Walk or bike just over half a mile to the charming village of Sullivan’s Island, where iconic restaurants and bars (like Poe’s Tavern) reside. Less than a mile up the road is Fort Moultrie. Here, history buffs can enjoy viewing one of the oldest still-standing forts on the Eastern Seaboard. You can also head over the bridge to Mount Pleasant (about eight miles away), where you’ll find no shortage of shopping and dining, or go just two miles further to experience the rich history of downtown Charleston.

The flag street home is even better than advertised! The closeness to beach and views are amazing! The beds are very comfy! Perfect location with a small town feel where you can easily get to Charleston when you want to!

The location was perfect, and communication throughout our stay was excellent! The home itself was charming, though it could use a bit of maintenance—some of the kitchen cabinet doors came off the hinges when we opened them. Aside from that, everything else was great and we really enjoyed our stay.

Beach getaway!!

Absolutely loved this home! My family and I were in town for a wedding, this home allowed us to relax and enjoy the time we had by the beach. We have already talked about rebooking for another week next year. 11/10 recommend staying here!!

Loved this location!

Great home!The location was so close to the beach. Hole also had very comfortable beds and a large kitchen. Enjoyed the large common areas to gather inside and outside.Would recommend a friends and family!!!

Excellent Location

We stay at this home every time we visit the Charleston area. We love Sullivan's Island, and the location is perfect. The pathway to the beach is next to the home, and from the deck we can see the water and watch the cargo ships go into the ports. The home is perfect for 2-3 couples. Two bedrooms have en-suite bathrooms and one bedroom is next to a full bathroom (small shower). This is a cute beach home, with an enclosed "porch" and open deck for enjoying the sounds of birds and breezes blowing through the palms. A short walk to the historic Fort Moultrie, a nice walk to all the restaurants on the main street, 10-min drive into Mt Pleasant for shopping, and 15-20 min drive to downtown historic Charleston. We're already booked for our next trip in February.

Perfect beach getaway!

My daughters and I loved our stay - great location! It was a quick walk to the beach, quick walk to restaurants, and a quick drive into Charleston. The home is well equipped and has a real beachy feel.

Perfect Location

We absolutely loved our stay at this beautiful beach house! Amazing location and loved the porch and two decks! We were a family of 5 and had plenty of space. Loved the older beach house style and decor, hard to find in this area. Thanks for sharing your home and we hope to be back next year!

Better than expected

The accommodations were great. Three couples and everyone had their own space and plenty of space to congregate. The room off the kitchen and living room is FANTASTIC. Great place to eat, visit and then head to one of the two decks to look at a beautiful backyard and a view of the ocean. Couldn’t ask for a better location.

Great location

We’ve been to SI several times, and this was our favorite rental. The location was perfect — close to the beach with underrated views, and walkable to restaurants and the park. the house itself was more than adequate for our family of four. Thanks for a great stay — we can’t wait to come back next year!

As close to perfect as you can ask

So many great features of this house, but I will list a few of the key items for anyone trying to decide whether to book this property: * Location is excellent. Little to no auto traffic here. A good amount of foot traffic because it's right next to the beach access. The lighthouse is right next door, but the light from it was never an issue. Just a very cool landmark. * Comfort - the beds were extremely comfortable. We all actually commented how we never count on that at a rental property, but really slept great! * 3 full baths was a huge plus. Water pressure was really nice. * Everything in the house worked well from appliances to lighting, wifi, etc. Thank you for keeping it all in such great shape. * The sun room was a wonderful touch. It rained a lot when we were there, so there wasn't much chance to use the balconies, but the sun room with a door open helped us hear the birds and a gentle sound of waves. * Very ample parking and access to the garage. It's a little dark if you arrive at night, so have your cell phone light ready when you're using the key pads. You will go through several doors and up a flight of stairs before entering the home. * Tons of towels, nice linens, and all the necessary toiletry items were a huge plus. The special welcome gift when we arrived was a pleasant surprise since we arrived later than we hoped. (I won't give away any secrets). We really can't wait to stay at this exact property again in the future.

