East Side Escape - Simple Cottage by the Sea
East Side Escape is a simple and charming cedar shingled cabin on the shores of East Side Cove. Enjoy watching the tides rise and fall, lobstermen bringing in their catch and so much else from this classic seaside location.
East Side Escape is a two bedroom cabin. The space is efficient in size. There is a kitchenette with a benched dining area. The kitchenette has a small electric range, dorm size fridge, service for 4 people. The kitchen has a small prep space and all the pots and pans to cook meals at home. East Side Escape has a comfortable sitting area with three arm chairs and a small area table. The views from the living space are big. There is always something to see when looking out over East Side Cove.
East Side Escape has two bedroom spaces. One of the bedrooms has a queen bed and the second bedroom has a full bed. The rooms are comfortably furnished with nightstands, dressers and in the queen bedroom a bookshelf, with some good reads for the rainy days in midcoast Maine. The cottages does have a private half bathroom and a three quarter shower. In true Maine cottage fashion there is a little quirk: the shower is separate from the half bathroom and is actually located in the full bedroom. It is a stall with a glass door enclosure.
East Side Escape has a large lawn, a small seaside deck and a picnic table across the driveway where guests can enjoy simple and scenic al fresco meals. The deck is one of the highlights of the outdoor area with a patio and four seats just feet from the cove. There is a stairway down to the gravel water frontage which can easily be used for water equipment access.
East Side Escape is a true gem. Come and unwind and enjoy some salty air in this simply sweet location in Deer Isle.

HOUSE RULES
NO SMOKING
No large parties or gatherings
No fire pits unless advertised and included
CANCELLATION POLICY
All cancellations must be in writing and received by Agent. Cancellations may only be made between the date that a reservation deposit is received and a date determined to be 45 days prior to the tenants scheduled arrival date. Cancelations within 45 days of arrival will not result in a refund in whole or part of rental monies received. If a cancellation is made prior to 45 days of arrival, the Agent shall, as an accommodation to the Tenant, make an effort to re-rent the property at the published rate for the rental term reserved. No refund of rents paid will be made until the canceled period is re-rented and confirmed. If the canceled period is re-rented, any rent and taxes paid will be refunded less a $100 administrative fee. If the re-rental amount is less than the published rate, any difference in rental rate remains the sole obligation of the tenant. If the unit is not re-rented, all rents paid, processing fees and taxes shall be forfeited as damages. This cancellation policy is strictly followed. Tenants are encouraged to purchase travel insurance for all vacations to cover many situations that may arise that might cause one to cancel vacation plans. There are many independent insurance providers available to tenants.
I understand that the insurance company holds this policy and that The Island Agency does not determine eligibly of claims.
