First, this property has a three-night minimum stay requirement, which is clearly disclosed at the time of booking. If a guest does not wish to stay for the required minimum number of nights, the reservation should not be made. In this case, the decision to leave early was related to a change in your personal circumstances and your daughter’s surgery being moved to an earlier date. While I certainly understand that unexpected situations happen, this was not something caused by the property or the host. The nightly rate for this property was approximately $50, which is already an extremely affordable rate for an entire home in Florida. Unfortunately, I cannot further reduce an already very low nightly rate or refund reserved nights simply because a guest’s personal plans change after booking. Regarding the bugs, this is Florida, where insects are unfortunately part of the environment. Even with regular professional pest-control treatment, an occasional insect can enter a home when doors are opened, particularly in the evening. This does not mean that the property has an infestation. We take pest control and cleanliness seriously and address any legitimate issue that is brought to our attention. I also respectfully disagree with the statement that there was no communication. Before you even entered the property, I responded to you numerous times—approximately 20 messages—and made
