At Peace Downeast - Seaside Home with Dock
At Peace Downeast is a beautiful oceanfront home in the scenic, quiet, and private Plumb Point neighborhood. Enjoy four acres of forest, a small and sandy pocket beach, deep water dock and a well-built post and beam home in this amazing setting. At Peace Downeast is a two bedroom, two and a half bathroom home with guest quarters above the garage. The house is comfortable for up to eight guests. At Peace Downeast has recently been upgraded to high speed fiber optic internet. At Peace Downeast provides a one-level living option for two guests with a well-equipped kitchen, a comfortable living area with great views, a bright and airy sunroom attached to the master bedroom which has two twin beds which can be combined to make a king size bed. The first floor of the home also has a full bathroom.
The upstairs of the home has one bedroom with a queen bed and dresser and a media room with a queen size sleeper sofa. The upstairs access has a catwalk that looks down over the first floor living room. The second floor of the home includes an additional full bathroom.
The garage sleeping quarters are spacious and well equipped with two twin beds and a half bathroom. The first floor of the garage stores four single kayaks for tenants use.
The exterior of At Peace Downeast is glorious. There is a deep water dock within 50 feet of the main house deck. Off the driveway there is a path to the pocket beach. This is a great place to launch the kayaks included with the rental. The home has eastern exposure which makes for great sunrises over the bay.
At Peace Downeast is thoughtfully designed, private and spacious. Come and enjoy some time in this seaside paradise in Deer Isle.

*Deer Isle is a bridged island, easily accessible by car. The island does not have public transportation so a car is highly recommended for your stay. The closest public airports are Bangor International and Hancock County-Bar Harbor.
*Pets are allowed with approval and an additional non-refundable pet fee.

At Peace Downeast was the centerpiece of our amazing Deer Isle vacation!
We all enjoyed the tranquil, private setting and had fun exploring the water and surrounding area with the provided kayaks. The house was perfect in every way with everything we needed for a relaxing vacation: plenty of spaces to hang out inside and out, a well-supplied kitchen, and a long wooded driveway/road that was perfect for walking our dogs. We enjoyed the sunrises, the sunsets and everything in between. Thank you to The Island Agency for your prompt help with all of our needs.

Beautiful Setting, completely private
The property is at the end of a dirt road on a quiet part of the island, surrounded by trees with a beautiful view of the ocean. You are 20 minutes from Stonington, 10 minutes from the village of Deer Isle and surrounded by beautiful nature. We say seals, eagles, ospreys, deer and fox. On quiet nights, the field just up the road is full of lighting bugs. What a beautiful place to relax for a week.

Quiet and relaxing
This home was amazingly quiet and relaxing. The setting on the water was beautiful, the home had everything you could need from comfortable living room furniture and excellent kitchen supplies to the use of the kayaks. We were there for a week, and would love to come back when it works out.

Awesome!
We just loved this place!!! The home is so comfortable and the location is just perfection! We kayaked right from the dock…. Seals, eagles, osprey, loon, porpoises…. We enjoyed it all!!! Offers easy access to many conservation preserves for walking, and Isle au Haut for more strenuous hiking adventures.

The name says it all
Thanks to the Island Agency staff for helping us find this great property. The accommodations were clean and well laid out for our family. We thoroughly enjoyed the Kayaks, sitting on the deck watching the tides. The view was amazing! Great spot off the beaten path. We hope to return!

Beautiful house, beautiful setting
We had a wonderful 2 weeks at Peace Downeast. The house is very comfortable and spacious, with the additional sleeping accommodation above the garage giving space/privacy for some of us. The dock is incredible as a place to spend time and tie up a boat. The kayaks were a delightful addition, allowing us to explore the nearby islands. Kitchen was well appointed, beds were comfortable, large living room, and lovely deck with a gorgeous view and outdoor dining set up. We loved it!

HOUSE RULES NO SMOKING No large parties or gatherings No fire pits unless advertised and included
CANCELLATION POLICY All cancellations must be in writing and received by Agent. Cancellations may only be made between the date that a reservation deposit is received and a date determined to be 45 days prior to the tenants scheduled arrival date. Cancelations within 45 days of arrival will not result in a refund in whole or part of rental monies received. If a cancellation is made prior to 45 days of arrival, the Agent shall, as an accommodation to the Tenant, make an effort to re-rent the property at the published rate for the rental term reserved. No refund of rents paid will be made until the canceled period is re-rented and confirmed. If the canceled period is re-rented, any rent and taxes paid will be refunded less a $100 administrative fee. If the re-rental amount is less than the published rate, any difference in rental rate remains the sole obligation of the tenant. If the unit is not re-rented, all rents paid, processing fees and taxes shall be forfeited as damages. This cancellation policy is strictly followed. Tenants are encouraged to purchase travel insurance for all vacations to cover many situations that may arise that might cause one to cancel vacation plans. There are many independent insurance providers available to tenants. I understand that the insurance company holds this policy and that The Island Agency does not determine eligibly of claims.
