Ocean Annies #324,Oceanfront, Pool

Ocean Annies Resort (formerly Sands Beach Club) is a great family friendly retreat in the heart of Shore Drive. This 2 bedroom, 2 bath condo has beautiful ocean front views and all of the essentials of a vacation home. The condo is located on the 3rd floor. Comfortably sleeps up to 4 people, with a queen size bed in the main bedroom, two twin beds in the second bedroom, plus two full bathrooms. Main bedroom allows access to the ocean front balcony, too. The spacious, open floor plan combines a living room, dining area and wet bar, plus, well-stocked kitchen space, complete with a full-size refrigerator, oven, stove, microwave, double sink, dishwasher, dishes and utensils. Of course, plenty of counter space includes the small appliances too, toaster, coffee maker, blender, etc.

When you stay at Ocean Annies you'll be directly on the beach. take advantage of all the recreaction activities, too. There's tennis, and volleyball courts, fitness center and rental sports equipment is available to all guests, too. There are 2 outdoor pools, an indoor pool, and designated outdoor grill areas. Any and all outdoor pools are open April through September, they are NOT HEATED. There's afternoon LIVE music at Ocean Annie's beachfront cafe, on-site tiki-bar and take-out grill, too. Additional amenities include: free Wi-Fi, concierge services, gift shop, and a common area TV. Laundry service is available on the even numbered floors (above and below this unit). Free parking.

Ocean Annies Resort is conveniently located within minutes, between Barefoot Landing and Broadway at the Beach, both will WOW everyone in your group. Both of these huge FUN complexes offer unique places to shop, eat, celebrate & play. Myrtle Beach Boardwalk has the Sky Wheel, a 200' high view of the coastline in a totally enclosed, air conditioned gondala. Stroll the renovated oceanfront boardwalk area, with gift shops, historic arcades & tourists attractions along the old original Pavilion area. Broadway at the Beach has over 30+ great restaurants, water park with go-cart track, and Pelicans baseball games.

Barefoot Landing is famous for golf but loaded with attractions & special nightly events along it's 27 acres of waterfront setting. Plus, the BareFoot Marina offers guided waterway tours, fishing excursions & dinner boat cruises. There are endless specialty boutiques to seek out the perfect take-home souvenir. Enjoy amusement rides & entertainment like theatre musical productions and LIVE appearances at the music venues, complete with fireworks displays weekly, during the summer season. Apache Pier is within minutes for fishing.

Great Location

We always stay in this area and enjoy it. This property easily became our favorite and we will keep it in mind for our trips back. Love that we can walk to restaurants, the pool was awesome (half inside/ half outside).

Great resort!

The resort is great and offers pools, great tennis, basketball and volleyball courts. The on-site restaurant Twisted, is absolutely delicious! The condo is right on the beach, and I mean I could have jumped onto the sand. We loved staying ther and will be back! The check in process isn’t the best, as you have to go to a secondary location, but I think it is worth it.

Great place, but needs some attention.

We really enjoyed our vacation, but the property wasn't very clean. The first night we had no hot water or AC because someone had turned the breakers off. The master bedroom does not have a King bed, it is a queen. Other than these few things, it was a great week.

It was clean, well maintained and even ready earlier than previously stated. I absolutely love staying on the dead-end road. The inlet is always a lot of fun and did not disappoint this year also. We got the mixed drink buckets at Don't Get Twisted and loved them and the souvenir buckets! Theresa was an absolute pleasure to work with! Thank you for a wonderful trip for me and my family!

Wonderful property. Kitchen was nicely stocked with item needed to cook in. Very roomy, beutiful view true ocean front. Easy parking. The in house restaurant was good. The location is great food, shows, golf, shopping and grocery all within two miles. Considering trivel 8 months a year since 2012, I would give this a solid 7 out of 10. I did not like making reservation on vrbo only to have and additional third.party with another rental agreement requiring deposit, and additional terms not listed on vrbo. It worked out but first time I have experience this.anywhere in the country. I've used vrbo over 15 times. It's still a nice property.

