hanover County recognize this property as a duplex. Reason for that is the two side- by- side accommodations (bottom floor) have an adjoining door. So the two spaces are continuous living space and may be shared. And the large second floor has an adjoining door to the smaller third floor flat. So with this comes three separate accommodations to rent as vacation rentals. Although a daunting task to start with all of the necessary renovations, we felt once complete the beach house would be within our ability to maintain and entertain the number of people who could visit with us at any one time.The lower right space featured in this listing is perfect for a couple and perhaps a child or two. One bedroom and with a newly furnished Day Bed with Trundle in the family room. The quaint and quirky "D space" titled, The Seahorse, features a seahorse theme and a 3/4 tall bedroom door with top portion of the opening closed with swag curtains. Has a full kitchen as do all the other spaces. Open Dining and Family Rooms with wonderful views of the back yard and dunes. Private seating covered patio out back and of course access the private boardwalk. The "C space" , The Sand Dollar, next door is a mirror image of the Seahorse with the exception of not having the additional Dining area rather has a second Bedroom... sleeps up to six (pull out sleeper sofa in Family Room). Then there is the "B accommodation", The Anchor. With a full sized Kitchen, ocean views from all bedrooms truly serves as our anchor for the Beach House. So having the vision and what the prospects could come of this endeavor we dove right in!

Once you turn into the driveway and first-hand view The Carolina Beach House you'll feel a sense of going back in time. The unique charm of the Beach House will calm all of the day-to-day stress you may have had. Opening the front door will further turn back the clock. ... original tongue and groove wall boards and ceilings, the quirky original slotted bedroom door shortened from the removal of the damaged bottom caused by previous flooding events. The open top section of the doorway now with swag curtains for privacy. To step past the bedroom and witness the wonderful open space of the dining and attached family room is truly inviting. Then to step out onto the back patio to hear the waves breaking only steps away! Views of the dunes and private access to the beach and gathering deck atop the dunes completes the release. You won't want to leave. Don't believe us? Absolute peace and tranquility await! Put down the cell phone and enjoy!
