Hackmatack Haven - Clean, Close to Sand Beach
Newly Constructed Victorian Cape in Stonington. Hackmatack Haven is a beautiful Victorian Cape located just on the outskirts of Stonington’s quaint village. Enjoy being close to town and the beach in this conveniently situated house on by the sea.
Hackmatack Haven is a two bedroom, two bathroom home. The lovely construction is pronounced all throughout this space, from the hardwood flooring to the bright and spacious rooms Hackmatack Haven enjoys all the conveniences of home. The main or first floor of Hackmatack Haven consists of the kitchen, living area, a first floor bedroom and a 3/4 bathroom. The kitchen has new appliances including an electric range, coffee maker, toaster, dishwasher and of course a lobster kettle. There is an open concept dining and living area which makes entertaining guests easy and casual. There is also a recently completed three quarter bathroom with a shower stall and a twin bedroom all on the first floor of the home.
The second floor of the home has two bedrooms and one additional bathroom. The master bedroom is located on the second floor and enjoys distant views of the western Penobscot Bay. Hackmatack Haven also has a bonus space which the homeowner is using as a second bedroom, furnished with two twin beds.
The outside of Hackmatack Haven is quite lovely as well. There is a beautiful patio surrounded in lush greenery and equipped with a couple of adirondacks which enjoy those distant ocean views. Guests of the home will enjoy being just a very short stroll from Stoningtons Sand Beach or the scenic and picturesque village area of the town.

** Note - Hackamack Haven does have iron rich water, also known as hard water. This water can have a tendency to stain appliances and fixtures, while it is not unsafe to drink, wash in, cook with we do like to make guests aware of the issue ahead of scheduling your visit.
* Please note that if you elect to book this property you will be expected to sign a vacation rental agreement with The Island Agency. For specific terms of the agreement inquire before using the Book Now feature as the expectation of having a returned agreement within 7 days of reservation.

CANCELLATION POLICY
Cancellation Policy: All cancellations must be in writing (email is acceptable) and received by the Agent. Cancellations may only be made between the date that a reservation deposit is received and a date determined to be 45 days prior to the Guests’ scheduled arrival date. Cancellations within 45 days of arrival will not result in a refund in whole or part of rental funds received. If a cancellation is made prior to 45 days of arrival, the Agent shall make a good-faith effort to re-rent the property at the published rate for the reserved rental term. No refund of rents paid will be made until the cancelled period is re-rented and confirmed. If the cancelled period is re-rented, any rent and taxes paid will be refunded less a $100 administrative fee. If the new rental amount is less than the published rate, any difference in rental rate will be deducted from the rental returned to the tenant. If the unit is not re-rented, all rental funds paid, processing fees and taxes shall be forfeited as damages.
This cancellation policy is strictly followed. Guests are encouraged to purchase travel insurance for all vacations to cover many situations that may arise which might cause one to cancel vacation plans. Life happens and we don’t want you to lose your deposit. There are many independent insurance providers available to tenants. I understand that the insurance company holds this policy and that The Island Agency does not determine eligibility of claims.