Hot water heater was broken, master bedroom queen bed was collapsed and not able to sleep on. Couch and chair is 30 plus years old, filthy and sits like park benches. Air conditioner did not run adequately enough to cool the condo. We repeatedly asked Owner Direct Vacation Rentals to be moved and we were ignored. This place is not fit to be rented or occupied. I would not recommend Condo 324 or Owner Direct Vacation Rentals to any anyone.

Poor unit

The property in itself was very nice and we’ve stayed here before, just in a different room. This unit was not clean, and maintenance was there 3 times within our 7 day stay. You will be charged for any inconvenience, such as, having sand on the floor or touching the air conditioner. The refrigerator leaks, the microwave smells and there isn’t hot water in one bathroom or the kitchen sink. The balcony door doesn’t work and this doesn’t even include all of the cosmetic issues. This was the most I’ve ever paid for a week stay in Myrtle Beach and the worst place I’ve ever stayed. I had to call the property manager because of the disgusting curtains and when they came to get them, dust flew all over the room and she confirmed that they were dry rotted. The ceilings are cracking and there are patched holes in the wall. Don’t even try to sleep in the bed because it feels like you’re laying on a piece of cardboard. I laid down and I was sleeping on the box spring. Overall, this was a terrible experience for my trip and I feel like I would have enjoyed it better if I was taken more seriously about the situation.

Great/ Unbelievable View

This is a hard one for me. Tracy that manages this property was very kind and helpful, however there were some pretty big red flags. First upon unpacking our weeks worth of luggage I wanted to make sure we took pictures of all of the things that were a long just so we weren't charged. Holes in walls, light bulbs out, kitchen faucet broken and the cleanliness sub-par. None of those things made a difference in our stay we just didn't want the extra charge. We had a very busy week as my son was invited there for a youth football bowl. Practice, practice, practice. Tracy did offer to have maintenance come to fix everything but we didn't want then there during our time. They could do it after we left. Even after we mentioned that,the maintenence guy showed up and strongly encouraged us to let him in because they had back to back stays and they needed to fix it. Hmm, why did this have to land on us. Like I said we could totally handle the hiccups we didn't mind the few probs. The location was AMAZING. ABSOLUTELY STUNNING. Even after the maintenance guy came after we asked for him not to we were still going to give a positive review. THEN..This happened a few days left into our stay- in between a double practice for the kiddo, the boy was napping and my husband and I were enjoying some quiet time in the living area looking over the beach. We work incredibly hard and don't get to enjoy much time together all of the sudden we here the door unluck and a couple walk right on in. You h

What to expect

I will do my best to list the good, the bad, and the ugly. First, the good. the property location is great. you are about a mile away form all restaurants and shopping. The beach is clean. We also liked the fact there is a sand bar. The area is nice and the neighborhood is great. So, 100% on the location and the beach. I would highly recommend. The AC and hot water worked fine. when I read the reviews, I called the place to make sure. they said it is working. I believe the previous renter experienced an issue with the breaker. now let's move to the bad and ugly. The pictures show the place as a big place. it is not as big as it looks. 4 people are good for the place. anymore will be crowded. And the pool is not as big as it looks. My kids love to spend time in swimming pools and doing Jumps and flips. They were there for only 10 mins during our stay of a week. I will have to agree with Karen on the bed. It is a queen size, not a king, I even took a picture of the mattress tag. and it wasn't comfortable to sleep on. It s time for a new mattress. The furniture is outdated. the place can use some new furniture. The area is safe. we would leave our stuff and umbrella on the beach and come back later to find everything as we left it. The view is great but the balcony is small. Again, picture is deceiving. The big question, would I rent it again? the answer, may be but won't be my first choice.

We are S.C. local residents and wanted to own ocean front properties so that we could easily make a weekend trip to be on the beach. It's been our happy place for many years. Nothing beats a glass of wine from the balcony or the fun and people watching at Ocean Annie's in the afternoons. Ocean Annies is a Myrtle Beach landmark for 30+ years now, everyone should make it part of their family traditions, too.