The backyard is 100 yards from the beach. The historic lighthouse is next door. Great dining is walking distance from the property. Charleston is an easy 20 minute drive.

Perfect location to meet our basic needs

My sister and I booked this place to celebrate my mom’s 70th birthday with her two friends. The location was absolutely perfect - short walk to the beach and you can see the ocean from the back porch. We walked the ~10-15 minute down to the Sullivan’s Island restaurants two nights. The house itself was bare bones but nice enough for what we needed. I wish it had come with beach chairs or even just the option to rent them, as we flew to Charleston and had no way of bringing our own chairs. The enclosed patio was beautiful and comfortable. Bedrooms were nice, but the bathrooms could use some updates. They’re in pretty rough condition which made them appear dirty. Kitchen was well stocked. My only major complaint is that we couldn’t get the Roku to work on the downstairs TV. There were four remotes and no instructions, and when I emailed for support their recommendation was to “try every remote,” which we did. Alas, we only really wanted to watch sports one night, so it wasn’t a huge deal.

Checking out the area!

Easy check in. Super location. Close to the beach and great local restaurants. Sullivans island is a nice community with warm friendly people. Comfortable indoor furnishings and beds. Could use additional/updated outdoor deck furniture. Exterior needs some repair. Would definitely rent this property again.

Great location but AC not working

The location was perfect. Short walk to a beautiful beach and short walk to some great restaurants. House was nicely sized for 5 adults. There is a lovely ocean view from the deck. No chairs available to us for the beach. Unable to bring our own as we were flying. AC was not working properly, the management company was responsive the first 2 days, put a window AC in to help. The bedrooms were still very warm at night. The last 2 days they never responded to our texts. They sent a message the day we left, saying someone would be out to fix it. Unfortunately, that didn’t help our stay but hopefully will the people after us. Disappointed with the management company.

Perfect beach house

Came with a group of friends and their spouses for a 3 day stay, wished we could’ve stayed longer! Parking and beach access are great. Couldn't be more convenient to both the beach and the little downtown of Sullivan’s Island. The rooms were all very nice, comfy beds, two with en suite bathrooms. Property manager very responsive to text when we couldn’t find the key initially at check in. Would definitely stay again in the future!

Cozy house on Sullivan’s

We had a wonderful two weeks in this cozy house right next to Charleston Light. It was well equipped, cozy for 6 of us but still enough room. Has plenty of places to sit and relax and a nice kitchen. We’ll be back!

Fit our needs perfectly

We knew the early Spring weather wouldn't be beach weather, but we didn't want to see only buildings out our windows either. This house allowed us to see beach from the two decks, and take a beach walk even when not swimming weather. Everything was as listed. There was plenty of kitchen equipment, which we use extensively due to food allergies. Clean rooms, comfortable bed, quiet and private even though so near the walkway to the beach. It only took 20 min to reach downtown for tours. We enjoyed a carriage ride, walking tour, plantation tour, fishing trip, tour of the fort and aircraft carrier--a great mix of learning history during the day, and relaxing comfortably at night. Wi Fi worked great, better than at home.

Great house, great location. Just don’t rely on Uber/Lyft to get to Charleston as we found out they are often not available. However, the restaurants nearby are within walking distance and are very good. Kitchen is well stocked with pans/utensils.

Great house, beach, and time with family!

The house is large and open with a good view of the ocean. The beach was a short walk down a wooden walk way. It was just right for the grandkids to learn to skim board. Easy drive to Patriot's point, and down town Charleston. A short walk to restaurants and the Republic ice-cream parlor. Really liked the quite location away from typical beach town tourist industry. The kitchen was big enough for four adults to be cooking alongside each other. It could use additional food storage containers and staples like oil, baggies, and those kind of things that you forget to bring with you. It could also use a bit more in the way of beach toys for the kids and chairs for the adults. My only real complaint was with communication with the management company. I sent a couple emails and did not get a response. It would have help us prepare better if they had responded to our questions. All in all it was a great place to meet our son and his family!
